@Purplesuitcase The room was filled with the sound of the television which was showing the replay of a late night gag show, the loud tapping of the keyboard, the non-stop ringing of the smartphone, vibrating on top of the bedside table and the voice of the male talking out loud through another phone. "Like I said, do invest that cash for me to the horse race. Don't you get at least that much?" He clicked his tongue after half-yelling at his assistant through the phone. 'It was not him. It was the disorder.' were words he would often hear from people who would work under him. It would haunt him during the minima of his oscillating moods but it would not even bother him during his mania phase, just like the present moment. A heavy sigh came from his assistant who was talking on the other line but he missed it for his attention turned to the television. Laughter escaped his mouth as he momentarily forgot the trivial matter and the fact that he just woke the other from his sleep at 1 a.m. in order to invest in the stock market. 'First, it is a bad idea. You did that last time with the gamble place and you suffered a big blow. Second, it is one in the morning. What makes you think that they're accepting investment during this time of the day? Third, I repeat, it is one in the morning. I do not get paid enough to accept your call and do stuff for you at this time. So, sir, please go to sleep and make everything easier for all of us.' His assistant's sound explanation, however, entered one hear but left another.
"Um, one second..." Kibum's gaze turned to the phone on the table, finally realizing that it was ringing. He grabbed it and checked his unread messages, smirking as he read its contents. "Someone invited me to a club. You can just send the money tomorrow then. Have your precious sleep because that's the only thing you're ever good at." His assistant took a deep breath, his last thread of patience almost snapping at his boss's previous statement. 'That's a little inconsiderate, given that it's one in the morning...again. As an advice, don't go to any club. You might be a little high right now but just go to sleep. Nothing ever goes right if you go to the club. You will also have another meeting with your parents regarding the marriage. You said that you'll think about it but really, you have no choice right now. Don't even think of bringing some girl from the club and ask her for marriage. That's insane.' With that, the person on the other line hang up the phone and turned his phone off to make sure that there would not be another phone call from his boss to interrupt his sleep for the night.
On the other hand, Kibum had nothing but a sour expression on his face since he heard the word 'marriage'. It was brought up during his dinner with his marriage and as someone who already had it hard by living as a bachelor, he never once thought of getting married. Since he was in his high phase, he could not dwell on it too much but since it was brought up again, he could not help feeling down- must be because of a sudden shift in the mood or it was just the fact that he hated the idea. "Tsk. Noises. Nonsense. How irritating." He shoved his laptop away, turn the television to mute then threw both his phone on the floor. He then laid on his bed, his back facing the ceiling of the room as his gaze stared on the lamp which illuminated the little part of the room. His thoughts were racing, going from one topic to another- marriage, work, horse race, money, pizza, parents, the joke that he did not get- and he could not stop.
Can I have a one month hiatus? I'm pretty much just going through alot of stuff and can't emotionally handle this right now. Like, I've literally lost the will to live, to be honest.
