@(b) Bambam "I don't know how you put up with kids all the time, Bam. They're like little monsters, crying and whining all the time- it's tiring." He complained as the two made their way back up towards their apartment. Just dealing with one for such a short period of time, granted that Bambam had done all the work, was stressful enough for Mark. After shutting the door behind himself, he entered the kitchen as well, plopping down in the nearest seat. "Anything, really. I'm just starving." He whined, leaning across the table with arms stretched and leaning his cheek on the cool surface. "Kinda in the mood for some stir-fry though." He mumbled as an afterthought, trying to suppress the grumbling of his stomach.
@(b) Mark Bambam laughed and looked down at the tired beta who seemed completely drained of energy he might of had for that day. "Of course, you know I am great negotiating." He smiled, it was one of his best traits being sassy and also having a way with his words. "You are off for the rest of the day and I just have to bring him food later today which isn't that difficult." Bambam laughed and hugged the other back, "Yes, but I don't mind hearing more about it." he laughed and held his hand pulling him back to their dorm. "What do you want to eat?" He asked as they reached their dorm and Bambam headed to the kitchen to figure out what they had to eat.
@(b) Bambam Once the parents of the child showed up to take the little boy home, not after showing their gratitude, at least one of Mark's worries were now over and done with. No more crying little boy to worry about. The suddenly drained beta lifted his gaze to see his packmate hovering over him with an outstretched hand. He brightened up at the mention of a day off, eyes widened with slight surprise. "Wait, seriously?" He blinked a few times before absentmindedly placing his hand in the offered one. "Have I mentioned how much I love you?" A wide grin spread across his lips once the information sunk in, and Mark was quick to wrap his arms around the younger male's neck instead with a laugh. "Seriously, you're the best!" And just like that, he no longer felt so tired, and instead, rather energized. "Now, how about that lunch?"
@(b) Mark Bambam laughed and smiles watching the kid now occupied with the bag of cookies in front of him forgetting about being lost for the time being. It was interesting how kids were always able to just forget things without worry at this age. He would probably remember this when he was old and laugh about the two men freaking over the lost child. He walked over and went to talk to the other guard about maybe letting mark off for the rest of the day. After explaining what happened and offering to make him lunch too the younger succeeded. Walking back over he smiled seeing the parents arrive and run to their now pacified child. They thanked Mark who was slumping in his chair from the exhausting experience. Bambam walked over and held out his hand to Mark, "Want to come back to the dorm? I got you the day off."
@(b) Jungkook *frowns at your blatant lie to my face and scoffs*
Do you think I'm stupid?
*steps more to the side when you turn your head from me and leans down to your level to get a better look at your face, my hand coming out once again to remove the scarf that's covering your face*
Wow what a little liar
*shakes my head and crosses my arms once more as I listen to the announcement*
I can't believe this
I take time to help you the other day and you're still being this way?
You made me feel like afterwards you know that right ?
I even contemplated in apologizing but that just flew out the ing window didn't it?
*clicks my tongue a few times before signing*
I forgive you though
@(b) Bambam Children will always remain a mystery to Mark, but luckily for him, he had a packmate that actually knew how to handle them, specialized in it. He was just grateful that they, mostly Bambam, were able to calm the kid and get the waterworks to stop before someone else jumped to conclusions that involved Mark possibly getting arrested or something. He nodded at his fellow beta's wise words, hopefully actually absorbing them for future reference. But, no, he was certain this would never happen again.
Mark was relieved to hear that the snack would cheer up the little tot, gratefully taking up the younger beta's suggestion of taking a seat. The soothing rubbing motions against his back helped calm down the ruffled beta, who immediately slumped down in the chair with a dramatic sigh, letting his head fall forward with a loud thud as his forehead met the table in front of him. "I wasn't scared. And at least I know how to keep my tears in!" He grumbled in spite, pouting to himself. "Really? You'll get me replaced /and/ make me food?" Mark lit up, head turning to the side so his cheek was pressed against the table instead, hopeful grin on his lips. He was left to his own devices for the time being as Bambam talked on the phone, occasionally stealing glances at the young boy. Listening to the conversation on the other side of the room, he let out a relieved breath upon hearing that the parents of the kid actually picked up and were on their way. "Okay..the sooner they get here the better."
