[Z] Seoul

The Zone || Seoul City ||

The Shadows of S.Korea
Seoul, South Korea, was once a bustling city and capital, and has now fallen to crumbled ruins filled with moss and flooded waters. The call buildings, markets and shopping centers have long been raided and abandoned, and vehicles litter the streets with back-up trafic of those who have tried to flea the sudden outbreak.

The infected population is extremely high and very dangerous, however there may be leftover supplies within the stores for looters to find.

@Lee Chae Rin A soft chuckle left Jimin’s plump lips and he nodded. Yeah, he was absolutely against drama as well so he could totally understand Chaerin’s way of thinking.
“Why would I hesitate to help you? I invaded your home. And even in this time I still think that is pretty rude.” He was not like such raiders – he was a friend and not an enemy after all.
“You offered me food so I think we both are nice.”

For a moment Jimin hesitated and nodded then.
“Okay, thank you.” He his slightly. “I have a group a few miles from here so if you wanna come over, I am sure they will welcome you. They are quite friendly.” And up to now Jimin’s instinct had never failed them so that was good as well.
“Thank you. I hope your curtain will be closed for a long time. You put so much effort into this place.”
Chaerin must be pretty talented to be able to fix so many things.

“That sounds sad but I can understand that,” Jimin said and sighed softly. “I was surprisingly close to my parents and my brother. They were one of the first to go when got down.” He shrugged slightly. By now he somehow had been able to finally handle that loss – he had to. This world wasn’t gently, it was cruel and none of them could change that. Suffering would only make this worse.
He felt sorry for Chaerin but maybe that made it easier for her to live without knowing how her parents or relatives were or where.

“Travelling the world sounds so nice,” Jimin hummed. At least the world how it used to be and not how it was now. But that was something in the past, sadly. “I never left the country. Oh, wait! I think I did as a little child but I don’t remember.” A soft chuckle left his lips and he shrugged.
“This world turned pretty disgusting but… I don’t wanna give up.” He wanted to fight for a new world but who knew if it was possible to reach it.
“Isn’t that weird?” He sighed and shrugged. “Ah, oh well.”

@Park Jimin Chuckling softly as Jimin reiterates how she feels with the chaos, she smiled and nodded in agreement. "Yeah. For someone who just really hates drama, a.k.a ME, this is too much." She shook her head and smiled as Jimin thanked her again. "No need to be that thankful. I mean, I should be the one to thank you because you didn't hesitate to help me." Chaerin softly said continued eating, thinking of the odds if Jimin wasn't there to help her.

"Your first proper meal. You know, if I don't move out of this place for the next few months, you can come here to eat. I can cook something like this again. It's quite a headache at first because I had to fix everything; the water, electricity, and the carpentry but I guess it worked out. Come often if you want to, okay? If you are not sure if I am still here, you can tell with the curtain, if that is already cleared, it means I already moved out." Chaerin smiled and inhaled her food, not even shying away that she's actually comparable to a food fighter because of her big appetite.

Once the latter male brings up about her parents, Chaerin shook her head. "Nah. That's impossible. I was never close to them but I love them. "My parents were pretty distant with me. They were so focused on their business that I was left alone with maids. For others, that seems to be the life of one who lives in comfort but those years that I lived that life almost killed me on the inside. After I turned eighteen, I swore to myself that I should go and I did. I was estranged for years, by them and my relatives." Chaerin recalled how her parents disagreed so much and how she fought for her freedom.

"The money they kept on sending me on my birthday or when they feel like they are lacking as parents, I kept it all and used it to travel the world. I went to different countries until three years ago, I settled in Japan and got curious of my roots so I came here last year and that's where it all started. My freedom. . . I got it but when the chaos started. . . lets just say I got more than what I bargained for." She smiled a bit and ate again. Mainly, this whole frenzy is the reason why she was never able to go to her parents' funeral back in America. It's either she tries to leave dying or keep herself alive in hiding, and knowing that it is dangerous, Chaerin chose the latter, crying herself to sleep every night as she wallows in regret for not seeing them the very last time.

@Lee Chae Rin Jimin was surprised how normal it seemed for Chaerin to cook. In his group they barely had electricity to work with and they usually had to start a fire but he hadn't know that there were buildings with electricity and even running water. Honestly, he was impressed.
"That sounds painful," he said and his lips in worry. "It is sad, isn't it? How drastically the world changed and how dramatic everything turns out to be?"
How dangerous.

