@๖ۣۜV Jaejoong Yunho had to attend the ongoing investigation and answer questions. He could act like the best and played along pretending to be shocked at the kidnapping of the boy. Along with hearing there was stuff missing from the younger's room in his house. Of course there were things missing. To recreate his room, Yunho had to steal some things from the house because he could not replace them. Jaejoong had to believe this was real. He had to believe that he was home there where Yunho had put him. That boy could not leave him or reject him ever again.
Yunho kept an eye on him through a device as big as a cellphone. The camera in Jae's room was recording live day and night and the contents could be displayed on that device. He could also see it on his phone and various other items with screens. Just to be safe. He had to sneak looks at the screen just to keep an eye on things. And avoid suspicion of the cops he couldn't bribe. Those he could however.. oh that was easy. He could give them whatever they wanted. If not.. well he'd have to kill a little more. It was no big deal really. Killing cops. To anyone else that would have been a very big deal. But to Yunho, that was no more then necessary.
In the end he was allowed to go. Promising the family sickly sweet and soft that he would pray for Jae and would drop by now and then to support them. And they bought it. Every last bit of it. They still believed him to be the kind man that came into that shop every day to see the younger. If only they knew... This wasn't the first time. Though perhaps very different from the last time. It was still familiar to the man.
In the end Yunho decided not to bother Jaejoong until he was a little more awake. He could monitor the younger and seeing him mostly asleep meant that he must have been really tired. Who could blame him. After having been through so much in only a few hours. Yunho could not pity him though. In his eyes. it was his right to take what he wanted. And he wanted Jaejoong. Hence he had the right to abduct the boy and mark him his property. He had every right in the world...
@๖ۣۜC Yunho What Jaejoong had not expected was to wake up in the comfort of his own bed. He had expected to be in the same hopeless position as earlier, carelessly bound to bed in the basement of a sociopathic man that he had once found to be quite charming. So when he had opened his eyes to the familiar pastel green of his bedding, and a shimmery white canopy lined with fairy lights, he was caught slightly off guard.
He tiredly rubbed his sleep-ridden eyes as he sat up and looked around. Everything was just where it should have been. His desk was just across the way, notebooks and papers strewn across the surface. An open laptop displayed a collection of photos he had taken during the last trip he and his college classmates had taken together. The vanity had been situated on the wall adjacent to it, and was lined with hair and hygenic products, as well as brushes, combs, and various pieces of jewelry. The door to his closet sat just three feet to the left, with a small storage chest in the free space between that and the vanity. On the other wall was his reading nook, covered by a large pastel green curtain, hiding the comfortably constructed area which housed his many books. In the center of the free floor area was a large circular rug, on which was situated a low coffee table and surrounded by small cushions to sit on. A lone photo album always laid on the center of that small table.
Glancing around, he also noticed the smaller features of his room, like the pictures that he hung on the wall above his desk, where his treasured camera was situated, and the massive amounts of fairy lights hanging from the walls and the ceiling. This sure looked like his room. Smelled like it too. Blueberry and apple-cinnamon. His favorite.
Turning to his left, he saw a tray of food had been left on his bedside table, as well as a small message. Curious, he picked up the small piece of paper and began to read:
Jaejoong,
I assume that you have rested well, yes? I was worried, you know. You didn't know where you were, and you kept on hurting yourself. I never wanted that for you, love. I never wanted you to wind up feeling so confused. I never wanted you to injure yourself trying to seek refuge. Do not worry now. You are safe. You are home now, love. Take it easy.
I have left you some breakfast on the bedside table. Make sure you eat and take your pain medicine. Rest a lot today, love. I will make sure supper is ready for you when you wake again.
Love always,
Yunho
Yunho? Now, where on Earth had he heard that name before?
Warily he set the note aside and stared at the tray. He was famished. having not eaten anything the previous night really spiked up his hunger levels. That combined with the throbbing pain in his head caused him to feel rather dizzy, and he almost felt like he was going to collapse there on his bed. He had to eat, if only to regain a bit of his strength.
Jaejoong had only just finished his meal before realizing who had written that note to him. The man from the coffee shop. The one that brought him to this place. But did he really have him chained up? Or was that some figment of his imagination that he had created in his slumber—a brainchild of his unconsciousness that tormented him in his sleep? Everything was in place, exactly as it should have been, yet something just felt so completely off about the whole situation. It was hard to pinpoint exactly what he was feeling, but it was there. Everything was too perfect, too quiet. He would get answers later. He refused to let his suspicions go by unanswered. Yet, for the time being, he reclined in his bed—if it even was his bed at all—and decided to just rest, for his head still ached, and he still felt drowsy, even after such a restorative slumber.
@๖ۣۜV Jaejoong No matter what Jaejoong told him. Yunho wouldn't listen. He would insist on playing this mind game as long as it took to convince the younger that he belonged here. If the mind game didn't work Yunho would have to find other ways to convince Jaejoong that he belonged here, and that he belonged to Yunho. No matter what it would take, Yunho would make sure Jaejoong would eventually start to believe that. Not that it was going to be easy.
Yunho knew from experience that this was going to take a long time. But the man had iron patience if it came to that. He had lots of practice with having to be patient. Of course no one could blame him if sometimes he snapped. Everyone would be out of patience one in a while. But that was a different kind of patience.
Yunho didn't listen when jaejoong told him he couldn't walk away. Unless the younger calmed down there was no way he could continue this conversation. Okay so perhaps if he returned later and the boy would still accuse him of lying he would have to take a different approach. but that was of later concern. Yunho closed off the door to the basement. going up to the attic where he was working on something special. Jaejoong's room. He was almost done with the interior. And it looked exactly like jaejoong's room. Up to the scary details. How did he know about those? Well.. Yunho wasn't a psycho for nothing, he did his homework. And that included breaking into his victim's home. On more then one occasion, when he was sure he wouldn't get caught, Yunho worked himself into Jaejoong's house and he would spend hours memorizing the room, taking pictures of things he needed to remember. Even the scent was almost the same. With one little difference. The view from the window. Which was barred like a cage, but skilfully hidden by the curtains. And behind the normal looking door on the inside, there was a painted steel door on the outside, which looked like a normal door. but it was a special security door. With the kind of lock that required a code only yunho knew. When punching in the code, the key pad made no beeping noise so no one could listen in on his code either.
While he was working on finishing the room. he pulled up his phone and typed in a code which gave him access to an app that was connected to the camera system in his house. All the hidden camera's could be seen on the screen. He tapped on the one that captured the image of jaejoong and enlarged it.
The younger didn't understand, it had hurt him too, having to do this to him. But he simply shouldn't have rejected yunho. It forced him to act to make sure he wouldn't lose his precious doll.
Yunho waited until the younger was deeply asleep. He went down again, softly as he could freeing the younger from the cuff. Binding his wrist. Just to make sure jae wouldn't wake up, yunho drugged him. It would make him sleep normally though. When he woke up he wouldn't even know he had been drugged. Yunho made sure the wound was clean and it wouldn't get infected. With care he scooped the boy up in his arms. The room in the attic was ready. He carried the boy up and laid him on the bed. He went down to the kitchen to make him breakfast because when he would wake up, it would be morning. And then he placed it on the nightstand in jae's room. He shut the door silently and then shut the security door. Yunho needed to get some sleep as well. Tomorrow he'd have to go back to the cafe again otherwise it would seem suspicious. Fortunately he had a corrupt friend in the police department and he had the camera system of his house on his phone. He could keep an eye on things here when he was away. In jae's room he had also placed hidden cameras and bugs on secret places to keep tabs on what the younger was doing. Of course.. he needed to make this his business. It would only be a matter of time for Jaejoong to realize the gravity of yunho's obsession with him.
