@[R] Byun BaekHyun Chaeyoung had a small smile on her face as the two began walking to the other side of the library. With such a horrible day she honestly thought that it could get worse from there. In fact she would have never thought t she would be actually talking to the person who she could have my injured and be having a good time. As the other offered to get the book that she trying to get earlier she chuckled lightly. "I would appreciate it." she admitted, she was more on the short side so she really could not reach the top shelves of anything.looking a Baekhyun she tried to recall what book she was trying to get. "Oh..." she paused for a moment. "I was trying to get Fantastic Beasts and where to find them." she said as the began to reach the isle that the book was in.
As the other offered to stay with her for a bit she grew a smile on her face. It wasn't often that she actually was me to interact with someone and it actually be decent, so there was a very low chance she would turn it down. Nodding her head she glanced around the room. "If it is not too much trouble for you." Honestly she didn't to admit that she wanted to hang out with the mail, just found it rude to really turn down an offer. "I have nothing special going on today." She said smiling brightly.
@[H] Park ChaeYoung [] terribly sorry for the long wait, I've had a really busy week-
Baekhyun let out a soft chuckle, starting to walk with Chaeyoung towards the other side of the library. "Did you ever get that book? I don't mind getting it for you, if you want. It could be a little 'thank you' for the water." He glances over at the first bookshelf that had fallen, vaguely judging that he would be tall enough to reach the top shelf. "I'm really glad it was an accident," he mentions absentmindedly, not really thinking too much about his words. "Some of the people at this school give me the creeps."
He glances over at her briefly, giving her a gentle smile. "...Oh. Well, I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. If everything's going wrong, I don't think it can get any worse than what just happened, at least." He took another sip from the water bottle. "If you want, I don't mind sticking with you for a bit, just to make sure everything's going alright. All of my classes are over anyway, so I'm free."
@[R] Byun BaekHyun With the older male taking the books and her handing the bottle of water with him asking if it is okay before he takes it. "Of course, I have plenty." She smiled and let her hand down after the other took the bottle, she always kept them around her because she would never know when she would need a bottle of water. She chuckled lightly as she thought about what really happened. "I tripped when I went to get a book on a higher shelf." She said lightly, "then I fell back words, into the book shelf, and I guess that is how it all happened." She said looking down at her shoe lace, in which was still not tied. "My shoe was untied.." She said kneeling down to tie her shoe. When she was finished she stood back up and looked at the older male with a smile.
Chaeyoung nodded her head as the other said that it was no problem. "I feel like today is just..." she paused shaking her head. "I don't know. Everything would go wrong for me today." She chuckled and once the other introduced himself she nodded and smiled. "It is very nice to meet you Baekhyun." She said. "My name is Chaeyoung."
@[H] Park ChaeYoung Baekhyun accepted the books with a small smile, shrugging off his book-bag and crouching down a bit to load the materials inside it. He stood up again quickly, and reached up to sweep a stray lock of hair out of his eyes. "What happened, anyway?" the Ravenclaw asked, tilting his head a bit curiously. "Did you trip, or were you leaning against the shelves, or something?" His voice trailed off when he glanced up and noticed the water that was being held out to him. This time when the corners of his mouth turned up, a flash of white was revealed. "Oh-! Are you sure? That's really, really nice of you... you're not scary, not at all." He bit his lip when those last words passed from his lips, and reached forward to timidly take the water bottle.
Baekhyun listened carefully to her as she spoke, putting his lips to the mouth of the bottle and taking a few sips of water. After downing about half the bottle, he replaced the top of it and met her eyes. "It's no problem, really... don't worry, you're not the only one who's had a bad day." The skin beneath his eyes crinkled up, turning his eyes into little crescents. "What's you're name, anyway? I know I've seen you around, but I don't really know many Hufflepuffs." He didn't really know anyone outside of his own House, for that matter. "My name's Baekhyun," he added as an afterthought.
