SLYTHERINS are known to be ambitious, resourceful, and cunning. They are often very strategic, and they think out their plans very carefully and systematically before taking action, much unlike most Gryffindors. It it because of this step-by-step thinking they are so wonderful at potions. Slytherins are self-preserving, which accounts for the distrust many offer them, for Slytherins are more likely to save themselves in a dire situation; however, they make spectacular leaders because of their ability to keep cool under a stressful position. Slytherins are determined and driven, and are often misunderstood in their motives. Some believe that they are indifferent or even cold towards others, but it is often merely out of their rationalization. They aren't particularly nosy and they won't shove themselves into others' business. They have the mindset of, "If I don't take care of myself, I won't be able to take care of someone else if something happens." They are also resourceful and intelligent in a way that they are able to channel their abilities into achieving their goals They have a tendency to be quite traditional in their ways, which is why they upheld, and perhaps some still uphold, the idea of being pureblood of utter importance that Salazar Slytherin introduced for so long.