@๖ۣۜC Yunho "The only reason I am here is because you brought me here against my will," Jaejoong said defiantly, scoffing when the man still insisted that he had always been home. "I do not know what I have done to ever be locked away in a cage like some common dog, you filthy bastard. If I was truly home, I would have never been treated like this." He tugged at the one remaining cuff on his hand that restrained him from moving far to make his point. He knew his home better than anyone. It was not large, it was not scary, it was not lined with cages as far as his eye could see, and it was not so dark. His home was small, light and happy. His mother was always in the kitchen, and his sister was always pestering him to play or take pictures to put in the family photo album. The lack of Hana's sweet, cheerful voice and his mother's constant singing in the kitchen were indicators enough that he was not anywhere near home.
"'My home is with you.' Oh, please! And I'm a pink unicorn with fairy wings. I am not confused about anything. You took me from my home, from my mother and my sister!" He tried to lunge at the man, but was held back my the cuffs that had restrained him.The metal dug into his flesh almost painfully, but he didn't care. He wanted out, and he wanted out now. "I will not calm down until you tell me what the hell is going on here— Hey! You can't just walk away from me!"
Jaejoong was appalled. The man just up and left him. Jaejoong couldn't believe that he truly had the audacity to bring him to this place, lie to him, and then walk away like it was nothing. He hoped the bastard wouldn't get away with this. Surely his mother and sisters had called the authorities already. Someone had to be out there searching for him. He just knew that someone cared enough. Jaejoong refused to be locked away from the world like this. He had a family, had friends, had an education and a dream career all set ahead for himself, but he couldn't achieve any of that by being locked in this place. He refused to fall for these sick little games the man was trying to play. If he could get out of those restraints, maybe he'd have a fighting chance.
He did everything from pulling at the cuffs themselves to finding something to pick the lock. He tried for hours until he had no more energy to do so. His wrist bled, but he didn't care at that point. All he wanted was to go to sleep and wake up from this terrible dream, wake up in his own bed, in his own house. He wanted to see his family again, see their smiling faces and hear their laughter. He just wanted to go home.
@๖ۣۜV Jaejoong The younger panicked and reduced to using curse words. Understandable -sort of- but hurtful none the less. And his panicked state didn't fit into yunho's fantasy at all. Of course he knew it would take time to get the boy right where he wanted him. It would take some time and some nudging here and there to get him into the position yunho wanted him to be in. But all with good patience and cunning little mind games, he'd get there. "I am hurt jaejoong. Really hurt. The only reason you are here is because you got hurt and apparently suffer more then just an injury. I cannot trust you to go up to your room and just be fine. And i can't untie you unless you calm down. I don't want you to be hurt." Yunho sighed at the mess the younger created. He'll have to make some food again. Eventually, jaejoong would have no choice but to just eat and drink if he didn't want to starve. but knowing how violent he was reacting to this situation the younger might consider starvation as an option. Yunho would have to monitor him carefully. Thankfully there was a hidden camera in the upper corner. Yunho wasn't an idiot. After some incidents with his last victims he learned from his mistakes and kept a watchful eye even if he wasn't in the room.
"Your home is with me. Your room is upstairs. Just the way you left it. Why can't you remember? well... It's useless to get you to try and remember now. You're obviously still in shock. I'll be back later to bring you some new food. For now i think it is best you stay here and try to calm yourself." He stood up with the messy tray. "It hurts me that you would think that i would drug you. I could never do that to you. You're the most precious thing in the world. Now settle yourself and try to calm down. I'll bring you something later." With that he walked out of the room. Leaving jaejoong there, tied up with one hand. Alone, to calm down from his rage fit. Possibly sleep a little more if he was exhausted enough to be knocked unconscious. Yunho had work to do still.
these past months weren't just about stalking the younger in the cafe. It was most important that he learned a bit about the younger's habits. And of course, soon Yunho had found out where he lived. It would take a very keen eye to see a man standing in the shadows outside of the window for six nights in a row every week. And the one night he wasn't there.. well, that was just because Yunho had things to do to prepare for whatever he was going to do next. When the family was out he had snuck into the property several times. Clever as he was he made sure nothing was touched and that it didn't seem like someone had broken in. He was especially interested in jaejoong's room and had photographed the whole room. every detail was captured. Leaving Yunho with the ability to start on duplicating the exact same room in his own house. He fixed up every little detail. The times he had used to sneak into jaejoong's room were used to thoroughly investigate the details that couldn't be seen by the eye. What clothes were in the closet and where, what was under the bed, in the drawers, how did it smell? yes.. if you wanted to fake a home, it had to smell the same.
And yunho as the sick bastard he was tried everything in his power to confuse the younger so much that it seemed he was in his own room. That even the scent would be the same. After a long time of preparation, he was nearly done with the interior of the room he copied. He had all the same clothes in the closet, the same items in every drawer, the same things under the bed. The problem was probably only the scent of the clothing. they were all new. But that would go away over time and if that were the only thing out of place it wouldn't be too obvious that this wasn't really Jaejoong's room, but a mere copy of it.
He even managed to make it smell the same as jaejoong's room. With a little help of some perfume he mixed in the paint he used to paint the room. It made it smell the same. It was a tough job to get the right scent and how to make it stay in the room but being resourceful, yunho found a way. he always did.
@๖ۣۜC Yunho "I am not confused, you demented son of a ! Let me go!" Jaejoong retorted furiously, once again trying to break himself free. After spending a few more minutes of struggling for his freedom, he gave up for the time being, too physically drained to even care. But that did not mean he wouldn't try to leave again. Jaejoong was certain that he was correct in his argument and that his home was, indeed, not here. Whatever sick mind games this man was trying to play were not going to work on him. He remembered clearly his own home, and his family, and what he had promised to them so long ago. With a promise like that, surely they wouldn't have just let him leave. Or, if they had, they would have talked it over with him first. There was no prior consent and he just knew it.
With one hand free, Jaejoong was able to haul himself up into a sitting position. The incessant pounding in the back of his head refused to cease, and he found himself feeling dizzy by his impulsive gesture. He visibly winced, and with his free hand reached up to massage his temple. God, he felt miserable. Probably looked it as well. Whatever happened took a toll on his energy, and he was utterly drained. He wanted to go home to his mother and sisters, curl up beside Hana and read her a bedtime story, and then sleep beside her himself. He missed that already. At least once a week he and Hana would retreat to his room for a night of games and stories, and then they would sleep. Jaejoong always let her hog the covers, while he himself slept atop them, curled around his precious sister's little body protectively. But now that he was here, in this unknown place, chained to a bed by one of the individuals he thought he actually /trusted/, there was no more affection. There were no more games or stories. There were no more moments of that precious bonding time he cherished so much.
Jaejoong ignored the man's presence, even as he entered the room with a tray of food. he refused to eat, despite his stomach telling him otherwise. He couldn't trust this man. Narrowing his eyes at the tray before him, he reached out and shoved it away, then curled back into himself. "Why should I listen to anything you say?" he spat. "For all I know, you could have implanted drugs in that food. I refuse to eat anything that hasn't been made in plain sight. Now just let me out of here! I want to go home!"
