The Penumbra Hideout

@∞ kim junmyeon "That was the last time you saw them?" He nodded back to look at him. It was always sad hearing that. That meant the other didn't make it. Disapointing really... Taemin continues and then opening a manhole cover. He climbed down and turn on a flashlight. He waited for Junmyeon and walked. They soon came to a open cavern where water used to flow, but no longer did. It had a few beds, some storage space, and that was about it.

@∞ lee taemin "Ive been in the same boat if I'm completely honest. Been alone for quite some time. I've helped who I could but there was definitely some times when I needed to be on my own." He said nodding understanding completely. "Last time I saw someone I knew it was before all this stuff." He said with a grin. He nodded he started following after him. He readied his crossbow just in case as the man followed the other.

@∞ kim junmyeon "I've been alone sadly," Taemin said with some regret in his voice. He peered over the side of the railing at the ground below. it was empty. An empty street. Tonight he was lucky to meet Junmyeon. This wasn't the story every day. " You see, I had a few others who would occasionally help and i'd help them. They... didn't want to stick around each other as often as they should have. I haven't seen any familiar face in months." He looked back at Junmyeon. "You're smarter than they were. I can't survive by myself, you can't either. We are only human in a world of monsters. Help me, help you. That's the only way we can restore anything that we had before." Taemin descended down the fire escape back to the wet ground below. "Follow me and I will show you where to find me usually." That was when Taemin placed his machine gun back in his hands and started back the way he came. Whether Junmyeon was going to follow or not."

@∞ lee taemin "Ah so basically you want someone to sit here and to shoot down anyone who tries to break in right? Sort of like a....what's a good word for it.....compatriot in arms sort of thing. Someone you can trust to keep the area safe." he said with a simple nod hoistering his crossbow across his back. "It's not safe doing this job alone..." he said softly. "You're going to get your killed.

@∞ kim junmyeon "That's right," Taemin slid his gun back in the straps so he didn't have to hold it the entire time. "It would remain this way If I had 'friends' who would be willing to help me keep this street secure." What he was saying was an offer, but also a warning. Telling Junmyeon that he was indeed keeping this safe by himself. He didn't have help, but he was doing what he was doing alone. Meaning, he prided himself for his accomplishments.

@∞ lee taemin "I guess I'll have to keep that in mind next time I may need to come through this area." he said. That was probably the longest sentence he's spoken in years. It was normally 'Yep,' 'Nope,' or 'Perhaps.' Perhaps was probably one of Junmyeon's favorite words in the world to say. He had no idea what was happening or why there was this truce happening but he was glad, he didn't want to kill anyone today, and the man did seem cordial enough. "It's only secure because I walked in on your territory isn't it?" he asked pretty sure that he was right but there weren't any complaints neither of them were going to die today. At least he hoped not.

@∞ kim junmyeon "No, I understand." Taemin had always been alone. He couldn't remember the last time he had talked to anyone that he was going to talk to again. Most of the time when he met someone, they weren't someone he wanted to have a chat with. "Well Junmyeon.. it isn't walking the streets alone. Not at this hour. But this way is pretty secure. You shouldn't have to worry about it too much."

@∞ lee taemin Junmyeon simply nodded he wasnt one who just jumped on someones bandwagon. On the çontrary. He was not on the all for one and one for all sort of thing. But here he was just letting everyone know he was there. His crossbow missing three arrows it was worth it knowing that who he had his scuffle with was quite the formidable opponent. "My names Kim Junmyeon, I'm actually not sure how I ended up here. Sometimes I just walk...." He said. "I'm sorry for shooting first. I travel by myself so I always look out for danger."

@∞ kim junmyeon Taemin lowered his gun, to where it was pointing to the ground. "You seem like a decent man. I think we can agree on something." Lowering first meant that he was agreed a disadvantage. It meant that he could easily be shot at. Not so easily killed.. or at least that hats what Taemin hoped. Taemin, however, never removed his fingers from that hats he trigger, just incase. And he would remain like thathatshehis until the other also lowerd. "I'm Lee Taemin. And I don't want to fight."

@∞ lee taemin Junmyeon looked at the man skeptical of the thought of putting his bow down but he did and simply nodded. He didn't want any trouble with the other man especially when he has a damn machine gun. He still wasn't sure if he was ready to talk to him. He wasn't a mute, he was just a quite quiet man was all. Only speak when you're spoken to...." Just make sure that you do properly. I may be fast but not whirlwind fast." He said with a half grin.

@∞ kim junmyeon Taemin heard the patter and squeaks of someone climbing the latter. he aimed his gun in the direction of the latter me waited. He studied the man at arrived at the top and held his fingers on the trigger. "Ill lower mine, if you lower yours," Taemin decided to actually chat with this man. He seemed skilled, hopefully he was wise too. There weren't many of those types of people left anymore in this world.

@∞ lee taemin Junmyeon hid for cover the minute he heard the gunshot but shot his crossbow again and reloaded. He always had spare arrows in case he lost some. If it were up to him the other man would be dead but he was missing on purpose. He was too good to shoot the man dead. He didn't speak he jumped to the ladder and climbed up to see who was shooting at him. He aimed his crossbow at him regardless.

@∞ kim junmyeon Thankfully, Taemin was used to the darkness seeing as the sewers never got very bright. He noticed the man below him about to shoot and leaned far enough where he wouldn't have been hit. A crossbow is powerful and pretty accurate, downside is the reloading speed. However, this man reloaded quicker than most would have. He was woe in having a silent weapon than Loud. Taemin stood up instead of squatting, aimed, and began his fire. the machine gun was also slow to shoot, but loud in the initial start.

@∞ lee taemin His crossbow out and ready to go he walked the streets keeping his eyes open and ready to go. He looked around and listened quietly around the area. He didn't know that this place belonged to someone else, he didn't know which was the case, but he was reasy regardless. He heard some footsteps and stayed on the ground. It was easier for him to shoot up then down. It was just weird for him. He used to have a sniper rifle but he was better on the ground than above. He heard the footsteps above and freaked out slightly. He wasn't going to go down. He shot his arrow up at where the footsteps stopped. He didn't speak he just waited.

@∞ kim junmyeon Dark, dank, and wet. The city streets were just like the sewers where the hideout was located. Sometimes Taemin had to remind himself why he started camping down there in the first place. Now it's a horde of weapons, food, and supplize. It was turning out nicely, if you don't mind the smell.
Taemin was currently lurking the streets for any unwanted pests who were catching onto the sewers' secrets. He had his m4 strapped tightly to his body, holding it with his hands, ready for anything.
He heard the scuffle of something that wasn't an animal or debris of a slowly collapsing buildings. It was another person. Taemin noticed a fire escape near him, and decided it best to gain some height as an advantage, seeing as he was only good with his guns. If it came to hand to hand, Taemin would be sure to loose.
He waited in place, hunkered down, his finger on the tringer and his feet placed just right.
