Combat RP-ing may be a new concept to some, so here are a few guidelines for those who need help!
DO:
-Organise the fight with the other party. It is best to decide the winner beforehand.
-Look out for your opponent and understand your own champion. If they have stronger attack power, it only makes sense that you try to avoid them as much as possible, not just charging ahead, straight into their attack range. If your champion is bulky, it only makes sense that they are slightly slower.
-Stick to your champion's overall theme. Don't start switching powers up just to rule the battle in your favour. The Tribunal will award you with a glittering strike.
DON'T:
-Godmod. No one is superior in the sense that they are entirely invulnerable, which leads us to our next point.
-Control others' champions. I repeat, do NOT control others' champions. No godmodding please. I'm serious. Eg: "Jinx cackles in glee as she continues to shoot at Champion B, who retreats a distance away, squealing." Note the part in bold. Please, don't do things like these unless you have permission, or when you are paraphrasing a previous action posted by the opponent champion themselves.
-Be afraid to get hit. We all know it somehow feels humiliating when you get injured in a fight, but it is a fight after all. Fighting is a give-and-take situation, you give hits, you get hit. Such is life, my friend. Again, you are not invulnerable, please be realistic.
-Ensure you always land a hit. You want to win, yes, but let's be realistic here. You'll definitely miss some shots, misfire your skill shots. So what? That's part of the fun of combat RP! Here's an example: "Jinx narrows her eyes, taking aim. Her rocket fires, and shoots straight into Champion B's back as they attempt an escape." That's a no-no. Instead, leave your attacks open, like this: "Jinx narrows her eyes, taking aim. Her rocket fires, spinning forward at an alarming speed." See? Better! This way, your opponent is able to decide how it hits, or whether it misses, which makes it a whole lot more exciting.