@๖ۣۜV Jaejoong Yunho tilted his head as he watched the younger struggle against his restraints. Perhaps he should have used rope? But then again rope burns were worse then metal digging in your skin. He had plenty of experience with that. Sighing Yunho dodged the kick flung to him. "Clearly you're confused. And i understand that love. But you must understand, you ARE home. Home is with me. Your family knows that too. Did all those weeks here mean nothing to you? why can't you remember?"
Yunho stood up undoing one cuff only. "Clearly i can't trust you enough yet to let you go completely. you could hurt yourself. I'll fetch you something to eat, drink and something for the pain. Perhaps i can reason with you when you have calmed down. It pains me to do this to you love. But in this state... You don't even recognize your home. it hurts me jaejoong. But then again.. i always knew you were fragile."
Yunho walked outside of the cage surrounding the bed and closed it. He locked it with a padlock and then walked out of the remainder of the room. Closing the door behind him. He went upstairs to the kitchen. humming softly while fixing up a sandwich and a glass of milk, a glass of water and two painkillers. Setting it on a plate. It was late, but the rush of events was sure to keep yunho up tonight. He wouldn't be able to sleep. he just knew it.
He took the tray down to where jaejoong resided. There was a bedside table fixed to the wall next to the bed. also fixed to the wall. He could put the tray there. The glasses were of plastic, so was the plate. he knew you couldn't cut cuffs but he didn't want to take any risks with anything. The tray was made of wood without sharp edges. He made sure of that. After all, he didn't want the precious doll to hurt himself.
"I brought you something for the pain. And you should eat. An empty stomach combined with pain could cause nausea."
he said while he set it down and he himself took place on the end of the bed. with one free hand, jaejoong could take it.
@๖ۣۜC Yunho "No, no! Get away from me! Get away!" bellowed Jaejoong, attempting to wrench himself away from the hands that neared him. His stomach lurched as that sickeningly sweet voice entered his ears, and he suddenly felt extremely nauseous. No, this was not his home. Jaejoong knew his own home better than anyone. The colors, the scents, the sounds, all of it. None of this was home. The brightly colored walls and posters that he was used to here more of a dingy white, kind of like a simple drywall. The bed he was in lacked the thick comforters he always slept under, and was not his typical sleigh bed. This room didn't smell like fresh blueberry and apple-cinnamon muffins like his home always did. There were no shelves lined with his and his sister's plushie collection, no bookcases, no wall paintings, no portraits of his family, no camera tripod, no vanity, nothing. This was not home. The dank atmosphere only spelled out prison for the young man, and all he wanted was to go home. He did not care, now, whether the metal of the cuffs began to dig into his skin. All he wanted was to get out and go back to the place he could call his home.
"Let me out!" he demanded again. "I don't live here. I've never lived here! What kind of sick games are you trying to play?" His throat was scratchy and dry from the lack of water he had had for God knows how long, and it visibly pained him. He winced almost every time he spoke, forcing out his protests as best he could. "I know my home better than anyone! My family would never treat me like this! They wouldn't! Where is my mother? And my sisters? Why did you bring me here?"
His foot shot out in an attempt to kick the individual away in a frenzy of terror. His vision had finally cleared up, and soon, he began to recognize a face attached to that shadow of a body, followed by a body, and soon, a scent that he could pin to only one individual. The same individual that always came into his family cafe and sat in the same spot every single day. He ordered the same drink every time, and came only for him.
Oh, God...
"Get away from me!"
@๖ۣۜV Jaejoong Yunho soon found that the doll he brought home started to wake. Jaejoong started moving around trying to get away from the pain. Yunho couldn't blame him for trying to aboid pain but the reason he got it was entirely his fault. He should have just listened. Then again this pain was punishment enough for his disobedience for now. It appeared that it took a few seconds for the younger to realize where he was and what was happening. But there was no way yunho was going to confirm it.
"shh shhh. Be still love. You bumped your head. There's a nasty bruise on there." He shushed him right before the younger in his state of panic tried to scream for help. Predictable. They all screamed for help at first. No that it helped them. But it seemed to be a natural reaction. "hey easy, you're only going to hurt yourself more. That's why I had to bind you. you'd hurt yourself more. Always so clumsy. You bumped your head. don't you remember?" Yunho smiled at him but he acted like he was hurt by the fact that jaejoong didn't 'remember' what 'really' happened.
"but you are home. don't you recognize your home anymore? You live with me. You must have really hit your head hard. poor baby." Yunho tried to shush him and reach out to 'comfort' jaejoong. Expecting to get kicked or bitten since the younger couldn't exactly use his hands.
"you must be confused. If you calm down. I'll let you out of your cuffs. But I don't want you to hurt yourself." He said. "it hurt me you know. To have you so confused. Jaejoong you've lived here with me for months now. Why can't you remember?"
@๖ۣۜC Yunho A stinging sensation, something similar to lemon juice being crudely ground into an open wound, sang across Jaejoong's senses like fire, drawing him from an exhausted slumber.
Stumbling over a semiconscious groan, he shifted, eyelids struggling against the cotton webs of sleep weighing them down. Pain drove through his body again like a burning brand, and with a gasp he jolted, tumbling fully awake. In the brightly lit area, a stark contrast to the alley he had been in some time ago, the boy lurched backward, doing anything in his power to draw away from the cause of his discomfort and frowned as his muddled mind slowly began to take in the situation.
The dank ever-present shadows of the alley had been chased back by a small lamp that hung currently hung above him about a good seven feet. Someone he, at first, did not recognize sat kneeling in the halo of lamp light, staring at him almost wickedly with a bottle emitting a rather pungent odor, and it took Jaejoong a moment to piece the puzzle together before he realize that this large, blurry form of a man with dark, piercing eyes was the immediate cause of the pain assaulting his head.
Without hesitation he tried to move away. But, to no avail. He was cuffed, bound to the bed by metal obstructions that now dug painfully into his wrists, and that was more than enough to throw his delirious mind into a state of panic. He did not even pause to take in the still blurry form of the individual in front of him; he wanted to leave. He had heard the stories of the surviving victims, listened to their tales of how they were bound, tortured, and starved, how their captors refused to let them see their family or have human contact at all. Jaejoong /knew/ he was in danger, despite being half conscious, and as such, he struggled violently against his restraints, using what little strength was at his disposal, kicking and yelling and demanding to let go.
He was angry; he was confused; he was afraid. He didn't want to be here, wherever /here/ was. He wanted to leave, go back to the cafe, back to Hana and Mother and HwaSoo. He wanted to go back to the happy little children, and the smiling parents. He wanted to go home.
"Let me out of here!" he demanded, stumbling over a parched throat. "I want to go home! Let me go!" Pulling as hard as he could against the cool metal that restrained him, Jaejoong continued to cry out in blinded terror, not even paying half a mind to where he was or who was with him. His mind was set on only one thing, and that was to get the hell out of there. He felt the evil vibe immediately when he had woken up, and it was only getting stronger, to the point where he'd broken into hysterics and began to call for his mother, his older sister, his friends, /anyone/ in hopes that they could hear him.
@๖ۣۜV Jaejoong Yunho gripped at the steering wheel until his knuckles turned white. This wasn't at all what he had planned at first. He wanted to gradually make his moves and palm Jaejoong in undetected. Now he had to deal with a missing person case and convince that little brat of a girl that Jaejoong never showed. But how would he explain his own quick disappearance? Impatience? Difficult it was.