Slowly he nodded and sat down when Chaerin said he should and he smiled softly. "Thank you, really. This means a lot."
He wanted to give something back to her - even if it was not much, he wanted to. But he was a fighter, not someone who knew how to develop things or something.
"Let me know if I can help you, okay?"

"This, honestly, is a lot," Jimin said and smiled warmly. "It is my first proper meal in months as well."
Surely, they had enough food to be sated but it could never be compared to how they had eaten before.
"So, maybe your parents are alive?" he then asked and slowly stared eaten. His parents weren't, neither was his brother. But that was how life was, unfair and cruel.

@Park Jimin That question actually had Chaerin reminiscing her memories and how all of this made her stronger without anyone's help, making her feel proud of herself somehow. Being alone really does change someone in one way or another. Nodding to Jimin's question, Chaerin started to cook some rice and marinate some pork she already has. Not because she's living like a refugee, she's not entitled to having still complete meals other than those ready to eat ones. "Well, some of them ended badly. Others would just leave but the first time I encountered that situation, I ended having busted lips and a few bruises that it took me a week to heal since I was not used to it."

Letting the pork rest as she now re-hydrate some dried veggies she stocked up, she came up with simple side dishes for them. After frying the pork to a crisp, Chaerin fixed the small table and placed some rice on plastic bowls and the pork and veggies. "Nah. Just sit down and relax, I'm almost done anyway." She said and continued for half an hour more.

"This isn't much but I hope you like it. And mind you, this is my first proper meal for the month." She chuckled and sat down in front of Jimin. "Thank you for saying that, Jimin. It's been a while since I heard that from another person. Not even from my parents." She smiled softly, uttering a small prayer before she starts to dig in, feeling all of what they did taking a toll on her already. Living this life sure is tough and at the back of her head, she hopes that everything will be fine at the right time.

@Lee Chae Rin "That is quite a long time," Jimin said and frowned. He had been with someone for a long while, never really being alone. Surely, there had been days and weeks he had been going alone but in the end he always found someone to accompany him.
"Did it end dramatically? Like... you getting injured?"
He felt really worried for Chaerin. Wasn't it scary to be alone for so long?

"Yeah, I've met quite some s out there as well. People who want to use and abuse you," Jimin sighed and shook his head. Of course, he had a cute face so it was no wonder those people tried to play with him. Just that Jimin knew how to play these games a lot better. Or at least how to protect himself.
"Don't worry, if you are around me I won't let them hurt you," Jimin said softly and smiled at Chaerin, trying to cheer her up.

A soft chuckle left his plump lips when she said she was hungry.
"Food is always good," he hummed and nodded then.
"My eyes are pretty good with little light so it is fine. Thank you." He hummed and followed her. "Can I help you somehow?" Chaerin was already providing the food.

@Park Jimin Chuckling as Jimin cursed along side, Chaerin actually feels good that someone's here with her, sympathizing with how she feels towards those men, particularly the ed one. Being a woman and an alone one at that, despite her scary features, it doesn't isolate Chaerin from cases of manhandling and such ist moves. Hearing Jimin ask those questions made Chaerin look back the past year and how often it had happened.

"Well, I have been alone since last year. I came from America two years ago so I definitely had a glimpse for a year when everything was normal but after the chaos erupted, everything changed. It was really hard for me at first because I was used to things being available always but I've adjusted pretty well already. As for what happened earlier, I guess for the past year, say around. . . ten times already? Close to a dozen." Chaerin nodded and stepped one foot out after handling all her supplies.

Carefully stepping down, Chaerin pushed the wood with a metal rod to close it completely. Facing Jimin and going to her couch to flop down as being in that ceiling just had her back aching, she looked at him and continued. "And it's not just raiders looking for food. I've had men almost try to molest me. It's frightening because I had never experienced that. Before, when a man comes up to me, touches my shoulder and just ask me to come with him, I run away and cry but now, I pretty much shake them off with a threat, if that doesn't work, that's when my punching comes. I'm really not good into physical things but I can punch pretty well." Chaerin chuckled then got up. "Phew. That made me hungry. It's almost night. Would you like to have dinner here? Though we are going to eat with very minimal light, it's not that bad." She smiled and got up, walking back to her kitchen and checking the wall clock; four in the afternoon. That's just enough time to prepare something decent for both of them.

