Plot 1. ❝ Karaoke.❞
Muse A and Muse B are both struggling musicians in their own bands, and always find themselves in the same karaoke bar together, singing for the crowd just to feel like they’re living their dream of performing for a crowd for a night. They become close friends over drinks and music, and sing duets together. Over time, Muse B grows disheartened with the music scene. Their band breaks up and Muse B gets a job as a waiter to support themselves as they try to save up for college. Muse A keeps going to the same karaoke bar but doesn’t see Muse B around anymore.
Five years later, Muse B is overworked and underpaid, but their friend offers them a free ticket to go see a band they’ve never heard of. They agree to go along, and are surprised to see Muse A as the front man of the band, singing to a sold-out show.
Muse B tries to meet up with them at the end of the show, but will Muse A remember them?
And will they forgive them for disappearing without a trace?
How has the time changed both Muse A and Muse B?
2. ❝ Please God, Tell Me We’re Dreaming❞
Muse A and Muse B live in separate dimensions. Muse B cannot enter Muse A’s world, but Muse A can enter Muse B’s world in their dreams. Muse B’s world is ruled by a dystopian dictator whose troops terrify the civilians into submission, but a revolution is brewing. Muse A must help the resistance and fight alongside Muse B to overthrow the government, bringing items from their own dimension (items no one on Muse B’s dimension has ever seen before) to use as weapons. What weapons Muse A is able to bring depends on their situation in waking life, but even household items in Muse A’s dimension can spark fear and confusion in Muse B’s. While this has an advantage, Muse A can only be present for the revolution in their dreams, and if they are woken up in their world they disappear from Muse B’s, with time passing in Muse B’s world while Muse A is awake, unaware of what is happening in the parallel timeline, and who knows what would happen if they are injured or killed in their dreams?
Can the two muses defeat their foe together and free Muse B’s people?
What sorts of tragedies await Muse A on the other side of unconsciousness?
3. ❝ Pack all your morals up with your finest gown, because your real life is never coming back.. ❞
Muse A is a multi-millionaire with a giant mansion in which they through huge, exclusive and luxurious parties. Everyone hears about the parties, but even journalists reporting can only get long-distance photographs, since security is tight and attendees don’t say much about what goes on at the parties, only vague statements about how it was fun and how Muse A always throws such great parties. Muse B somehow gets invited to one of these parties, or ends up sneaking in, just to see what goes on. They’re dazzled by the lights, the music, the expensive and exotic food and drink. Everyone is dressed to the nines and having a wonderful time, until Muse A stands to start a toast, announcing that the event everyone came for was about to begin. Everyone is whispering excitedly, and Muse B knows this is the secret they’ve been dying to find out.
Little do they know how the terrifying reason Muse A hosts these parties.
4. ❝ Jeans and a T-Shirt ❞
Muse A is in a crowded place expecting to meet somebody for reasons that are secret. They do not know the person they’ve been in contact with or what they look like, but they were told what the person would be wearing. Muse B is not the person Muse A is expecting to meet, but they just so happen to be wearing the same outfit Muse A was told to look out for. Muse A approaches Muse B and announces that they were expecting to meet them.
Out of boredom, curiosity, or attraction to Muse A, Muse B goes along with it and pretends to be the person Muse A thinks they are, following them and trying to act like they know what’s going on.
How does Muse B react when they find out the reason that Muse A wanted to meet?
Was this all a coincidence or was Muse B specifically chosen by the person in correspondence with Muse A?
What are the consequences if Muse A finds out Muse B is not who they say they are?
5. ❝ Heaven on Their Minds❞
Muse A and Muse B live in a small town and attend a very conservative place of worship. Muse A is very religious and attends regularly to pray and repent, while Muse B only goes to appease their parents, at first, anyway. The two mingle a lot before service, being some of the few attendees in their age group, and Muse B quickly takes a liking to Muse A.
Muse A knows that they’re gay, but have been hiding it and praying on it for many years, hoping that their God would give them strength to cast away the evil influence and allow them to be straight. Muse B knows that they’re gay as well, and keep it secret, knowing their family would throw them out if they told them, but they have come to terms with it.
After some coaxing, Muse A gives in and finds themselves falling for Muse B, but still struggling with their uality going against their religion. Meanwhile, Muse B is working up the nerve to ask if they can come out as a couple to their families and congregation.