@(b) Mark BamBam laughed and sighed seeing how Mark reacted to the child. It was pretty hard for people to understand children. The elder wasn't the only one to be like that. The younger always thought it was weird that he became a day care teacher since many of his kind couldn't handle them. Maybe it was the fact that he could never have children that made him want to take care of one. But he was too young to think that way right? He got out of his thoughts and smiled when the child stopped crying and was finally relaxed. "They cry because they don't know how to communicate fully. It's like when dogs bark a lot. It's because they can't say exactly what they want."
Bambam laughed and smiled looking at the child that Mark saw as the enemy of mankind. "Cookies will be fine since he is sad these should cheer him up." Bambam walked over and put an arm around the other rubbing his back as he would do with a child. "He is just scared just like you are right now. How about you sit down? Take a break and I will talk and get you replaced. Then we can go upstairs and I will make you something to eat?" He smiled then went back to the child and got the information he needed. Bambam called the parents who screamed over the phone they were on their way. "Now all we need to do is wait okay?" he said to both of them as if he was dealing with two kids.
@(b) Jungkook *crosses my arms over my chest and lets my eyes fall shut as I allow my head to rest against the wall while I patiently wait or my floor to be reached*
*let's a low hum pass my lips, my eyes cracking open after a short while before my gaze instantly falls onto your face in the quick moment you've turned around*
*narrows my eyes a bit as I eye you, attempting to get a better look when the elevator suddenly stops moving*
What the hell..
*mumbled to myself as I glance up at the display of floor numbers *
Damnit
*steps over to your side and begins pressing each floor number in attempt to get the elevator moving again*
*sighs out deeply when the elevator stays frozen and leans against the doors causing me to be directly in front of you*
*gives you a brief once over before reaching my hand out and pulling your scarf from over your face*
No wonder it stopped
You bring all of the bad luck don't you ?
@(b) Bambam In the few minutes it took for Bambam to arrive, Mark had to deal with the wailing kid, near tears himself as he tried to get the little one to stop. "Thank God!" He groaned in exasperation when a familiar voice was heard from behind him. "You're a fu-- a frickin' life saver. I don't know what to do, the little monster just waltzed right in screaming his head off! You know I'm no good with the little tykes." He flailed his arms about as the other beta made his way over to the still crying child. Mark was just glad to have the situation out of his own hands. As Bambam was able to calm the young thing, Mark stayed completely silent, watching in slight awe as the younger managed to make the crying stop. Finally, some peace and quiet! He mentally rejoiced in his mind, thankful that his already throbbing head wouldn't suffer any more damage.
The mention of food had Mark's own stomach growling, and with a quick glance at the wall clock, it was his lunch break already. Great, just wonderful. The other guard must've taken over his post by now yet here he was, spending his break taking care of a whining baby. Mark rubbed his thumb and forefinger against the bridge of his nose, trying to stop the oncoming migraine. He let out a groan and nodded his head in agreement, letting his shoulders slump with a heavy sigh. "Right, food. What does he eat? The heads of his enemies?" Grumbling childishly, Mark grabbed for the packet of cookies he'd brought with him as a snack for later. Well, at least the kid stopped crying. "Here, give him these for now. Kids like cookies, right?" He asked in defeat as he ran a hand through his hair. "Can't ask 'em too many questions, got it. Ugh, I'm feeling awful. I didn't sign up for this! It's not every day we get crying and screaming tiny beings entering this place. I feel like my head is going to explode!" He whined, complaining to his packmate and roomie.
@(o) Youngjae "Sick?" Mark repeated with worry, itching to help the omega and comfort him, take care of him. The only thing stopping him was the fact that he didn't know what to do. The beta stiffened in his seat when Youngjae pointed out the fact that he'd sat further away. "I, uh.." He stuttered, clearing his throat when the single syllable came out more as a croak instead. "It was the closest seat?" He tried, obviously failing. Of course Youngjae would notice he purposely sat in that particular seat, but he couldn't just tell him that his scent was affecting Mark like this. "I'm fine, right here. Mhm." He muttered, making a show of getting comfortable on his chosen couch. His eyebrows twitched as the scent only seemed to grow stronger and the close proximity was certainly not helping. He only realized that maybe, as the only one around at the moment, he should actually be trying to help the omega and not worrying about himself right now. Gosh, it's not all about you, he mentally face palmed before getting up and taking the seat right beside the omega, trying so desperately to not let the sickeningly sweet smell affect him any more than it already had. "I'm sorry, Youngjae. I'm just a little...out of it, I guess. Where are you feeling sick, hm? How can hyung help?" He shifted his body so he was fully facing the younger now, expression focused on whatever his packmate needed.