And not to mention if the police got involved he'd have to get his own man on the case so he could practice his influence on the result. oh yes. Some cops were easily bribed. And Yunho knew just which ones were bad enough to let him control whatever they were doing on the job. You just had to find their weakness and act upon it and they melted like butter, bending to his every command, executing his every will.
Even though he had a way out and a solution to every problem that would occur, it still bothered him that all his plans had to be changed and adjusted. Just because of a ing little girl. Oh well, a little adjustment wouldn't hurt him. If he always got what he wanted without having to work for it he would get lazy. Yunho relaxed a bit more and loosened his grip on the steering wheel a little. His knuckles turned back to their normal color.
A smirk arose when he thought about the horror the little brat must go through after the disappearance of her big brother. Well like it or not, Jaejoong was his. He just rightfully took what belonged to him. Yunho drove to the edge of the city where there were large villa's and mansions scattered around wider property so the neighbors wouldn't bother the residents of those houses. One of the perks of living on the edge of the city. It was more quiet. And you could scream as hard as you wanted and no one would even hear you. Another perk Yunho found quite useful.
He pulled into the driveway of his own little villa and stopped the car in the garage. Looking around he closed the garage door first before he popped the hood of the trunk and gazed at a semi unconscious Jaejoong. The blow was wearing off slowly. He'd have to hurry. Fortunately Yunho was somewhat more of a tech person nowadays. Every window was protected by lock and alarm, as well as every door leading outside. Which came in handy for the times he didn't lock up his beloved doll. Though he feared he'd have to start off with many days behind bars before his doll would come to terms with his new living conditions.
Yunho scooped the smaller framed body from the trunk and closed the lid. He carried Jaejoong inside and downwards to the basement. Picking the room that had the round bed with the red cage bars around it. This would do for now. He put the younger down. Restraining him by cuffing his hands to a solid iron bar attached to the wall just above the head of the bed. To prevent him from hysterically moving around and hurting himself more when he would wake up.
Yunho took a med kit to take care of the wound he had caused by slamming the bottle down on jaejoong's head. It wasn't as bad as it would have been without a beanie covering his head. but it was still somewhat bruised and painful looking. Another thing he never wanted to do again: scar his perfect doll. Not there anyway. Of course he had to scar the younger a little just to make sure that he was properly marked. His property would be well recognizable for him.
While Yunho worked on the wound he waited for the younger to slowly regain his consciousness. He was quite certain he would receive some form of anger. Perhaps panic or tears, it was a guess with every victim he brought down here. It just never concerned him as much as it did now. Because this was his prized possession. His crown jewel. The cherry on top. The best of the best he had ever captured. And he'd make quick work of it to get inside jaejoong's mind and start breaking him down piece by piece, so he could build him up and reform him to his own standards. A perfect model, a perfect doll, constructed the way he wanted it.
@๖ۣۜC Yunho ((If it's choppy and blech, forgive me. I was half asleep and trying to scrape up some muse to write this))
Yunho's words cut through him like a knife. It seemed as though the other did not at all understand the direction in which Jaejoong had been coming from, nor did he seem to realize that his decision was not solely a reason to get rid of him, nor a way to tell the latter that he didn't want him in his life in any way. Rather, it was his own worries and concerns for his family, his worries with school, and the simple fact that he just was /not/ ready to start a relationship, that hindered him from actually taking the time to at least consider the man's offer. Yunho wasn't a terrible person. Not at all. It was simply the way that he took the rejection that, believe it or not, seemed to hurt Jaejoong.
Yes, being in a budding relationship did require commitment to some extent, and Jaejoong himself solely swore that any relationship of his was exclusive to only him and the person he chose as his significant other. Yunho did not understand that and only spoke nonsense, used his words to guilt trip him into possibly changing his mind, and even had the nerve to speak as if he knew his family. Their dependency was nothing to be sniffed at. His claims were completely inaccurate, and that, in fact, really upset the young college student.
Hana was dependent on him, that much was true. But what Yunho didn't understand was that she was still young and had to be eased into that realm of independence and growth one step at a time. For now, it was okay for her to look up to him for guidance and advice. She was allowed to beg for his attention, like any normal sister would do. She was supposed to depend on her family and get on their nerves. It was part of growing up. She was eased into doing simple chores and learning to clean up after herself wherever she went. In fact, Hana was very sophisticated and organized for a girl so small, but she still loved her family more than anything, and as such, she begged for their attention simply because she wanted to spend time with them.
Sunmi, their mother, was of a different realm. With her declining health, it had become hard for her to really do much of anything around the house. Her constant visits to the doctor have made her weary, and Jaejoong, being the good son he was, had to help her. The departure of their father had been part of the steady, but now exponentially growing, battle for her health. Jaejoong owed a lot to his mother for all that she had done for him, and he wanted to help her as much as he wanted to help Hana or his married sister. Being there for his family was not an obligation to Jaejoong. He chose to stay with them out of his own free will. They held him back from nothing. He was still free as ever, and the choices he made were a reflection of that, even if others could not see it.
He had turned away, almost eager to head home after such a long day and stressful encounter, vaguely aware of the danger he was in. His had barely touched the doorknob before a sharp pain shot up to his head, and before he knew it, there was nothing.
Hana had gone back to the cafe. Nearly ten minutes had passed, and Jaejoong had not come out. Mother and Big Sister were concerned, and so was she. Jaejoong was never late. Never. So what was it that had kept him this time? Maybe that man was discussing something important with him? Or perhaps...something happened? Though she doubted the latter option, it was a possibility.
She burst through the front door of the cafe, calling out for her brother, saying that it was time to go. When she got no answer, she pouted.
"Big Brother?" she called again, making her way into the kitchen and to the small loung in the back of the building, still finding no trace of Jaejoong. She checked the manager's office, the great area, and even the little hallway filled with all the pretty artwork that her brother hung there. He was nowhere to be found.
And then she remembered earlier, how the man wanted to speak with him out back. Of course! He was still outside! Excitedly she ran to the back door and flung it open with a joyous shout of Jaejoong's name, only to be met with a dark, empty alleyway, and she stopped dead in her track.
"B-Big Brother...?"
Jaejoong was nowhere to be found.
@๖ۣۜV Jaejoong Yunho was already agitated by the fact that the younger so quickly wanted to leave his side. Was he really that horrible to be around? with all he had to offer? Tsk. When was he finally going to get the respect he deserved. Or some understanding? And then the ever lasting affection for his little sister. It made Yunho boil. The little brat could wait. Yunho could not.
"I've seen how your little sister is. Cheerful, sweet. I know she holds you to your word." He tried to make it sound as if he had no deep hatred for the brat. but the truth was he couldn't stand the kind of affection jaejoong carried for her. It was too much. Yunho wanted him to love him the most. not her. A necessity would be having her on the side to keep him happy. Yunho wasn't fond of the idea but it was a shadow he could hold over jaejoong's head.
"Indeed you two are very close. I would not want to come between you two. I already feel guilty for claiming your attention in the café. But under working circumstances I thought she would bare it better. She is very dependent on you."
Yunho tried to put on the act as good as he could. But he hated the very words coming from his mouth. And with each one of them spoke his despise towards the little brat became stronger. Yet his hands were forced to refrain from harming her or taking her life to rid himself of the problem. Because he knew that if he would do that he would lose the only thing he cared about. And he would not want jaejoong to attempt at his own life because he lost his precious little angel that was a thorn in yunho's eye. The conflict of it was horrible.