@Lee Chae Rin (Totally fine, it often forget to check as well :') so dont worry!)

For a second Jimin thought of shooting these men right in the head but that would be a waste of energy and bullets as well. Jimin would not risk that even though these disgusting people deserved that.
Just when he was sure that they were gone he nodded.
"Yes," he agreed to Chaerin and smiled slightly, carefully climbing down.
"You are right. these s, at least they did not get any supplies.

Jimin let Chaerin give her the supplies, quietly listening to the sounds around them. But the entire building was quiet so he was almost sure that these men were gone. Hopefully.
"At least we did not get injured, right?"
He smiled softly and looked around. There was nothing missing if he wasnt mistaken and that was good.

"How long have you been alone? Did that happen before?"
After all that could end up pretty badly. He did not want that.
Lee Chae Rin 8 years ago
@Park Jimin [] ! I should have checked. Sorry for the late reply T_T

"Lets make sure we survive this."

Those words registered on Chaerin's ears and her attention is back and fully on Jimin again. Smiling a bit, Chaerin just nodded. "We will. Don't worry too much. Been here, done that. Those men look stupid anyway. I mean, they look regular raiders. They won't find us." She assured him and everything fell quiet upon feeling the men quiet down too.

Everything seems to be on slow motion as the door knob of her apartment turned, signaling that someone is opening it and alas, the men had already gotten inside. Peeping from where they are, two of the men immediately checked her cupboards and got frustrated to find nothing. Chaerin kept a close watch on them and it made her blood boil as one opened her closet and took one of her underwear. "Dude, that's gross! Don't take that!" The ed man just laughed off.

"What? I haven't had for so long. At least let me have this." Her eyes rolled and she's suddenly aware that Jimin's seeing that. "Sorry. . . about that. that er." Chaerin muttered under her breath and until they were completely gone, her alert levels are still high. Seeing them leave with just her underwear, Chaerin waited for at least half an hour more before she opened the ceiling. "Go down first. I'll give the supplies to you and uhmm. . . I really hate high places so yeah, hold the chair for me when I get down." She chuckled to ease the awkwardness she feels.
Park Jimin 8 years ago
@Lee Chae Rin Hearing the men coming closer, Jimin nodded and helped Chaerin get some supplies up before he did his best and climbed inside. She was right. They might be equipped with strength but they were smarter. Hopefully. Jimin was no man of thoughts - he wasn't stupid, yes, and he had a good hard but his best were his fighting skills and how well he was with spotting danger. But right now that would not help them.

"Thanks," he whispered and looked at her, closing the hole in the ceiling with what had been there before. Darkness engulfed them.
"Lets make sure we survive this." If they were quiet enough, maybe these s would leave as soon as they had come.

Jimin looked at Chaerin, his own body tense. It had been a long while since he had been locked up like this. Usually he was in the open of it was only an infected person he had to fight but more or less facing raiders in such a caged room was something he hadn't had in a long while. Last time it had not ended well, for both sides.
When he heard them coming closer he almost held his breath, breathing as quietly as he could.

(sorry, somehow rpr did not show this to me D: )

@Park Jimin As the men near her apartment floor as she can now clearly hear them kicking doors inside the building, she placed the last of her supplies in the ceiling and pushed herself up. All throughout the year of hiding, Chaerin managed to teach herself how to do tricks and even plan for escape if such things happen. Feeling her heart sink down to her gut as the group of men close in, she then peeked out and watched Jimin rattle her table to make look messy, soon enough, she is leaning down and reaching out for him.

"Come up here. They may be equipped with the strength but one thing is for sure, we are smarter. Lets not fight them. If things get worse, I have an escape plan that won't require us to face them. Hurry!" Chaerin muttered, hand wiggling for the latter male to take it, with panic in her voice as the sound of their footsteps make her feel sick down to her core.

If there is one thing about being a quiet scouter is that she's still not used to these kinds of attacks and it scares the out of her to the point that she almost freezes but pushes herself to do what she had to. Back then when she was new to all this, she'll freeze on the spot and have a hard time breathing as well because of her asthma, but that was long ago. She had to be strong now, and not just for herself but also for Jimin who is helping her all the way through.
Park Jimin 8 years ago
@Lee Chae Rin „Yeah, sadly it has gotten quiet. Many did not make it.“ Jimin sighed quietly. At first there had been groups, raiders too, but month after month they had fallen apart. Jimin had seen it himself – his partners in crime had died, no matter how good he had gotten in fighting and what was left was the handful of group they now were. Barely any children had survived and no one dared to put a child into this world again. This world was not safe. Slowly but surely they would all die and rot away.

