@`Song Jinhee (k̷w̷o̷n̷ s̷u̷j̷e̷o̷n̷g̷) Eunrae wasn't sure if she would fit in here like what Jinhee did. She held the smile on her face as she listened to Jinhee speak of the seniors in the company. She knew most of them, more like heard of, since she hasn't gotten a chance to meet them, yet. The more she heard, she more the butterflies in her stomach flutter.
"I'm just afraid I couldn't fit in like how you did.." Eunrae lets out a soft sigh and hung her head slightly low. Then then looked back up at Jinhee, "I mean, you're doing great for your first week, but look at me.. I'm not much of a social butterfly." She sat slumped.
@Jung EunRae (t̷z̷u̷y̷u̷) For a moment, Jinhee couldn't help but blink is surprise at the younger female's motions - once, twice - and then, she understood. "Oh. Okay." She whispered almost unconsciously before sitting beside Eunrae - only for her to softly chuckle before answering. "Well, actually, there's not much happening to me, still. It's just been almost a week since I arrived, after all." She began, taking a deep breath before continuing. "But so far, it's been a great experience. Surprisingly, most of the people who greeted me and befriended me here in my first few days are Sunbaes." Chuckling, she added. "Not the soon-to-debut Sunbae-nims, though. Not that they aren't nice, but I'm too shy to approach them because they might be busy. Out of them, the one who I talked to the most on a certain degree was my main mentor, Willow Sunbae-nim. But the senior trainees are /really/ nice."
And without meaning to, while looking at the distance, the female smiled. "I can't help but admire the soon-to-debut Sunbae-nims, though. They're all so talented - not just Willow Sunbae-nim's groupmates. Even the PHNX members are impressive. To some extent, I have become their fangirl." She said before breaking out into more chuckles. "Though, I'm nervous as hell in approaching them. Yunmi, one of the senior trainees, had encouraged me to talk to the higher Sunbaes because they're nice - but I can't help it. I feel so nervous when I'm around them. Not that I'm intimidated that much, but it's just... they're just that good. I don't know if I can be on their level, or if I am even worthy to breathe the same air they do."
@`Song Jinhee (k̷w̷o̷n̷ s̷u̷j̷e̷o̷n̷g̷) Seeing Jinhee being so insistent on helping, Eunrae finally gave up. "Okay... but you have to carry the lighter box!" She pursed her lips together as she dropped the bags on the side of the room. She dusted her hands against each other and stretched her arms forward. "That's one down!" She declared. "We'll deal with the two other later." She called a time out as she plumped her down onto the single sized bed and pat beside her, motioning the other to take a sit.
Tomorrow is going to be her big day, where she officially joins the junior trainees for real. On the other hand, she was eager to hear stories from Jinhee about her days in NWent so far. "Unnie... has it been tough?" She asked ever softly, unsure if it was the correct way to put it. She knew training was going to be a rough ride, but it will definitely payoff, at least that's what she told herself.
@Jung EunRae (t̷z̷u̷y̷u̷) Of course, while Jinhee wasn't one who insisted much about certain things, understanding how Eunrae seemingly has more stuff to be placed it, she couldn't help but ask. "Are you really sure you can handle it on your own? I mean, if you're worrying about my schedule today, I've already broken mine way earlier by being here in my room even before you came around." Then continued her steps.
And alas, she was right. She had gained yet another dongsaeng... not that there were actually a lot of female dongsaengs around for her because most of them were guys, but nevertheless, a new addition to the people who would call her noona or unnie. "Sure thing, I really don't mind." was her reply to the female's question, coupled with a smile. Honestly, she really didn't mind anyways - the age gap was small to the point that she wouldn't mind /not/ being called 'unnie' either way.
Well, it was nice to help somebody out. The fact that people have helped her settle in when she was the newbie means that she should also help others entering the company after her. It's just how things go, people just pass it on.
She chuckled at the way Eunrae seemingly enumerated everything like a checklist and nodded with a smile, but immediately reacted regarding the food. "Aiyah--no, it's okay." She began, the smile still in her features, waving a hand in front of her in dismissal. "While free food is tempting, I'll be fine even if you don't treat me."
@`Song Jinhee (k̷w̷o̷n̷ s̷u̷j̷e̷o̷n̷g̷) Eunrae pursed her lips together and hummed affirmatively at Jinhee's question. "I know who to go to when I need an extra hand! But I'm good for now!" She chirped. She balanced most stuff in her arms as though she was carrying an infant.