Yunho sighed when the younger told him straight up no on his proposal. He didn't even consider! Yunho was already prepared to adjust himself to jaejoong's wishes and yet he still refused. He didn't even need time to come to that conclusion. Yunho was already boiling. but that made him snap inside. This kid was not taking him seriously. Jung Yunho always gets what he wants. With or without consent. Yunho's eyes grew as dark as the alley was. He hadn't planned for it to go this way. But he couldn't control himself. There were people waiting for the younger, and they would come looking. Especially the little brat. But Yunho could not control himself. He needed to have a yes or force one on the situation or simply take what he wanted. Again he wished he could do this differently. But he didn't stick to his plan.
"no... Your answer is no.. I did not ask about commitment did I? When have I ever said the word? And exclusive? you speak words I never even said. I could adjust myself to you and I would respect all your wishes. please do not refuse me. I can do whatever you desire. Even if I cannot see you for a long period of time because your schedule wouldn't allow it. I am a patient man, so long as the door doesn't slam in my face that is."
Yunho tried to remain calm. but his disappointment and determinacy started spilling through his words and dripping from his voice. He tried so hard not to get angry. but didn't jaejoong understand the importance of this?
"Your family depends on you more then they should. they are holding you down. you don't blossom as long as you are under the weight of their welfare. And Hana? how is she going to learn to be a strong young woman when she keeps depending on you? she has two of her own legs to stand on. The younger they learn the stronger they will get. You trade too much affection with her. soon she will not be able to live without you. Tell me she's not one of those kids that tell themselves they will marry their closest family member later. Though they are never serious the thought alone could be concerning." Yunho wanted to kick something. but he stopped himself from doing so. It would only scare the younger.
"If it were anything else that made you refuse me, like my age or anything like that it would be easier to bare. Why.. why did you do this to me? My heart breaks jaejoong. Really. you've hurt me deeply." Yunho sighs and pinched the bridge of his nose. Trying to regain some composure. "Go then. I need time to get over his kind of heartache. please just go."
Yunho stated as if he wanted the younger to leave. But on impulse, when the younger turned around to go back inside, he grabbed an empty bottle sticking out from the dumpster. And before jaejoong could step inside he let it come down on the back of the younger's head full force. It shattered on impact and the glass spilled everywhere Yunho thanked heavens he was wearing gloves so he wouldn't leave any prints. but it hurt him deep. Not physically. but it hurt him that he had to take such drastic measures and hurt the younger as well. He caught jaejoong's body before it could slump to the floor. Even though he hit on the beanie, it didn't protect the younger from the blow as much as one would expect. His head was bleeding. Yunho cursed in himself and dragged the lifeless body to the end of the alley. His car was parked just in front.
@๖ۣۜV Jaejoong Yunho looked to see if anyone was around but it was dark and the nearest street light was too far away to light up the car well enough. Yunho scooped up the body in his arms and opened up the trunk. He dropped the bottle in the alley somewhere before he carried jaejoong here. Carefully he laid the body down in the trunk and closed the lid as soft as he could to make sure nothing was stuck between it. ... now what? Any minute Hana would come looking for her brother. Would he stay and feed her lies to explain the situation? Or would he just drive off? He pondered for a moment. But surely before the brat even came looking, he stepped into the vehicle and drove off. His trophy in the trunk and a twisted feeling in his gut. He got what he wanted. but this left a lot of mess to clean up and he had to create an alibi in case the cops would come whining about his little 'date' with the younger out back. "look what you made me do" Yunho mumbled more to himself then to the unconscious body in the trunk.
@๖ۣۜC Yunho Jaejoong, dreading the cold more and more as the seconds ticked by, eyed Yunho imperiously, wanting the man to get on with whatever it was that he wanted to say. He had promised his sister five minutes, and if he was kept longer, she would come hollering for him and saying that Mama Kim wanted to go back home. That was just how Hana was—always sticking to the spoken word rather than taking, perhaps, a subtle hint. But Jaejoong did promise five minute after all, and he was someone that never went back on his promises.
When Yunho apologized to him about his choice in destination, Jaejoong shook his head with a feeble smile. "It's quite alright," he responded. "I understand why you would seem a bit frustrated, especially if this was something you'd been thinking of for a while. But you seem to know my sister, and you know how she is. She looks up to me a lot because I've been taking care of her for the majority of her life, and she looks to me for protection and guidance. It may have come off as clingy, but it really isn't. She's young, still learning about life and trying to figure herself out, and I'm just a support for her, someone to help her when she needs it. I'm just glad you've been so patient and kind with her. Hana is everything to me, and when someone else makes her happy and treats her with kindness, I become happy as well, so thank you for that, even if you didn't mean it by chance."
Truth be told, he had seen Yunho come so often into the cafe, and only rarely had he ever interacted with Hana. But on those occasions he did, Jaejoong saw nothing other than benevolence being sent her way. It warmed his heart to see her treated so gently. She was still so meager. One wrong move and she could have broken. Jaejoong was very protective of her, and there had been several occasions where he's lashed out at individuals that ever dared to harm his little angel. He had never become so angry at someone just for saying the wrong thing to her and making her cry. His fury doubled when said someone made the mistake of laying a finger on her delicate body. He was vicious, but only for his little princess waiting in the car.
Jaejoong had a feeling that he knew where this conversation was headed once the man went on about why he actually visited the cafe so often. He had had this conversation with several other patrons on different occasions, and all of them had turned out the same. Every single one of those men and women had been amazing people, that was for certain, but for Jaejoong, it just wouldn't work. He had his priorities then, and he has them now—different, perhaps, but priorities nonetheless—and it always made him feel guilty when he had to deny someone for whatever reason he had. But they were truthful, sensible, honest reasons. One could not blame him.
Glancing up at Yunho, with a hint of uncertainty, he sighed and shook his head. "That won't be needed, Yunho-ssi, because my answer is...no," he murmured. The air suddenly became thick, and Jaejoong felt intimidated by the sudden aura of dominance and strength this man emanated. But that wasn't enough to faze him. "Please understand," he continued, trying to salvage the situation before it had the chance to go bad, "that it is not because I do not like you. You are a very charming guy and I believe that anyone would be lucky to be with you, but I just...I cannot find myself in that kind of commitment right now. In fact, I don't want to be exclusive with anyone at all. My family needs me more than anything, Yunho-ssi. My mother...her health has been declining as of late, and since my older sister does not stay often with us, as she has a husband, it is my responsibility to take care of her and make sure that she is safe." He took a slight step forward, just so he could see Yunho better and fully confront him about what it was that truly kept him from accepting this request. "There's also Hana. Since Mother cannot do much, I have to take responsibility for her. And then I have my schooling keeping me on my toes even after all of that. So please understand that it is not because of you. You're really nice, and in any other circumstance I probably would have said sure, but I can't. My busy schedule and the dire need to protect my family are more important than that. That does not mean we can't be friends, though, okay?"
Jaejoong smiled weakly at Yunho. He hated rejecting people and making them feel bad, but there were more important things for him to worry about. "I'm sorry," he said again, just to apologize yet again, even though he probably would have for the next hundred years. "I'll...I'll see you around, I suppose. It was nice speaking with you, Yunho-ssi, but I have to get going now. Hana will be coming for me any moment." And with that, he turned and began making his way back to the door to head back inside the cafe.