@(b) Jungkook Of course I don't have any need to help you
Why don't you stop complaining about it and just accept it?
*frowns just as you do and scoffs*
It would be very much an inconvenience if you died with me around
Do you know how much of my precious time would be waisted getting questioned by the police?
*pulls away from you and looks at you with a deep scowl*
Fine
Just make sure you don't up any one else's day alright ?
*shakes my head at you before starting down the hall again*
_ _
*steps into the elevator once the doors open and leans against the wall comfortably as I wait for them to close but just before they do you walk in*
*let's out a sigh for the umpteenth time and stands silently, not yet taking notice of who you are yet as we begin to move up floors*
@(b) Mark Bambam tossed and turned in bed tired from the previous restless nights of worrying about work and his life which could make anyone stressed really. He closed his eyes and hummed to himself trying to fall asleep but by the power of whatever was up there his phone began ringing off the hook. He looked down tilting his head seeing it was Mark which made him curious. The other wasn't one to call especially not early in the morning so this was either a dial or something happened during work. Bambam's instincts kicked in and he picked up the phone knowing it was more likely the latter. Mark really didn't have the to dial. He answered and his eyes widened hearing the piercing cry of a child through the phone. Listening closely he heard Mark who was about to lose it with the scared child. "Alright, okay I'm coming just don't overwhelm them okay?"
He nodded and put on some clothes as he headed downstairs to find Mark with the scared child. "Thank god you called me because anyone else would have had you arrested." He walked over and knelt down smiling seeing the child, "Hi, I am BamBam." he smiled, "Funny name, right? They call me bambam because my name is too hard." BamBam and smiled as the child asked why and he told him his real name making the child giggle. "Weird right? You should tell my parents that." When the child nodded BamBam picked him up and smiled up at him, "Now where are you, parents?" The child then explained he got lost from the park nearby. "Okay, well why don't we get you something to eat and then we will figure out what to do next."
BamBam sat the child down and walked over to Mark, “Let's get him some food and then I will see if he knows his parent's phone number. You can’t ask them too many questions because then they get overwhelmed and scared.” He smiled and patted Mark’s shoulder, “How are you feeling? Didn’t expect this so early in the morning hmm.”
@(b) Bambam Another day of this rather boring yet tiring job of his, but there weren't many other options Mark had. With a loud yawn, he stretched and hit his clenched fist against his shoulder. It was seemingly easy anyway, just having to watch out for any suspicious lurkers or anything like that. The security guard just hoped he could have another peaceful day at work, not have any trouble show up. Oh, could he have been more wrong. In came this small child, bawling his eyes out as he pushed in the doors. Mark grimaced at the snotty nosed kid making his way over, causing quite the fuss with his loud sobs. At this point, Mark wanted to cry too, running on less than 3 hours that morning and now having to deal with a crying kid. As far as he knew, the tenants in this building surely didn't have kids, or at least hoped not; they were all reasonable young fellows that he'd be surprised that they had a small tot running around.
Well, a job's a job, and this was Mark's. Bracing himself, he approached the tiny being and crouched down, having no idea how to stop the kid's loud siren-like wailing. "Hey, kid. You alright? Where are your parents? What are you doing here all by yourself?" He ran off question after question, not stopping to wait for any answer for the previous before shooting off the next. The beta should've known better than to overwhelm a crying child with so many questions, from a stranger no less! A low groan rumbled in the back of his throat as the wails just got louder. Oh, great, just his luck! Mark cursed under his breath and wiped his palms down the front of his slacks before fishing out his phone from his pocket.
There was absolutely no way could he deal with this. He had to get the only person he knew could handle such a situation. It was his expertise if Mark might add. Without a moment's hesitation, he scooped the tiny being into his arms and brought the kid into the break room, away from the public's view. What would they think of him? A child abuser! He quickly dialed the number of that person, waiting for the three rings and a click before speaking into the receiver, out of breath even if he only sprinted the short distance from one room to the next. "I need your help!" He whisper-yelled into the receiver, trying to be heard over the crying that just keeps getting louder by the second. "Can you come down to the lobby? I think I'm gonna go crazy if you're not here in the next five minutes."