"Ah.." Eunrae nodded and responded in a heart beat, "I'm sixteen this year!" Her big eyes grew smaller and she grinned, Jinhee was indeed someone she can rely on. Jinhee is one older sister she would want, if she had one. She was the only child at home and her decision to enter NWent was a tough one. She always kept to herself because of her over-protective parents who never dare let her enter the real world, at least not alone. "Can I call you unnie?" She asked almost timidly. She wasn't sure if the other would be fine with that. Inside, she was hoping this would be the start of a new friendship.
"I.. actually have another 2 more boxes of stuff at the lobby.." Her first sentence trailed off. Almost immediately she continued it with much enthusiasm, "But I can handle them myself! I definitely wouldn't want to hold you up with your schedule." Eunrae explained herself.
Eunrae followed slightly behind Jinhee as she introduced her room. She nodded at every thing she said, keeping a mental note for herself. "Clean sheets, checked. Pillowcases, checked." She pat on her medium sized luggage bag. "Bathroom checked! Friendly neighbour checked!" Eunrae was just this close to hugging her new friend. "I should buy you food some time soon."
@Jung EunRae (t̷z̷u̷y̷u̷) The sight of the female's intent refusal once more made Jinhee chuckle - not because this newcomer looked funny but because she looked so much like a flustered younger sister that she couldn't help but feel the need to assist her. "Are you sure? I really can lend you a hand." She added, but then nodded in understanding before proceeding to lead her to the room.
Upon getting to the room, the female even went so far as to open the door for her, then turned to Eunrae when she got asked. "Oh, me?" She first said in response, then smiled. "I just turned seventeen last month. How about you? Are you an unnie or a dongsaeng?" She added, though in her mind, with how things unfolded, she was already almost sure that this new addition was younger than her.
"Okay, what else do we need to carry?" She asked rhetorically afterwards, looking around the room herself. "So, there are clean sheets here if you haven't brought your own," She motioned to the closet in one side of the room, "as well as good pillowcases. There's a communal bathroom at one of the end of the hallway, but there's also a section dedicated to the toilet somewhere around there." she added, motioning to another part of the room. "If there's anything else, you can just knock on my door, okay?"
@`Song Jinhee (k̷w̷o̷n̷ s̷u̷j̷e̷o̷n̷g̷) Eunrae stretched out her full hands, only to be holding them against her own chest as she waved her hands giving her negative response to the other. "It's okay. I can do it myself. Really!" She emphasised her words making sure she wasn't inconveniencing the other.
The girl was indeed helpful and nice, maybe her stay here won't be as bad as she imagined. Jinhee, she made a mental note in her head. She was also a new trainee like herself, she smiled knowing that she wasn't the only new trainee.
Eunrae nodded as she paced right behind Jinhee. The rooms weren't too far from the hallway she had entered. She noted the turns and her surroundings, making sure she wouldn't get lost when she comes around again. "Jinhee-ssi.. May I ask.. how old are you?" She made many questions in her mind, wondering which ones to start with, and she decided with that. Would she be an unnie that she could depend on?
@Jung EunRae (t̷z̷u̷y̷u̷) Looking at the female fixing herself up, Jinhee responded with a smile and a shake of her head. "It's okay if there's more. I might not look like it, but I actually can carry a lot of stuff." She said, chuckling afterwards. To be frank about it, Jinhee herself wasn't really athletic or brusque, but she's certainly not a weakling either. Already doing physical work to some extent even with mere seventeen years on her, then surely she won't be a flimsy help. "Where are the other stuff? I might be able to bring them to your room."
And upon the realization that she had yet to state her name, she broke out into embarrassed chuckles. "Ack. That was rude of me not to tell you my name." She remarked before immediately following it up with "Sorry about that. I'm Song Jinhee, by the way. Am also a new trainee. I just arrived a few days ago." and chuckling softly once more. "Anyways, I'll help you with those things. We don't need to bring everything in one go - no one will touch them anyways."
With how the female seemed like, Jinhee couldn't help but think that this new face - Eunrae - was younger than her. Apparently, most of the junior trainees have been younger than her seventeen years of existence - and at first glance, aside from the girl's tall stature, she seemed to fit the bill.