@๖ۣۜV Jaejoong Yunho paced up and down a little in the dark alley while he waited. Honestly the waiting wasn't what bothered him. It was his initial plan that now doomed to fail because the boy he wanted for himself was expected to ride home with them. If he wouldn't show it would seem suspicious. Especially since the little brat knew that yunho had asked his doll to talk to him out back. Things were initially more complicated then Yunho had them in mind. either he had to do this some other time or he had to make sure that he got an alibi. So that when they would go to the police because their precious doll was missing, he'd have an excuse to deem himself innocent. Very tricky indeed. But he pondered over it while he waited because he did have little patience to make this beauty his.
When finally his doll showed up, dressed up warmly against the cold night air it was so cute.. yunho decided he would not wait. He had to think of an alibi. Or create one. that was.. if his doll didn't agree to be his. Yunho stepped a little closer so he could see the younger better in the dark. "Sorry that i asked you to meet me out here and not at the front. The stench is one less pleasant thing to experience. but i really needed to talk to you alone. I hardly see you without your little sister around. She's really fond of you isn't she?" He asked. pretending that he was all that interested in jaejoong's family relationships. In fact, he was not. He was only interested in his own relationship with the younger. whatever one that may turn out to be.
"I didn't mind the wait. I know your family is waiting for you so i won't beat around the bush. As you may have noticed i come around here often. as often as you work. It's because i really like seeing you." Yunho hated it that the younger pressured him so to get straight to the point and hurry up. If he had the time he could use sweet words and totally palm the younger and drive him into the spot he wanted him in just with words. But now yunho had no time for tricks and had to put his desires out straight forward for the boy. It agitated him. but he didn't show it.
"I was just wondering if.. maybe you would let me see you some time? outside of work? To go for a stroll maybe or a cup of coffee some place you aren't working at? what i mean to say is if you'd like to go out with me some time. If it fits in your schedule that is. I get it if you're busy."
Now it was just waiting for the answer. Yunho was tense. He could take a certain kind of rejection if it was only because the younger was busy or didn't have time, but if he chose family over yunho, or rejected yunho for any different reason, yunho couldn't predict how he would react. He was possessive after all. he wanted jaejoong. and when he wanted something he wouldn't simply back off. and he didn't take rejection well at all.
"Perhaps if you need to think about it i could come back another time for the answer" he offered. That way the younger didn't have to reject him right away, and yunho could prepare some more. But something told him he wouldn't get that chance.
@๖ۣۜC Yunho Not long after packing his and his sister's belongings, Jaejoong heard their mother announce that it was time to close shop and clean up before they went home. He set his bag off to the side and went out into the great area to scrub down the tables and chairs whilst Hwasoo mopped the floors. Hana helped arrange the tables for the following day and then went to help Mama Kim finish the dishes. Jaejoong arranged tomorrow's sweets selection in the glass showcases, and Hwasoo counted all the money in the register. Hana teetered over to help her brother, and Mama Kim went out to start the car, Hwasoo following not so far behind, telling Jaejoong and Hana to hurry it up or they'd leave them behind, which in turn had Jaejoong poke out his tongue at her.
"Don't rush me, Noona. You know how I am when it comes to making sure everything looks perfect for the customers," he retorted playfully, as he effortlessly lifted Hana off the ground and took her back into the kitchen, where he set her on the ground and helped her get ready to leave, assisting in putting on her jacket and making sure she had her hat and mittens to stave off the cold. He placed her backpack on her back and smiled at her. "Go out to the car now. I'll be out in five minutes, okay?"
"You're talking to that man, right?" Hana asked out of curiosity. She had been there when the plans had been made, but she wanted to make sure.
"I am, but it won't take long. I promise I'll be back out in five minutes. Then we'll go home and I'll help you with your project." He smiled and kissed his little sister's forehead. "And if I'm not out in five minutes, just come and get me, and I will gladly take whatever punishment you see fit."
"You're baking macarons for my whole school if you don't come back out," Hana said proudly, to which Jaejoong restrained a laugh.
"The entire school? Oh my, I'll have to make sure I come back then." Jaejoong poked his tongue out at his sister and patted her bum as she walked by. "Go out to the car now. I'll meet the three of you out there soon."
"Okay," she beamed, skipping merrily out of the store.
Jaejoong watched from inside to make sure she had gotten to the car safely, before he turned and got ready to leave himself. He slipped into his jacket, put a white beanie over his head, and grabbed his bag before heading towards the back door. The man had said to meet him out there, so hopefully it wasn't some cruel joke. It was freezing outside and he didn't want to be stranded alone in a dark alley.
Carefully he pushed the door open, taken aback by the sudden blast of cold air that hit his face. He visibly shivered as he stepped out into the alley, glancing up confusedly at the light-bulb that had been working just yesterday. Burnt out, he figured. He could replace it tomorrow before their shift began. It wasn't that big of a deal. However, what bothered him was the godawful stench that came from the dumpster and under the sewage plate. Automatically he brought up a hand and covered his nose, using the other to close the door behind him, as he looked around for the man from the cafe, spotting him just a few feet away. God, was it dark. He really needed to fix that light-bulb before tomorrow's night shift.
"Sorry it took so long," he murmured into the dark void. He really wished he had some light right about now. Something didn't feel right. "Mother had us clean the cafe and get everything organized for tomorrow, and I had to get my sister ready to leave." And that was the truth. Even the mention of his precious sister made him smile a bit. "Anyway, there was something you wanted to ask me? I really need to get back home. I promised Hana and I have class tomorrow morning... Not that I want to drive you away or anything! I just...my schedule... I still have things to do..."
@๖ۣۜV Jaejoong At first when the days passed that Yunho came in, he would have despised the little girl hopping after his target. But the more he looked at her, the more of her big brother she actually saw in her. She also looked like a doll. A little doll. Though nearly not as perfect as jaejoong. She was too young and too fragile. But good enough to treat like a little princess and dress up for show. His perfect little doll family. He'd adopt her as a daughter if he had any more liking for kids. But she was not his first concern. She was in the way of what he wanted. Though he did not take kindly to that, her appearance and the way she made her older brother smile made up for it. Yunho liked seeing his doll smile, and the little one managed to let that happen on more then one occasion. Though she was still a thorn in his eye he learned to deal with it. Surely he was capable of anything but having learned from his past experiences he knew that sometimes control was better then madness, even though there was no way he would get rid of his insanity. it was all he had. However sometimes he was able to control part of it and other times he just broke. It was his way of life. Mostly when he got what he wanted he wouldn't break, it was when he didn't get something you should be worried about his rage and his psychotic episodes.
Well for his doll he would pretend he liked the little brat. A little effort wouldn't hurt. yet.. Yunho smiled at the little girl while she hid partly behind her perfect brother. surely had anyone paid enough attention they would find microscopic evidence that yunho didn't mean that smile and that he wanted to glare with such force it would drill holes in her skull mentally. But he had that layered with so many perfected masks that it wasn't noticeable. The way she clung to him was just too much. Mine, yunho thought. all mine. He did not care for her tiny hands grabbing onto his property like that.
He heard the recommendation was something that wasn't sold here and specially made by his doll. well wasn't that just perfect? his smile widened a little. "Sounds very tempting. I would indeed be delighted to try. I'm honored." Then he eyed Hana who said he had to try and that it was delicious and sweet. "Aigoo, aren't you a little young for coffee? But, i'll take your word for it. It must be really special. Do i have your permission to try it then?.. Hana is it?"
He asked. Trying to act as nice as he could so he could win her over. if he won her over then it was so much easier to melt jaejoong and get him to like him more. Yunho always had a few of such tricks up his sleeve.