@(b) Jungkook Exactly
Now you've learned not to be careless from now on
*makes a move to wipe beneath your nose when you suddenly push my hand aside, causing my
eyebrows to inch together once more at your action*
Don't touch you?
*scoffs and stands up from my kneeling position as I shove the napkin back into my pocket*
Is this how you treat someone that's trying to clean the disgusting tears from your face?
*watches you as you start to stand and instantly takes notice of your shaky legs*
Wow..
*shakes my head in disbalif*
Honestly I could just let you struggle from here on out but look at you ...
*grabs hold of your arm to help you steady yourself and looks over your face carefully *
It looks like you're about to fuking die
*brigs my hand up to place on your forhead before rolling my eyes*
You're really waisting my time here
*lifts your free arm up until it drapes over my shoulders and slowly begins to walk*
I'll take half of the blame for your carelessness so I'll take you to your room I we're even
I wouldn't want you to die here and cause more trouble than you already have
Do where's your room?
@(b) Jungkook *steps away from the painting as you reach to pick it up, a deep frown still etched on my face as I eye your movements *
*looks over the broken canvas for a moment before looking over at you, my eyes narrowing in the slightest when I catch sight of your sunken expression and tear filled eyes*
*let's out yet again another deep sigh and brings my hand up to card though my hair*
That wasn't impotant was it?
*crouched down text to you and snatches the painting from you to get a better look at it*
What?
You think I should buy you another one for your carelessness?
*places the painting back down before reaching my hand out to take your chin between my fingers*
Should you really a crying right now?
This was your fault
*scowl at you before pulling out a napkin from my jacket pocket and bringing it to wipe at the corner of your eyes gently*
Maybe now this will teach you a lesson..
@(b) Jungkook *walks down the corridor of the lobby with my phone in hand, scrolling though any unread messages and emails I have*
*let's out a deep sigh as I turn the corner to the next hall when suddenly feeling myelf bumping into somone, causing m my phone to fall from my hand and into the floor*
Damnit
*my brows furrow deeply as I look over at you *
Are you ing blind?
*makes a move to grab my phone, my foot coming down on the painting in the process *
What the hell?
*glances down to see what I'm stepping on, my foot dragging across the canves in attempt to remove the cloth from over it, my mind still not processing what it is*
God why don't you try being more careful?
@(o) Youngjae The scent was getting stronger by the second, and usually, Mark could handle himself. However, this was one of his pack's omegas. He only realizes now that he's only this affected by an omega he cares about. He thought he could handle it, thinking it wasn't any different from how he took care of any other omega that randomly went into heat, but even just being beside Youngjae was driving his senses crazy. "Anytime, Youngjae. Just hang in there, okay?" He struggled to comfort the younger, taking a deep breath in an attempt to calm himself down as well. Before the elevator doors can even fully open, Mark is already yanked out by the surprisingly strong omega, or maybe it was just the urgency to get inside the safety of their apartment. "How are you holding up?" He asked after shaking the haze from his clouded mind and offering a small smile, taking the seat furthest away from the omega.
@(o) Youngjae The gentle tug at his shirt startles Mark out of his thoughts. He'd been thinking of what to eat the second they reached their apartment. He turns to his left to listen to what his companion wants only to be hit with such a strong, sweet smell. It messes with his senses. Before he can lose them completely, he needs to take care of the omega before the scent becomes even more overwhelming. "Don't worry, Youngjae, I got you." He mutters softly, soothingly, then he's wrapping a strong arm around the latter's waist. "Come on, can you walk?" He has to fully support the omega as he feels him slump against his body. With quick movements, Mark manages to get the both of them to the elevators, nearly smashing the up button. It feels like a hour by the time it reaches the lobby, hauling the younger into the elevator and pressing the button for their floor. He just hopes they can get inside their apartment before anything else happens.
@(o) Woozi Jimin walked up to the only other person standing in the lobby, sniffing him out as a fellow omega. "Hey, can I ask you a question?" he said, perhaps encroaching too much on the other's personal space. "How do you deal with that feeling you get when an alpha passes by? Because sometimes it's just insane. And then heats come around, and ruts and all that jazz.. I'm Jimin, by the way, its nice to meet you." His voice trailed off at the end, mentally slapping himself for rambling.