@[R] Byun BaekHyun Chaeyoung looked at the other as he sat up, cautious because she didn't want to have anything more to happen. She was picking up some more books when the other told her that he didn't have to do it. She stood up and handed out the books that she gathered to the male. "It's fine, I don't mind to help you." She said giving a small smile. She felt kind of at fault for anything the bookshelf's falling and everything else. She thought for a minute and could tell that the other was a bit shaky when he stood up. She looked down at her bag that she carried and started feeling around in it, until she found what she was looking for. Pulling out an unopened bottle of water she offered it to the other. "Do you want some water?" She asked. "It might make you feel better." She said in a soft tone.
Chaeyoung looked around the library for a moment all the eyes that were on her and him during the main events of the incident were now back to minding their own business, and realizing that she felt a bit more at ease talking to the older male. "I am sorry for everything." She said kind of looking at the ground. "I promise I'm not like this all the time, I just had a bad day." She said chuckling lightly, hoping that the male would understand.
@[H] Park ChaeYoung Before he found himself on the ground. Baekhyun felt a pair of hands grabbing at him. He blinked up at the girl when he landed, a bit surprised that she'd tried to help him. After all, she had tried to apologize to him and he had just snapped at her rudely. She was probably a very nice person- most Hufflepuffs were, his mother had told him. But she'd also told him that they tended to be a little bit dumb, and he'd found that to be completely false.
"I'm fine," Baekhyun blurted out quickly, pushing himself up carefully into a sitting position. "I think I got up too fast, that's all." A light dusting of pink spread across his cheeks, the whole situation being more than a little humiliating. To think that he'd studied up endlessly on how to protect himself from Dark magic, and yet an attack from a mere bookshelf had sent him to the ground. When he saw that the other girl was already picking up his books for him, he took a deep breath and shakily stood up again, still eyeing the bookshelves with mild suspicion. "You don't have to do that," he mumbled, hurrying over and starting to gather up the rest of his materials.
@[R] Byun BaekHyun It took a moment for Chaeyoung to catch her breath, today was probably the worst day in history for her. She acknowledged that the other apologized but could not give a verbal response until she caught her breath. One.. two... three. She looked up at the other with a nod after recollecting herself a little bit. "It's okay, I understand." He was most definitely not the first person that thought that she was apart of the Slytherin house because of her family. She was kind of like the black sheep of her family. She didn't mind it, but she did miss getting so much attention from her parents, know all they care about is her brother.
She looked up slightly noticing that the other had a sudden change in expression and knew that something was wrong immediately, however, she could not do anything about it. She took a deep breath and held it in as the other started to fall and she tried to catch him even though she was a tiny girl she didn't want to have the male hurt after what just happened. "Oh no, it's my fault." She said kneeling on the ground. "I scared him.." she mumbled lightly to herself, instantly looking around to see if there was teachers around. She didn't want to leave the side of the other just in case something else happened but she wasn't sure exactly what to do at a time like this. 'Great, your just coming with unexpected events today.' Chaeyoung thought to herself and went to collect the others books when she seen he opened his eyes. "Are you okay?" She asked picking up the first book.
@[H] Park ChaeYoung Baekhyun hugged his books tightly to his chest, almost as if he was trying to protect himself from the words coming out of . His gaze kept slipping over to the bookshelves-- they could fall over at any time, couldn't they? Of course they could, with nothing holding them to the floor. He swallowed nervously, before backing away from the girl and the bookshelves. A Hufflepuff... she's a Hufflepuff. Why did he have to assume any of that? He'd heard of her brother, of course, but why did he have to be so narrow-minded as to assume that she too was in Slytherin? He'd never been good at reading people.