@`Song Jinhee (k̷w̷o̷n̷ s̷u̷j̷e̷o̷n̷g̷) Eunrae's eyes brighten up as she hear the other's response, they were neighbours. Great night, for now. She nodded at her offer to help her move her stuff. She had a bit more than she can handle as she practically moved half her bedroom in. "Actually.. there's more, but I don't think I should bring everything here, or should I?" She asked as she picked up her backpack and the papers that had fallen out just moments ago as she dug for her documents.
"Okay..." Eunrae took a deep breath although she was still nervous as hell, she wasn't much of a social person, as much as she hope she would grow into. But her mood was lifted up from her first new found.. friend, perhaps. She was excited, pumped up actually just by the other's words as she wondered how it would be like for her future days. Lessons would fill her schedule, and of course, what every one here hopes, to debut one day. She wasn't one of the youngest of her batch, she had heard. Being 16, made her a tat at a disadvantage if she were to be pit up against the others. But at least she made the first step, getting in.
Eunrae wondered how her room would look like, if her stuff would be out of place like how she normally is. "I.. haven't gotten your name.." She said softly, afraid that it was her own mistake that she didn't catch her name.
@Jung EunRae (t̷z̷u̷y̷u̷) Jinhee blinked at the other female's actions. Once, twice, thrice, and then let herself smile and chuckle softly. She looked too much like her during her first day, the awkwardness and uncertainty was /so similar/ to her that she can't help but think that it would be a grave wrong on her part if she doesn't help this girl. And so, when the other female took out the documents, Jinhee already took initiative and approached her as well. When they finally met, Jinhee kept a small smile while saying "Okay, let me look at that..." while gently holding the paper for her to read through.
Oh. Wait. This is...
"The room beside mine." Jinhee said, her small smile still in place, though she was surprised by the slight nervousness and agitation - or was that excitement? - that she saw in the girl's features. At this, Jinhee couldn't help but chuckle. "Well, nice to meet you, Eunrae-sshi." She said in reply before bowing her head slightly, a hint of slight amusement and pleasant surprise in her tone. "It's okay. Believe it or not, even this late, a lot of other trainees are still practicing, so you don't need to be too conscious."
In fact, if it weren't for the fact that she suddenly got that message earlier on, she herself would have been running through songs in the vocal rehearsal room since the afternoon. But as fate may have it, she was around to help this girl named Eunrae. "Don't be too nervous. I'm actually pretty chill."
With a deep breath, and a grin, she spoke again - the text message's words of making friends and helping people out echoing repeatedly in her head.
"Well, since your room is actually beside mine, do you want me to help you move your stuff in?"
@`Song Jinhee (k̷w̷o̷n̷ s̷u̷j̷e̷o̷n̷g̷) The lights started to flicker till they were fully switched on. Eunrae stumbled on her own foot and laughed inwardly realising that she was just being silly. It was another girl on the other side. She lets out a soft sigh of relieve, as she walked closer. Her hand hesitated as she attempt to lift up and wave at the unfamiliar face before her. But what if she doesn't wave back? With her hand half risen, she moved it to the back of her head and tilted her head. "Um.. kinda.." Eunrae scratched the back of her head in response to the girl's question. Looking for her room, she was.
That's when she remembered. "I... kept a copy of the admission documents." She said as she dropped her bag on the ground and dug for a specific piece of paper. "There it is!" She took out the paper that was slightly crumpled and lifted it up in the air like she had found a treasure map. She grinned as she read through the paper again. Then she looked up, still a distance away from the girl as she squatted in the middle of the hall way. "Here... I'm not sure which room this is..." She stood up and finally walked closer to the girl.
"Ah! Where are my manners! Annyeonghaseyo! Jung Eun Rae imnida!" She bowed so much she could feel her head was almost touching her knees. She quickly cover , it was late at night after all. "Sorry, was I.. too loud?" She was an awkward duckling like that.
@Jung EunRae (t̷z̷u̷y̷u̷) It was a fortunate thing that Jinhee had, due to the tumultuous state of her emotions, forgotten to bring her headphones with her - a habit she had picked up after a few days of settling in the company and dorm-life. And so, when a voice had come from the other end of the hallway, she managed to hear it - hear it well, in fact, which was why she immediately turned to the sound's direction. Okay, hopefully, this person on the other end, doesn't mistake her for some entity - especially when she also didn't tie her hair like she always does. Pausing in her steps, Jinhee took a careful look at the figure, squinting a bit and leaning forward slightly...
... and then she spoke.
"Oh, a new trainee?" were the words that came out of her lips, before she finally decided to open all the hallway lights, making sure that whoever it was can see her properly - and she the same.