Quietly he ate the delicious sandwich – it tasted a lot better than anything he had eaten in a while, the juice was great as well. He usually had water and rice, it sated him and was edible but the taste was plain – he still was glad they had food. He was grateful for that, it was better than starving.

The moment Jimin heard it he tensed. He had just finished his food and dtink and immediately grabbed his weapon. Hewas a good fighter – no, a great fighter. From his spot he could see the men and he hissed. He had seen them before – raiders. He preferred everything and anything more than these guys.
He nodded and carefully handed Chaerin the bags, letting her lift them up. A good hideout as these guys hopefully werent the smartest. Strong but stupid.

„Hurry,“ he whispered and looked at the other. Now they were a team, right? He could hear the men kick ib one of the apartment doors a few levels below but it would not take them long to come here.
Jimin grabbed the cubs they had used and hit them in the deepest edge of a cupboard behind some other dusty stuff and the grabbed the tablecloth and let it look messed up, as if someone had checked for supplies in here.
Lee Chae Rin 8 years ago
@Park Jimin Nodding slowly as the latter confirmed what Chaerin said, the woman took a sip of her own juice and listened to the male while looking at him as he talks. "I know. I mean, I really don't hear anything anymore but I guess that's just what is bound to happen. Look at this city, everyone is so careful yet still frantic just to survive. I don't like that kind of. . . adrenaline. It will seriously break me inside out." She chuckled a bit and smiled as the latter thanked him.

"Sure. No problem, Jimin." Chaerin nodded and ate her own meal then continued after. "I'm Chaerin, by the way. And, if you need a place to stay, I can share my place too. It's not too shabby because I keep it in shape with what I could but yeah, it's really nice to talk to someone at times." The latter smiled, that soon enough faded as she heard commotion just outside.

"Wait here. . ." She frowned, alert system in her body fully on by now as she turns off everything inside her place and kept it dark. Going beside the window, and peeking through the curtains, Chaerin saw three men walk inside the building they are in, making her mutter a curse. ". Seems like you're now not the only one who had interest in this place." Chaerin spoke and immediately took her supplies in the cupboards that are all in a bag just in case an attack like this happens.

"Hey, help me up. I need to do something and follow me after." She whispered and using the light from the lamp the second the parts the curtains to let in some light, Chaerin got on her stool and pushed the part of the ceiling and placed in two bags up. "Pass me up the remaining bags, please." Chaerin could feel her heartbeat reverberate against her chest and it is not a good sign, plus the fact that she can hear the men coming up. Either she lets them get all of her supply or try dying and she's not going to choose any of those. Survival is her top priority and it still is.
Park Jimin 8 years ago
@Lee Chae Rin (Dont worry about it! =) )

"Kind of," Jimin said while sitting down and looking at her, tilting his head a bit. "Supplies are low everywhere so I thought why not? It was on the way and I did find some stuff so... yeah." He shrugged a bit and rubbed his neck. It was good to hear that the other had enough supplies but that did not mean anything to Jimin - he did not steal from other people. Even though the law in this world was already run down, he was no one to steal or kill people that were just like him - lost souls.
That was for the raiders.

"Thank you for the food and the drink," he said and smiled softly. "My name is Jimin, by the way."
He still had manners, even though to many it did not mean anything. Jimin wanted to be a good human, he had seen too many bad things already and even though it meant nothing to others, to him it meant quite a lot.
Lee Chae Rin 8 years ago
@Park Jimin [] SLR ;;

Seeing that the latter male is still trying to show her that he's not going to attack her in any way, Chaerin smiled a bit by now to also show him that she's fine with this now. "I really don't mind sharing. I've been here for a year without trouble. I have supplies more than others and I can totally share a sandwich and a glass of juice and well, it's been a year since I talked to someone. So I am kind of glad that you barged in." Chaerin grinned softly and sat down the stool across the latter male.