Yunho smiled and nodded when Jaejoong took over the conversation again. "It's quite alright. I have plenty of time."
"It'll only take a while. I promise i won't steal your brother for too long Hana. just a few minutes. Is that okay?" He smiled at them both before they both disappeared tot he kitchen again.
His smile fell as soon as they were out of sight. He didn't like that Hana. He liked her appearance, and the fact that she had trades of jaejoong in her features. but other then that he disliked her character, her presence and her clinginess. Unfortunately he just knew he had to deal with it. It was much easier the time when he had his precious Puella. That's what he called his previous victim. Puella was latin for sweetheart. Not that he meant any of it. He didn't love the guy. But he made him think he did. and that he needed love back. it was easier because his Puella had no sliblings like that. on the other hand, jaejoong was worth a little more trouble and challenge. because he did have feelings for Jaejoong. no matter how dark they may be. he never had them for Puella.
After jaejoong came back with the special coffee, Yunho paid the bill plus half of the amount extra as a tip. Which was probably the largest tip jaejoong got all day. Not that yunho kept track on purpose. He just noticed. Yunho chuckled to Hana who stood so up close though on the inside he wasn't laughing about it and he wanted to shove her. but he didn't. He picked up the cup and took a sip. He let the slightly hot beverage roll around in his mouth, caressing his taste-buds. The little brat was right. It was sweet. And it tasted delicious. "hmm. heaven in a cup. It's extraordinary tasteful." He sighed out with a smile. That, he meant. It was so good. He carefully took another sip of the steamy beverage. "Too bad they don't sell it. I think this might actually beat my favorite drink." He put the cup down and smiled. "Thank you very much. I'll talk to you in a bit then." Yunho nodded when the two walked off. Enjoying the special coffee with a tiny feeling of victory. He got his doll to make him something special. That put up his mood a little. Though there were still many bothersome factors, yunho was sure he could deal with them all one by one. if he had the patience for it. Now that was an entire different story. Patience wasn't one of his strong features. [1/2
@๖ۣۜV Jaejoong When he had finished the liquid from the cup he noted on the clock that there were only a few minutes left. Deciding he would wait the rest of those minutes outside, yunho took his coat and got up. Preparing for a slightly colder environment. Outside it was nothing like the warmth of the cafe. There was no relaxed atmosphere. no gentle background music. No warmth, no comforting lights. Especially out back in the alley where the dumpster was situated for the cafe. It was the staff exit of the cafe, yunho knew. And it was darker then the normal street. One light bulb above the door lid up the alley badly. The rest of the light came from the street at the end of the alley. It was getting dark and the shadow of the dumpster on the ground was getting longer. Yunho knew there were no functioning cameras in the alley. there was one above the door, but it was for show. it wasn't even wire connected to anything. Though it fooled most burglars. it wasn't fooling yunho. He took a crate from next to the dumpster and stepped on it just under the light bulb so he could reach it. With a glove he unscrewed the bulb a little bit until it was loose enough to stop lighting the alley. That way people would think it was broke. He stepped off and put the crate back like nothing had happened. Waiting for jaejoong to come out into the darkness to talk to him. Yunho didn't like unwanted spotlights unless he decided if they were on or not. hence he turned off the light bulb outside. There were a few empty bottles sticking from the dumpster. leaving it a crack open which made the unpleasant garbage scent fill the alley. There was a sewer plate a few feet away from the dumpster and the exit of the cafe. and a few pipes in the wall that let out steam because they were of heating systems of the buildings that formed the alley. Finally after pacing up and down for a while, Jaejoong came out of the door. It was now or never. He had to ask and if that didn't work, he had to act. [2/2]
@๖ۣۜC Yunho ((1/2))
The welcoming aroma of cinnamon and roasting coffee beans called to the weary legs of pedestrians to take a rest on that rather dreary Tuesday. The clouds hung low in the sky that day, dark and foreboding, promising at least a week's worth of rain and snow within the next few hours. It was a day of gale force winds. The temperatures dropped to below forty degrees and the people were dashing into buildings for warmth and shelter against the impending storm. Biting arctic winds stole through the ornate double doors whenever they open and s delicately around the patrons' bodies, raising goosebumps and the dire need for a hot beverage. The day, only bright and sunny just an hour ago, was now dark and shadowed.
From high-end business-people and attorneys to those that worked more modest jobs around town, people from all over were set on taking refuge within the warm, welcoming walls of Café JaDé, a family-owned business that was originated by a mother and her three children, with a close family friend working as shift manager. It was small, comfortably settled right at the edge of town, with bright and colorful signs to advertise its existence. It could be compared to a little cabin. The building itself was one of the oldest in the city, dating back perhaps several hundred years. With time and renovation, it became like new. The wood, elegantly varnished and stained, coated with a light layer of gloss and heavy waterproofing. Large glass windows provided a beautiful display of scenery for the customers to enjoy. Carefully placed furniture and artwork created the essence that one was in heir second home.
The tables were all made from a beautiful, dark mahogany wood. The chairs and booth benches were made similarly, with attached ocean pastel cushions for comfort. A large masonry constructed fireplace that had recently undergone improvement to look brand new resided on the northern side of the building near a few booths. It was like slipping into your grandmother's dining room, but multiplied by a few more tables and a service counter. Menus were situated at every table—one for every seat, even if no one was sitting there—along with little bells that could be used to hail down one of the waiters or waitresses.
One young man, casually dressed in the fluffiest lavender sweater and black skinny jeans, loved days like these. The dreary atmosphere outside was long forgotten once people got to see him and his bubbly younger sister Hana. Most people were tough, intimidating, intense, whilst Jaejoong and his sisters were more dainty and sweet like honey. Their cheerful dispositions brightened up everyone's days, no matter how crummy they were before. It always pleased the Kim trio when another smile tugged at the corner of a patron's lips, or when the boisterous laughter of small children suddenly echoed through the small bistro.
After receiving a nice tip from a woman and her daughter, as well as a gentle peck on the cheek by said little girl—she had to have been at least five, he figured—he shuffled back into the kitchen and stored the extra bills in his already full tip jar. Some people were extremely kind and insisted that he get a tip for his services, even if he told them that it was okay and that he could not take money from them because he felt uncomfortable with it. They insisted, and Jaejoong just could not say no to a small girl in a frilly lavender dress cuddling with an elephant plush toy that she named 'JJ'. Damn those children and their ability to manipulate people with their huge, pleading puppy eyes. Small children were Jaejoong's weakness. Whenever a child entered the store, Jaejoong was always the first to welcome the family and seat them, as well as take their orders. He got to play with the kids and give them free treats, and the adults never minded.
"Big Brother!" The sound of his sister's voice reached his ears, despite the constant chatter of customers and he joyous shouts of little kids as they got their delicacies from other waiters and waitresses. Jaejoong turned, tucking a stray lock of ebony black hair behind his ear as he watched her approach him with hurried steps.
"What is it, Hana?" he asked gently, a light smile appearing on his face at the sight of his younger sister dressed in a cute pink heart patterned sweater and white skinny jeans. She was adorable, and Jaejoong just loved her to pieces.
"I heard some man talking to a waiter just a minute ago, and he said he wanted to have you sent to his table," she told him, puffing her cheeks as she recalled the man she had seen Jaejoong frequently serving throughout the day.
@๖ۣۜC Yunho ((2/2))
"Let me guess," Jaejoong hummed, "the same man I've served about fifteen times today?"