Oh, it's a girl. And by the look of things - and if her luggage bag wasn't enough of a clue - this girl is definitely a new face in the dorm.
"Omo. Hello there!" She ended up saying afterwards. "Looking for a room?"
@`Song Jinhee (k̷w̷o̷n̷ s̷u̷j̷e̷o̷n̷g̷) Eunrae stepped out of the cab, alone. She used most of her strength as she opened the trunk and took out her luggage, the driver didn't even offer to help. She made a face as she closed the boot with all her might. Her tall figure doesn't help much when she is, what most of her friends say, 'skinny like a pair of chopsticks'.
She took a deep breath as she stood before the massive building. She is finally here. "You can do it Eun Rae. This is all you've ever wanted." She said it in her mind several times, making sure it was stuck in her brain. Her watch beeped, she glanced over. distracted from the ritual she was doing just seconds ago. 11PM. No one would notice she had moved in, especially at this unearthly hour, but that was her main aim. She didn't like having everyone stare at her when she walks into the dorm. The thought of that had already given her goosebumps.
Eunrae tugged on the lime green luggage bag of hers and made her way inside, one step at a time. As expected, the halls were dark. Just when she thought there wouldn't be anyone up, a figure appears at the other end. The brightly lit exit signs reveals just so slightly of a dark figure. She stood rooted, and blinked. Maybe she shouldn't have watched that last episode of 'Ghost Hunters', because her mind was telling her otherwise.
"H-hello...?" She said in a soft whisper. 'Please don't be a ghost.' She mentally said as she clenched her jaw and fist as tightly as they would allow her.
@Jung EunRae (t̷z̷u̷y̷u̷) "I am okay, Jinhee-yah. Don't worry about me. Smile there, make friends, and never stop singing." Jinhee kept on repeating the words that lagged on the screen of her phone, the soft light the only illumination in her nearly pitch-black room. Her eyes were teary, but then again, the darkness hid it well. Her lips were trembling, but the back of her hand helped in controlling the slight trembling as she pressed it to her lips. Her frame was shaken, but unmoving. Her entire being unsure. The words were not lying to her, clear and unchanged on her phone screen.
"They already know, but I'm handling them. I'm making sure that you won't have people following you there. I am okay, Jinhee-yah. Don't worry about me. Smile there, make friends, and never stop singing. Make friends, help people who need you. Make me proud. I will never stop wishing for the day I can see you sing and dance in front of the camera. I will message you again, and do a video chat when they loosen up their reigns. For now, this would be the last message. I love you... and live out our dreams."
A tear was threatening to fall, but she took a deep breath to shove it down. She can't cry. Deep breath, Jinhee. One more, breathe until it hurts, and then let go.
When she was sure that all traces of tears had been pushed down, she locked her phone, pocketed it, and then went towards the door of her room, not bothering to open the lights anymore. Since she was alone in this room, there's nobody she needed to turn the light on for. With a deep breath, she opened her room's door, and came face to face with the hallway - afterwards walking off towards the entrance and exit way of the dorms.
Okay, maybe she can get some fruit juice or milk in the dining hall before she tries out a few songs in her room. Yeah, that can get her mind off things... at least until she manages to find something else to do.
@Lia (j̷e̷i̷ f̷i̷e̷s̷t̷a̷r̷) -walks out of my room, looking for something-
Aiyah... Where is it...
-notices you, then smiles a little-
Hi there! Sorry if I disturbed you, but have you seen an earring that looks like this?
-slips the other earring out from my jeans pocket-
It might have fallen around here, so...
*falls down on the couch after I walked to the couch groaning slightly* ah, I'm tired~ *lays down closing my eyes Tring to rest after a long day of practise once again*
@Rhys Park (c̷h̷a̷n̷y̷e̷o̷l̷) Jay chuckled at his widened eyes before thinking "hmm, when it's just us two you don't have to" he said and shrugged slightly not really minding really, he smiled at the other ad they walked to the practise room and hummed slightly.
@JAY MOON (baekhyun) Rhys smiled to the other and then widened his eyes, "So should I call you hyung then?" he asked curiously. Since they were both from America, they probably didn't mind the lack of formalities, but it was still good to ask since they were in a country which used honorifics and formalities. He smiled to the other as they made their way to the practice rooms on the other floor.