"So. . . how did you end up in this part of the city? People barely come here because everyone knows that this building had been raided months ago, main reason why I hid here after keeping a low profile and eye on this place. You just followed your guts to come in here?" Chaerin asked, curiosity full as this is her first encounter as close as this with another human, keeping her eyes on the latter male as she takes a bite off her own sandwich.
Park Jimin 8 years ago
@Lee Chae Rin (okay! It looks small but so nice as well x3)

Jimin lifted his hands to show he really had no bad intentions.
"If I had known someone was inside, I wouldn't have barged in like that," he said as a kind of apology. It was true. If he had known this apartment belonged to someone, entering like this would have been something he wouldn't have done.

"I am sorry," he then said before Chaerin said he should sit down.
"Uhm... I am fine," he said but she had already gotten juice and a sandwich out for him. He had to admit that he hadn't eaten a lot today and that, maybe, he really should eat a bit but oh well.

"Are you sure? You really do not need to share with me." He blinked confused. He did not want to take her supplies away - yes, this world was heartless and reckless but Jimin was not. He had tried to keep being fair in this world, even though sometimes it was pretty hard. But up to now it had worked well, luckily.

The second Chae Rin heard that the latter is looking for supplies, her ears perked up and she's alert more than ever. She scouted for so long and cannot afford to lose any of the supplies she had. She knows how it feels to have what you worked for be stolen and today isn't going to be that day.

"You could have at least stayed to know if someone is here or not. And did you just say supplies? I don't have any, if that is what you are here for. Well, I do but only enough for me. If you take another step and try to take anything away from me, hell will break lose. . ." Chaerin warned in a cold tone yet she noticed his gesture of letting that weapon on his arm down.

"You won't harm me? I hope that's the truth. . ." She trailed off, walked past the man and closed the door behind him, locking it securely once again with the three locks she installed on the door that she forgot to close earlier. Going to the kitchen, Chaerin tiptoes to open the cabinet up the sink and took out cups. "Sit down. I'll give you something to drink and eat. I hope you don't mind having some juice and sandwich." She said with her monotone voice and expressionless face by now.

@Lee Chae Rin Never had Jimin thought that someone would be in here, especially not when the entire building had been so empty. With wide eyes he looked at the woman, almost stumbling back. What the ? He hadn't expected to find anyone in here. For a moment he thought it might be an infected but she looked so real, so human and normal and for a long moment Jimin's heart stopped. Someone had survived this mess.

"Looking for supplies," he replied a little confused before he got back on earth, pulling himself together.
"I... I didn't expect anyone was here. I am sorry."
He bowed and took a shaky breath. This was a little confusing, overwhelming, maybe. It had been quite some time since he had last met another surviver aside from his own group.

Jimin wasn't sure what to do now. He let his weapon sink so the woman would not expect him to attack anytime soon - of course Jimin would not. How could he? They were both human, werent they? And they were no enemies, not at all.
"I won't harm you," he then said softly.
Lee Chae Rin 8 years ago
@Park Jimin It's been a year since Chae Rin had come to this city but not a single day goes by without her hating her life right now yet she's left with no choice but to stay. Seoul was so different from when she came here back then. Everything seemed perfect for her the moment she had step foot into the bustling city but everything changed as the infection started. Chaos broke into the land that was once on top of the world. Heaving out a deep breath and laying down her couch, Chaerin now had succumbed to be a scouter. Though she can say that she's one lazy , she has no choice but to hone again those years in training judo back in America where she came from before migrating back to Korea after her parents death.

Sitting up properly, Chaerin stared at her turned off television set then stood up to peek through the curtain that is heavily covering her window. Everything is still the same. Smoke covers the city, cars are stagnant and people are nowhere to be found. She's already developing this anxiety and depression but she must keep her sanity close and intact or she'll soon break like the others.

Trying to put her thoughts aside, Chaerin decided to fix herself a meal in this lone decent apartment in this almost run down building. Heating up some meat in her microwave and ready to be eaten rice, Chaerin mixed it in a bowl and made herself some decent bibimbap on the spot. Placing it back in the microwave for later. Moving forth and taking a shower, she's already sitting in her dining area that can be seen as well since she lives in a studio type apartment when the door suddenly bursts open. Her food almost tumbled out of the bowl as she stood up immediately out of fear and reflex. "W-Who are you?! What the are you doing here in my apartment?!" She questioned with authority, eyes fixated on the man who's now standing on her door, heart racing as she becomes suddenly alert of everything around her, especially this man.