Hana nodded at him. "He's making me jealous, Big Brother! I didn't get to talk to you all day and he's stealing you from me again!" she whined.
Jaejoong burst out into joyous laughter at his sister's complaint and wrapped an arm around the little girl's shoulder as he walked out of the kitchen. Instead of letting herself be dragged by the shoulders, she latched onto his arm possessively and followed him, wanting to see just who it was that was stealing her beloved brother's attention from her.
As they approached the table, Hana moved to stand behind Jaejoong, using him as a protective barrier from the customer her brother was tending to for the nth time that day. The man was different from the other patrons. Hana noted how he always came in at the beginning of their shift and left at the same time. Either he had a lot of money to spend or he just really, really liked being in the café. Whichever it was, she still didn't like how he always took her favorite sibling's attention away from her. He was a handsome man. Tall, fit, olive-skinned, with thick auburn hair that framed a small face. But he was just so...clingy to Jaejoong.
Jaejoong did not have the chance to speak before the individual—whom he had gotten to know as a popular patron by the name of Jung Yunho—asked him about his recommendation and the bill. Pursing his lips in thought, the raven-haired youth adjusted the black-rimmed glasses on his face, a habit of his whenever he was in deep thought, before smiling warmly at the customer.
"How about I make you something special instead? It's a recipe that isn't sold in the café, and it's very popular among my family," he suggested. Hana gasped behind him.
"Big Brother, do you mean the JJ's Mystery Blend?" she questioned. "The one you make for us on Pancake Saturday?"
"The very same, Hana," he replied to the girl.
Hana squealed with delight and looked at the tall man a the table. "You have to try it, Mister! Big Brother makes the best coffee ever! It's super sweet and delicious! I don't know how he makes it but it's really good!"
Jaejoong, feeling flustered by the sudden praise, hurriedly told his younger sister to hush before turning back to his valued customer. "Since my little Hana seems so adamant on having you try it, I'll treat you to my specialty beverage and have your bill brought out with it. It'll take a few minutes, but I guarantee you that it will be worth the wait." He smiled politely and bowed to the customer, his sister following suit, before turning to go back to the kitchen. But before he got to leave, the man spoke up again and asked whether Jaejoong could meet him after his shift.
"Well, I..." he hesitated for a moment. "I—I guess I could meet with you for a few minutes. I won't be able to stay for long, though.
Hana pouted and looked up at her brother dejectedly. "Big Brother, you promised to come home early today and help me on my art project..."
"I know I did, sweetheart," Jaejoong cooed. "I'll only be talking with this nice man for a few minutes. Then I'll come out to the car and we can all go home, and I'll help you on the art project and give you some of the snacks I took from the pantry. Don't tell Mom, though."
"Yay!" Hana beamed as she grabbed her brother's hand and started to drag him towards the kitchen. "Come on, then! Let's go make the JJ's Mystery Blend for the nice man!"
Not even twenty minutes had passed before Jaejoong and his sister returned. Hana, being the eager little thing she was, stood behind Jaejoong and anxiously watched as her brother carefully set the steaming mug of coffee down before the customer and handed him the bill. Glancing up, she noticed her brother was probably just as anxious. This was his first time making the Mystery Blend for someone that wasn't family, and that was a big deal in itself.
Noticing her creeper-like behavior, Jaejoong nudged his sister to back up a bit. "Come on now, Hana," he urged gently. "Let us give the man some space." He turned back to the individual and smiled, bowing slightly. "I hope you like it. And...I'll talk to you after my shift has ended. Take care now! We hope to see you again." With that, he ushered Hana back to the kitchen so that they could pack their things and head home when Mama Kim decided to close shop.
To jaejoong:
-i wanna love you but i better not touch- Soft music playing through the speakers of the cafe made for a relaxed atmosphere. but there was one set of ears that didn't listen to it, One person in particular who wasn't relaxed at all. In fact, Yunho was rather tense. His hand turned to a fist under the table while his eyes never left one certain waiter. His name was Kim Jaejoong and Yunho had noticed him directly the first time he visited this cafe. Since then he became a regular and took more and more interest in the pretty boy. With a little imagination, the kid looked like a doll, and yunho being the messed up person he was, loved living dolls. Especially if he could break them and if they were femine like the boy he was watching.
You'd think that constantly watching him was stalker behavior? Well that wasn't all of it. Gradually, yunho found ways to shadow his new interest. He found out where the boy lived, he found out the phone number, relatives, friends, daily schedule. Oh yeah, yunho was hooked. Like he was on drugs. He wanted to know everything about this boy so that when the time came to propose him to let yunho into his life, the boy wouldn't be able to refuse. Because Yunho never took no for an answer. And that being said, he made sure that if he got a no. He could quickly turn it into a yes. Like his dear old daddy used to say, You get what you want or you take it. And if someone gives you a hard time, give them a harder time. Eye for an eye.
Yunho had already had several drinks (non alcoholic) as he sat there for a while. He was being a pain because he refused to let himself be served by any other person then the boy he craved to be with. He craved to dress him up like the doll he was. Thing was, he was a paying customer and he kept himself calm, there for they couldn’t send him away, even if he was being a pain. Surely by now the younger must have noticed his interest in him. But that wasn’t the thing that Yunho was concerned about. What irritated him to the core was that he wasn’t the only one who had an eye for his doll. HIS doll. But there were ers in the café that gave jae tips and smiles and hints towards the longing for certain things Yunho would certainly not allow them to have. And above all that grabby boss of his doll. He had such loose hands that Yunho had to dig his nails into the wooden table to control himself and prevent from getting up and snapping his neck. Dear lord that man was testing him. He tapped his nails on the table impatiently.
Every day he saw the threat to his relationship with the boy grow. Every day there was more and more coming between them. And oh how it ate away at Yunho. Chewing at his soul. Blackening his heart even further, if there was anything left at all. He wanted nothing more than to take Jaejoong away from the world and keep him to himself.
Another waiter came over daring to ask him if he wanted another drink. Did it look like he wanted something touched by those filthy hands? He needed pure hands to serve him. Doll hands. Jaejoong’s hands. “Send Jaejoong to my table please.” He asked as politely as he could. But on the inside a storm was brewing. Fortunately Jaejoong’s shift was almost over. So Yunho was going to order a last drink and the check. And he’d ask the boy to meet him out back after his shift. Because he really wanted to ask jae out. Harmless question right? Oh no…
The elder put on a charming smile only for the waiter he had set his eyes on. Not a single other staff member would catch a smile from him. They didn’t deserve it. Once the boy did get to his table Yunho asked him for a last drink and the check. “I've had every non alcoholic drink on the list I think. For the last one today, what would you recommend? I want the check along with that one, I've been here long enough. Though.. you get off in a little while right? I have something I want to ask you? Why don’t you meet me out back when you’re done with your shift?” Yunho’s words rolled out like honey. On a pleasant hum and it didn’t sound like what it truly was, a trap. It didn’t sound at all like Yunho was ready to take his prey home. He had been spending a lot of time to get everything ready. After the last pet he didn’t want to make any more mistakes and on top of that, this one deserved better then the last one. The last one was… fun.. for a while, but not perfect. But this one.. oh he was just perfect. Absolutely and deliciously perfect.
No, seriously, though...
Can I have Jaejoong back just so I can save up my roleplay and my profile layout and things like that?
I apologize for not really being active. Muses come and go and mine has just been dead for a little while.