"I'm... sorry." Baekhyun bit his lip and curled his arms tighter around his schoolbooks, now worried that he had hurt her feelings. She wasn't in Slytherin; of course she hadn't meant to hurt him. Maybe she had just leaned against the bookshelf, and it had fallen. "I was just surprised, that's all. I didn't mean to yell at you. Maybe if I hadn't been so caught up in what I was doing, I could've stopped it myself." He took another step back, offering her a small smile. Hopefully, he could figure out some way to get out of here and make it seem as if nothing had happened. That plan changes when the library suddenly goes blurry in his vision, and when everything's clear again, he's on the ground, his books strewn around him.
@[R] Byun BaekHyun Of course... ChaeYoung was a witch, she could have just as easily did a spell that would stop all the book cases over, so why did she not think of that? Maybe because she was in a panic? Or maybe she did not know the spell she could have use to do that. It was probably the both of them put together considering she never really practiced spells like that. ChaeYoung was probably way more absent minded than she wanted to be, and it was something she was trying to better herself in.
It was no surprise that ChaeYoung was surprised by the others outburst, well, it wasn't exactly an outburst she acknowledged that but already having as bad of a day that ChaeYoung was having that is how she took it. "I-I really didn't mean to." She said kind of quickly, and honestly right now she just wanted to cry but she couldn't let herself do it. "Slytherin?" She mumbled lightly, everyone recognized her because of her older brother, and practically her whole family was in Slytherin so it came to no surprise that some people would not notice that she was in the hufflepuff house, the left over house, or something like that. This kid probably hated her know for the simple fact that she just made the biggest accident in the world and could have severely hurt him, and not only that but he thinks she is in the Slytherin house. "N-no." She stuttered lightly. "I'm not Slytherin, I'm Hufflepuff." She said quickly trying to get the words out of .
@[H] Park ChaeYoung Even with the initial shock of the blow fading away, the weight of the bookshelf with all of its immense volumes was enough to make Baekhyun double over. He squeezed his eyes shut before in a deep breath and mumbling out a spell along with a few choice words, giving his wand a light wave. The bookshelves began to slowly right themselves, starting with the very first one and continuing on until the one that fell on him lifted up as well.
There was someone hovering over him, and he glances up quickly, staring at the girl with wide eyes. From her words, she seemed to be the one who had done it. "What was that for-?" Baekhyun blurted out, though his tone was more fearful than angry. "You- I mean, I'm sure... aren't you a Slytherin?" He gathered up his books quickly, worried that she might do something more to him.
[i'm sorry it's so short rip, i have to go to school]
@[R] Byun BaekHyun It was not long before many eyes were on the girl. ChaeYoung already could feel her face redden even more as she stood up. She was completely embarrassed, everyone had already had a bad impression on her thinking that she didn't fit in the hufflepuff house, and knowing her brother no one was really too found of her. Of course she had to make things worse. She followed the chain reaction of shelves as it continued falling, maybe she could catch it before it practically destroys the whole library. Everyone was already staring at her and she already made a big fool of herself so she didn't really care on what she did now. Well that was before she realized she forgot to tie her shoelace, but who could remember something like that at a time like this.
With a loud thud ChaeYoung fell to the floor hitting her chin hard. "Ouch." She mumbled to herself rubbing her chin and looking up to see the last bookshelf fall right where someone was sitting. "Oh no." ChaeYoung jumped up and ran to the upper classman and could tell from the start that this situation was not going to start well for her. "I'm.." She paused as she couldn't get any more words out of . "I am so so sorry." She finally managed to say, she was still in shock from what happened but she could only image what the older male had been through. "Are you okay?"
@[H] Park ChaeYoung Baekhyun reached up to rub his eyes, before flipping another page of the book he was reading. History of Magic was a hard enough subject to do well in, but to top it off, he was only running on a few hours of sleep, thanks to his determination to pass the upcoming test with flying colors. He squinted slightly, narrowing his eyes as the words seemed to dance across the pages. Finally, he closed his book with a sigh, slipping it back into his bag and retrieving another volume. He had Potions next anyway, and he could use a refresher on what had happened in the last class. It would certainly make for easier reading, that's for sure.
