@Kim Minseok For the past few months, Im Jinah, along with S.H.I.E.L.D, had been trying to track down mutants all over the world, hoping to persuade them into joining their organization before the evil group of mutants could recruit them, in which Im Jinah was once a part of.

The evil mutants intend in creating a horde of powerful mutants and take over the world- a world with no human existence. She was only able to ferret out the truth when she was in the brink of death, courtesy of her evil lover, the ringleader. She was his puppet, he pulls the strings, and she does what she is told. She accepted long ago that love was not meant for her but believed otherwise when he came into the picture. She started thinking that maybe love was not impossible for her; he was sweet, gentle and caring. But it ended so soon, things changed quickly like how a bright sunny day can easily be ruined by a storm.

She had been the key to locate mutants all over the world. A scientist who is working for S.H.I.E.L.D. invented a machine that is designed to amplify brainwaves so it could enhance Im Jinah’s telepathic powers, making it easier to locate mutants all over the world. Kim Minseok was one of them.

“No one” , she said as she find herself sitting beside him after a whole day of following him around the city, her eyes fixated on the fading sunset with an unwavering gaze, as a fiery red orb of light slowly sank beneath the horizon, and threads of light lingered across the sky, mingling with the rolling clouds, dyeing the vast sky, first orange, then red, then dark blue, until all that was left of the sunset was a chalky mauve, and then that melted away in turn as inky darkness took over the sky.

“Beautiful, isn’t it?” She stated casually, referring to the sunset.

Weakening rays of sunlight stretched out across the dock as the sun dipped its way into slumber behind the clouds; the aged, algae-coated wood of the pier bathed itself in the sunset as the sky faded from dusky orange to deep cerulean and shadows began to creep together into darkness.
Orion was rather fond of shadows- he liked the way they could stretch, creep, reach for one another and join together to create solidity, unity. He sat with his toes dangling just above the rippling surface of water below him, his eyes fixated on the fading sunset and his hands tucked behind his back for support. Around him, the air was peaceful, silent; the noise of chattering passers-by and blaring car horns had faded into the background, along with the rest of the city.
Peace, at last.
It wasn't that Orion disliked other people- he was simply used to his solitude. He had spent years alone, with only the four walls of his gilded room and the distant glitter of Arctic stars for company- the sudden rush of humanity, of liveliness in his world was a bit overwhelming. He wasn't sure he liked it- he wasn't sure what actually 'liking things' meant, for that matter.
Emotions, justice- the good and the bad, subjects so often reported upon from the tinny television that sat in the back room of the ice cream shop he worked at- it was all a mystery to him. He wondered when the world would start to make sense.

Below him, the water had begun to waver; he wiggled a foot absently, a small smile gracing his lips as the liquid rose in response and began to crystalize. It was beautiful, the art he could create from ice. It was perhaps his only true joy in life. He leaned forwards, brushing a hand towards the tiny glacier he had created, and let three flakes of snow slide onto his fingers. The glittered in the dying light, their light transparency absorbing the sky's dusky blue splendor. Orion flicked the tiny specks into the air, where they hung, suspended, gleaming and glittering in the darkness. He gazed at them idly, his mind drifting-

And then all at once, the peace was gone. He stiffened, going rigid, his hands scrambling for the dark glasses that he often kept close in order to hide his eyes- he had heard something. Footsteps, maybe. Or maybe it was the wind. He wasn't sure.

"Who's there?"