@Kim Taeyeon A small sound escaped Jimin's lips as he kept running. He was glad for his fast reflexes, otherwise he would have been lying on the ground already. Taking a shaky breath he kept up with the woman. He had small legs but therefore he was fast, in primary school he had been one of the fastest as well and this had never changed.

"Who are you?" he asked breathily but then he heard the woman's words and frowned. Oh great. Zombies. He hissed and nodded when she asked if he had a weapon. Of course. Whoever lived in this world without weapons was probably already sentenced to death. He took a shaky breath in and gripped his sword - one of his rather new acquisitions and one of the sharpest as well. Also he had had years to learn how to use the weapons that were available so this was easy.

"I do," he said and then started fighting the creatures. He felt sorry. Once they had been humans, just like them. Sane and normal and happy until the virus had taken them away with force. And with that he cut one of the zombie's heads off. He would not let them bite them.
Kim Taeyeon 8 years ago
@Park Jimin "Keep up." Taeyeon urged as the male staggered with his footing. His quick recovery suggested that he was younger than herself, and she mentally hoped he wouldn't become deadweight during her getaway. She had no clue where the pair of them were heading at this moment in time. Perhaps she had been here before the outbreak of the virus. The buildings enclosing them were littered with overgrown greenery to the point of being unrecognisable after all.

She could feel her thighs aching for a break by now. In the wild, it was easier to lose a horde of infected. The soft grass there often cushioned the beating of footsteps enough to escape. But here in the ruins of the city, the pummel of beat up boots against gravel was like waving a red flag at a bull. Taeyeon's hand was still wrapped around the stranger's wrist, tugging him around the corner once they reached the end of the alley, only to skid to an abrupt halt. Lurking in the shadows, about sixty metres ahead of them were another smaller group of infected.

"Great.. Just great." She scoffs bitterly. Her fingers released their hold of her temporary companion in favour of the newly acquired baseball bat that stuck out from her backpack. She had hoped to test out the bat but she never anticipated it to be so soon. Keeping her eyes focused on the incoming danger she swung the bat back to lay across the junction of her neck like a batting stance, "I hope you have a weapon.”
Park Jimin 8 years ago
@Kim Taeyeon It was a surprisingly clear day, barely any clouds were covering the sky and therefore Jimin had decided to make his way to a part of the town he usually did not go to. Most part of it was covered in plants, growing through every possible material – breaking metal apart, cracking the hard rocks of the houses, blooming through wood. Some buildings had long collapsed, others were still there, halfway rotten. One could clearly see that this town had long been abandoned.

The young striker did his best to be quiet and careful – back as a child he had always felt safe and sound in the buildings but now it was a hideout for infected. One second you were alone, the next they stood only half a meter away, ready to dig their rotten teeth into the skin.
Jimin had learned a lot during the last years and he knew how to fight and kill. In this world you either knew how to fight or you were already damned.

Jimin had finished his trip, he had found a few supplies and other useful things and was on his way back. He had stopped in a rather narrow alley to check where he should go when suddenly he heard footsteps. Before he could turn around someone had already grabbed his wrist and was dragging him along. Almost Jimin had kissed the ground by stumbling over his own feet but luckily he was fast and flexible enough to react and started running.
“What the-“ he asked before he heard the creatures not too far behind them. What the actual ?
Kim Taeyeon 8 years ago
@Park Jimin With quiet footsteps, Taeyeon was slowly making her way around raiding a random high school that has long been abandoned. She was strangely hopeful that she would be able to loot something useful from such an establishment. But so far, she’s only picked up an aluminium baseball bat from the storage room of what she assumed used to be the gymnasium. Most of the classrooms had already been previously ransacked and nothing left was worth the small amount of space she had left in her backpack. A set of double doors barred shut with a metal rod caught her attention. Thinking that the room held another person’s precious supplies, Taeyeon wrapped her small hands around the rusted bar and tugged it from it’s position between the door handles.

“.” She cursed under her breath. The metal bar fell from her hands as her legs sprang into action towards the exit of the school. The sound of the bar meeting the ground echoed down the corridor causing the group of infected after the girl. With a twist of her head, she saw the swarm pursuing her and dashed in a random direction when she made it onto the roads. She made a sharp turn into an alley, hoping that she was fast enough to lose them. She didn’t have the confidence to check, and the pounding of her heart was too loud for her to hear if they were still on her tail.