@Rhys Park (c̷h̷a̷n̷y̷e̷o̷l̷) Jay smiled at the thought and nodded "that sounds good, I like hearing others sing it's really reading to me" he admitted and shrugged slightly before we walked next to him humming slightly as he spoke "really? I'm 18 also quiet old for a trainee to be honest but I don't mind" he chuckled slightly as he walked and hummed to himself "well I have been here for a while so it does make sense" he said and smiled at the other.
@JAY MOON (baekhyun) Rhys smiled to the other and then hummed softly. "Maybe we can listen to each other sing?" he chuckled. He got up and began walking out of the common room with the other by his side. "How old are you by the way? I'm probably one of the older trainees since I'm 17 right now," he said to the other.
@Rhys Park (c̷h̷a̷n̷y̷e̷o̷l̷) Jay nodded slightly "ah, I see so not that long at all" he said smiling at the other before he hummed nodding "sure, that sounds like a good idea to me since I'm kind of bored and still need to practise" he admitted and chuckled as he stood hack up stright uncrossing his arms.
@JAY MOON (baekhyun) Rhys smiled to the other and then chuckled softly to the other, "I'm as new as you can get, I think I've only been here for about a week or so?" he chuckled. He smiled sheepishly before sighing softly. "Wanna walk around together for a bit? Maybe we can go and practice after as well?" he suggested, "That is if you're up to it though," he grinned.
@Rhys Park (c̷h̷a̷n̷y̷e̷o̷l̷) Jay chuckled and nodded slightly "and others just go along with it, well with me they do anyway" he shrugged slightly before also noticing that it had gone a lit more quiet then it was before "yeah, they probably have, I'm glad I went early then" he said and crossed his arms as he leaned back on the wall slightly smiling "yeah, I've been here a while now, though there are still a lot of people I don't know yet" he admitted and shrugged slightly "how about you?".
@JAY MOON (baekhyun) Rhys nodded to the other and then chuckled softly to the other's comment. "That's true I suppose. The quiet, somewhat serious one probably keeps the others in check," he smiled. He looked around, seeing that it was completely empty other than them. He was surprised but then again, the other trainees were probably catching up on some sleep or practicing. He chuckled and then nodded, "I see, well, I only came here recently," he smiled and then nodded to the other. "Have you been in the company long?"
@Rhys Park (c̷h̷a̷n̷y̷e̷o̷l̷) Jay thought for a second before shaking my head "I don't think so, I'm fine with my own name really" he smiled slightly before nodding slightly "yeah, you could be, I believe that every group needs someone hyper and bright and someone quiet" he said grinning slightly at the though "because if everyone was hyper it would kind of annoying?" He said and couldn't help but laugh since he found it annoying even though he is one of them hyper people himself. Jay looked at him and smiled brightly "seriously? So am I! Though I came here about 4 or 5 years ago" he said and grinned happily.
@JAY MOON (baekhyun) Rhys smiled to the other and then chuckled back, "True. Do you think you'll change your name once you debut?" he asked to the other. He leaned back on his elbows against the counter and then smiled to the other. "You think? I feel like I might not fit the vibe here... But then again, I could be that quiet one in the group or something," he smiled. He looked over to the other and then smiled, "From LA actually, moved here to pursue my passions," he grinned. "You?" he asked back.
@Rhys Park (c̷h̷a̷n̷y̷e̷o̷l̷) Jay chuckled and nodded slightly "well I think it's cool in a different way, I know quiet I few people with a similar name, my name is one that is used often" he admitted anx chuckled before shrugging slightly at what he said "your not out of place at all, we need more people like you here" Jay chuckled and nodded slightly as he finished eating and throw the rubbish away "where are you from? If you don't mind me asking" He asked the other curiously as he ca me back sming slightly.
Doing a little bit of spring cleaning to my characters because I'm heading into my Honors year
at University, so unfortunately Aiden/Junhui is gonna be leaving... for now. <3
Nayeon is leaving. I definitely do not want to take up space of a character I do not roleplay very much nowadays. Therefore, thank you for letting me be a part of this wonderful roleplay. All the best <3
Thank you so much for having me, but I think it's time Sujeong/Jinhee take her leave. I've had so much fun in this roleplay as this one was the first I joined after coming back to RPR after more than a year or two. So, really, it has a special place in my heart. But my university workload is now beginning to take a toll on me, and I'm drowning in the amount of stuff I have to do since it's my last semester. I've also become inactive here, and I don't think the RP deserves that. Thank you very much, again.