There was a faint crash, echoing from the other side of the library. Baekhyun jumped slightly, before chiding himself for what feels like the millionth time; he's not in Gryffindor, but he certainly shouldn't be this jumpy. He shook his head sheepishly, before turning another page. That was when something heavy slammed against his back and he let out an involuntary yelp, the wind getting knocked out of him as the last bookshelf in the chain reaction toppled over directly onto where he'd been sitting and reading.
@[R] Byun BaekHyun For someone who is generally quite, reserved, and doesn't do any harm to anything ChaeYoung is sure having a bit of luck for today. She had some sort of confrontation with her brother in the quiddich field as she was there supporting her friend and 'she' seemed to be the cause of the slytherin team not being able to practice. Quite upset, she naturally went to one of her favorite places to go other than the common room, the library. She looked around her face was red from the incident earlier and she hoped that no one noticed. Walking back to her favorite section of books she was trying to find one that she could find and study.
With her luck going down hill for the day she couldn't think of anything worse happening to her, what could be worse than.. she tripped on her shoelace falling backwards into a shelf and made books fall off the shelf. It would draw attention but most definitely not that bad of a situation, she thought. ChaeYoung turned around and her eyes widened. "Oh no..." She whispered to her self, the shelf was tilting backwards and into the other shelves. How wonderful. ChaeYoung just naturally fell to the floor struck with everything that was happening. "Could today get any worse?" She mumbled to herself.
@Min YoonGi ChaeYoung wearing nothing but regular clothes as she didn't have any classes today was ready to have an easy day, and relax. Her first destination? The library. Studying and reading up on new books was one of her favorite things that she liked to do to pass time. She was searching in one of the topics that had been intriguing her the most lately as she is interested in a variety of different topics was beasts and monsters, so she was trying to find everything that she could about them. Every single one of them were fascinating creatures in her mind. Is that what her project could be about, is this why it has become her favorite class? Maybe she would have to do her project on a specific beast. ChaeYoung's eyes gleamed at the thought as she held the books closely to her chest. To a stranger, she might look a bit odd just randomly smiling at a shelf of books while holding books close to her.
After a minute of thinking about everything that could happen with her project she decided to find a table and read here, considering there wasn't going to be much traffic going through here, and if so it would be quiet, it was a library for crying out loud. Or not. Maybe crying softly? ChaeYoung didn't know, but shook her head. In doing so she noticed another student, with something peculiar sticking out about him. She wasn't exactly sure what it was, so she just stood there observing him for a minute. He was in the Ravenclaw house, she could easily tell it by looking at his uniform.
After observing the student for a while she widened her eyes. How could something so small stand out to her so much? Especially so far away? She shook her head, the kids tie wasn't tied properly, maybe he didn't know how to tie it, or maybe he was in a rush and didn't care. She decided to confront the boy about it, knowing that some people might make fun of him for it.
"Excuse me," ChaeYoung whispered just enough to get the attention of the boy. "Do you know how to tie a tie?" She instantly shut up, everything comes out wrong when she is trying to be nice. "I mean I could teach you if you want."
@[H] Park ChaeYoung Some would say they stink, but Yoongi has always been fond of the smell of ancient books. The ones that are so old that it takes a sort of delicate touch to open them up without making the spines crumble. More than the smell of the old books, however, Yoongi has always been drawn to the library because it's one of the few places that can be so quiet at any time of the day. Even with a lot of people there, it's still easy to keep to yourself. After all, the library isn't exactly the most common place people go to pick up a date for the Christmas ball or anything.
Yoongi decides to start with the rune section to help him with the class that he's struggling with the most. The class is boring, and Yoongi can't imagine the books for it to be any more interesting, but he has to keep his grades up. There's no choice. He finds a book that he hopes to be rather helpful, and he takes it to one of the tables to begin reading.
