Never again. It was a promise made to himself as he awoke from his drunken stupor, his head feeling like someone had knocked him out with a heavy frying pan, his own heartbeat pulsing behind his eyes as he swayed rather violently while trying to get up from the bench he had fallen asleep on in the ships canteen. His neck felt stiff and his mouth tasted like salt, his tongue dry as if he had chewed on a piece of paper. Never again, he told himself once more as he ran a hand through his unruly black hair, messing up the slightly damp strands even more. He would never again drink anything that had no official label printed on it. A little bit of fresh air, that's what he needed right now. And maybe a horizon he could watch so the swaying of the ship didn't make him feel like he wanted to turn his insides out. But the first thing he heard when he stepped out into the open, wind brushing through his hair and having him breathing in deeply, was a shriek so loud, he felt like someone was driving a dagger through his scalp.
"SIRRRRRRRRR-AAHHHH!"
Oh Hook have mercy on his soul - or the soul of the poor idiot that screamed bloody murder at a time like this, the ship rocking serenely from one side of the other.
"Ey!", Kiseok belted out, grabbing the side of his head with one hand as he staggered out into the open, spotting one of his fellow mates on deck, staring up into the rigging of the ship. "Will you shut up or what?! Some people have a headache over here! What the is wrong with you, screaming at the sails about feet?! There are no feet anywhere up there unless I will hang you on the mast!"
@☭ Kwon Jiyong Minseok could barely hear the pirate below over the sound of the wind in the rigging but he picked up enough to know that he was yelling about footprints. Minseok couldn't figure out what that meant, he had more pressing things to worry about. Struggling to sit up he propped himself against the side of the crows nest and tried to calm his heart, carefully unclenching and then lifting his hands over his head to reduce the blood flow.
Minseok felt his adrenaline increase tenfold when the pirate addressed him directly. He faught the urge to freeze in the enemies line of sight as he felt the pain in his hands diminish. With strange crablike motions he shimmied his way over to the sail, putting the billowing fabric between himself and the pirates line of sight. Then with all the grace of a seagull with a broken wing he hauled himself into the basket of the Crow's nest. Breathing heavily as he called his hands into fists, hoping to stop the bleeding.
Minseok swayed a fraction of a second out of time with the boat and felt one of the rough ropes tear one of the blisters on his palm open. Biting down on the inside of his cheek he kept the groan that followed the injury faint enough that it simply sounded like the wood of the boat creeking. Carefully he shifted his weight onto his less damaged hand and braced himself to release the rope. Prying stiff joints open allowed him to see the extent of the injury. Blood welled in his palm and began to trickle down between his fingers leaving Gorey streaks as it dried against his skin. Strangely mesmerized by the sight he didn't catch himself before a few drops of blood fell from his fingers directly onto the pirates below.
The mizzenmast swayed gently in the night sky as he watched the crew below, eyes narrowed in concentration as he waited in tense anticipation of the Rodgers next docking. He had gotten himself caught up in the boats anual rounds when he fell asleep in his hiding spot just below the Crow's nest in the shadow of one of the mainsails. He certainly wasn't asleep now. he struggled to keep a hold of his rope anchors, hands raw and blistered from rope burn, blood staining the anchors a dark red slowly.
@☭ Park Jinyoung Ah still so bitter from all those years ago? *my feet leave the floor teasing and finding myself just hovering around you* I didn't realise you still loved me /Hook/
@ஐ Kim Taehyung at least I'm nasty on surface Tae, not filled with filthy lies and darkness while acting like an angel *chuckles, letting the sharp tip of the hook to lightly scratch the skin before pulling it back, eyes scanning over you with bitterness filling up its surface*
@☭ Jung Hoseok "Hook is a bad man, so I cut off his hand and fed it to the crocodile" Taehyung said this so lightly, as if what he had done was normal, he gave a smile and rested his head against the other males shooulder no sign of violence in his being