Upon reaching a more residential area of the city, Taeyeon surveyed her surroundings. She spotted a lone figure in the distance, facing away from her. Unfortunately, the figure showed no signs of noticing her even as she approached. A quick flick of her head confirmed that the persistent savages were still behind her. She clutched onto the stranger’s wrist harshly as she passed and pulled him along with her, muttering a single word between her soft pants. “Run.”

@Jeon Jungkook Bang! The sound of a gun shot went off in a building right across from Mei on the bottom floor. How did she not see anyone go in? But then again she had been lying down for a moment just now. She saw a dog running in the building avoiding the blind walkers and instantly drank the juice of the peaches before throwing on her gas mask and grabbed her sling shot from her bag and fire it at the window saving the dog.

Mei grabbed her thing and took a few steps back before running and jumping across the building to the next and quietly runs down the buildings stares stabbing the infected that were in the way in the head as she passed through. She saw the person running right for her and immediately grabs him. "Shut up." She whispered before grabbing a broken piece of the building and grabs her slingshot and aims it right at the window away from them, the sound of the window shattering stopping the running infected in their tracks and turns away to run that direction.

@Jin Mei Xin That something happened. Jungkook made the mistake of forcing open the storage room door once he'd been unable to find anything useful on the store floor. It'd been barred for a reason, keeping down hordes of infected that turned when they heard the loud noise. He froze, his steps going still. Luckily, the infected were blind with enhanced sense of smell for blood and heightened sound.

And they were fast, some of them. A few rushed towards the door, leaving him to hurry back and order Seagull to rush outside of the shop. She'd been able to lead the way down each aisle, bounding over broken, smashed and tattered produce, while he was left to rush and past abandoned and tipped over shopping cards. Only one was at his heel. He hated using firearms because of the noisiness, however he pointed the semi-automatic that had been tucked beneath his waistband right at the infected's face. Clicking off the glock's safety, he fired straight through its temple and hurried away before the others followed the sound and caught up.

@Jeon Jungkook It had only been a month since Mei had stopped her search for her 'friend' to be honest she couldn't tell the difference between a friend and an acquaintance anymore considering the situation that everyone who's trying to survive is stuck in. She was sitting on top of a building with a black gas mask that her father used to own, it was an HC81 half faced gas mask that protected her from the harsh and harmful air surrounding them.

Well it wasn't so harmful but it definitely was hard to breathe in. She had her hoodie on, her long black hair fell over her shoulders as she took off her bag and used it as a pillow. She laid back her legs hanging from off the roof and her head on her book bag that had her weapons and resources she had found from her round in the city.

She was a pretty good at what she needed to be good at, at first when her dad started to teach her the things she was good at now she thought it'd be useless and would never be used in the future... how wrong was she. Her mother, a vet, being a stealthy and good at reserving food and getting along with nature when need be. Her father a military sergeant with experience with close and ranged combat and had very good aim with any firearm he held.

Forcing all that on the poor girl, some would think it was brutal and it was! but she was happy because she got to live on when they couldn't. Getting a little hungry she s her book bag and pulled out a can of peaches and as quietly as she could popped the lid open. It stirred some activity but nothing to horrifying, removing her mask she eats the peaches silently waiting for something to happen.

Jungkook had grown all too accustomed to the great stench of death that mingled with the muggy humidity which strangled the atmosphere. Rotted flesh, backed up sewage, pollution, heat and the aftermath from the nuclear attack which left radiation buzzing in the area, were enough to leave anyone with an unforgivable tightness in their lungs.

Jungkook kept a surgical mask, once used as a fashion statement, to fight off the toxic air and harmless pollen that particularly clouded the once bustling streets of Seoul. He'd opted to tread carefully in search of supplies -the streets left barren. But like an infestation of bed bugs during the daytime, no infected walker roamed the streets. No one. Nothing.

He knew better. He knew better than to make noise, draw attention to himself and even as much as let off a single gunfire no matter how empty and abandoned the place looked. 'They' were hiding until they found food, and until even the smallest shatter of glass would send them running. He kept himself equipped after traveling to the place from Busan, having walked there by foot, to look for a source of food. There was only so much he and his companion could live on with a few tiny squirrels shared between a man and a wolf.

From first glance, there didn't seem to be anything at all left over, and going down aisle to aisle of the nearest grocery store was proof enough. The shelves had been piked bone dry, or the foods that were sent crashing onto the floor had been rotted and trampled from the chaos.
