There wasn't much to look at. Not when it came to Byun Baekhyun, and not when it came to this town. But to him, it was like entering a world made of colors. The hospital walls were painted in light greens and yellows and sometimes a streak of red in the ER, but to him, everything was white. His lab coat was white, his scrubs were white, his dress shirt was white. It was like he was covered by a blanket of snow, a world without sounds even though he was surrounded by noises all the time. Beeping, talking, the rustling of paper. In here, the world was different. There were colors, smells, sounds - everything so entirely different from what he had come to accept and adapt as his own reality. If Byun Baekhyun would be honest with himself, the world outside of the hospital was strange. And this town had grown unfamiliar to him. Had he been away for so long? That nothing felt like home to him anymore? How many times had he wandered these corridors with a class of chattering students, friends and family? So, so many times. Then why did everything feel strange to him now? Maybe, he thought to himself while slipping onto a bench by a wall, looking at old black and white photographs of the founders of this town, maybe he was just growing detached from this town? Maybe he was growing tired of living a never ending loop waking up to the smell of pancakes and syrup, the voices of his parents and the sounds of birds outside of his window. He didn't know. All Baekhyun really wanted and wished for was a kind of breeze in his life. Something sweeping him off of his feet and breaking through the loop he had built for himself. Something to shake him awake again.
