@jung soojung Minseok had been there for over an hour, watching intently as people moved in and out of the restaurant with ease. Those that had left had looked exceptionally satisfied, and Minseok had to say he was too, when he first tasted the noodles that Soojung had put on his table a while ago. He had never really bothered to come out all the way to Soojung's father's noodle house, but he definitely regretted passing up the chances to. He loved the way the noodles were kneaded, and cut and he was completely sated when he had finished the whole bowl. He had even gone so far as to drink all the soup in the bowl, sipping slowly because he had a lot of time to spare.

For a while, Minseok had fiddled with his phone, replying all the messages he had owed others. He answered his family's worried texts, and students' questions about the lessons he had held over the past few days and wasted a bit of time. Slipping his phone back into his pocket, he looked around, leaning against the back of his chair. His back was hurting a bit, maybe it was a sign of old age..? He shook his head, clearing his head from that thought. He wasn't that old yet.

Minseok was distracted, marking papers he had brought in his bag, whiling away time at the noodle house. He hadn't noticed Soojung walking up to his table while he was nibbling at the tip of his pen, reading his student's essays. "Oh," he said, looking up at the medicine student. "Soojung?" He watched as she placed a plate of dumplings on his table. Widening his eyes, Minseok shook his head and gestured at the food. "I didn't order this," he said quietly, but he didn't deny that he loved the smell of it.

@jung soojung Minseok wasn't sure whether she had heard his comment or not, but he wasn't going to take any chances so he kept quiet and pretended like nothing really happened.

He nodded at the question, closing the menu and keeping it at the side of the table in case he needed it later on. "That's all for now," he said, looking up at Soojung, whose face looked weary and tired. Maybe he should've come on another day, but he wanted to get to the root of the problem and decided that today was the day he needed to get it done. "I'll wait however long you need." And he was being completely honest, he didn't exactly have much to do except eat and go back to get rest, maybe mark some scripts but that was it.

Minseok chuckled belatedly at the other's joke, but it had been long after she turned away to key in his order. Did she realise that it was him? Probably. He hoped so. Finding nothing much to do, Minseok looked around at the busy noodle house. It looked more than just decent, had a nice decor and was packed, full of people even at night. Why then wasn't Soojung able to continue on with her medicine course?

@jung soojung Minseok raised his eyebrows at the girl. It was most definitely Jung Soojung, one of the best students he had in his class, or one of the best he'd had ever since he'd been a teacher. Despite her messy appearance, hair falling all over her face, it was definitely Soojung, and she looked tired. Minseok perused through the menu, noting all the delicacies that were being served there. It wasn't easy to choose anything! Especially with all the noise and being preoccupied with trying to get Soojung back.

"You back in my class, maybe." He muttered as a reply to the student. It was really meant for himself to hear but there was a possibility that he had said it too loud, as it was a response he hadn't thought about before saying it. Slightly embarrassed, he looked up at the medicine student, smiling as his cheeks dusted pink. He wasn't supoosed to be feeling embarrassed but he did, still.

"Sorry," he said quietly. "I'll have the highly recommended noodles." Minseok smiled up at the other. "And if you have time later, could we talk?"

@jung soojung To say Minseok was surprised was an understatement. He had heard the news of his student, Soojung, quitting her minor, medicine. He had never really spoken to her, but he knew she took her work seriously, worked extremely hard, and her passion for the subject spoke through the essays she had submitted. Her work had always been one of the earliest, never slipshod and always extremely detailed. Minseok liked having a student like her. It was refreshing to see such a passionate student, when he was equally as passionate as her. This was one of the reasons why he started to teach, anyway.

Minseok furrowed his eyebrows, confused as to why the sudden drop in the subject but he wasn't able to get a reason out of the people from the admin office. Slightly confused, Minseok made his way personally to the administrative office, asking for Soojung's address, which he wasn't able to get, of course, but they had given him the address of her father's noodle shop instead. Thanking his lucky stars, the professor pushed past throngs of noisy students to make his way out onto the street.

The professor typed the address into his smartphone, deciding to visit today since he was hungry and he was going to order takeout anyway. He figured that handmade noodles would be better. A while later, he found himself standing in front of a particularly busy noodle shop. He shouldn't have been surprised, since it was nearing dinner time and rush hour, but he was anyway. He found a seat in the booth, near the back of the noodle shop, craning his neck for a certain blonde who belonged in his class - or used to. He was going to try and get her back, though. "Soojung?" He called softly, noticing a tall girl walking to and fro the kitchen. It had to be her.
