ㅡ backstage

@Choi Seungcheol “What did you see that I didn’t then? How did he try to ruin everything? I’m just trying to understand it’s all to confusing.” Jiyeon shook her head with a frowned. “It’s not him, but even if I end up being with him at the end at least I hope he’ll be there for me, and let me explain my side instead of just ending things.” Jiyeon sighed as she did heard Seungcheol called out for her, but couldn’t face him at her emotional stage.

The night seems long as she met up with her friend at the cafe telling him about the run in with her ex, and what the conversation that went down. She left nothing out, but couldn’t helped feeling that something was off when her friend kept offering to talked to Seungcheol about leaving her alone. He even went as far as to be her so called bodyguard just in case Jiyeon ex showed up again. She said no to both offers since one if they met up it would end up badly, and two they would bump into each other again sooner or later to the work they do. It was only a couple hours later in reality when they finally part ways Jiyeon wanting to be alone with her thoughts, and her friend having to meet with someone else little did she know that this someone was Seungcheol.

/He/ was not at all happy that his chances with Jiyeon were already low, but is now near impossible because of that darn Seungcheol. /He/ had after so long broke the couple up after so many tries after in order to comfort her just to finally have her as his own no way in hell is he going to let that bastard come back into her life to ruin this. "I'll make sure they wouldn't meet up again by any means necessary." He said after they part ways, and he went on a man hunt for Seungcheol.

@[sh] Kim Jiyeon "You can say that, but you never saw what I did, Jiyeon. He was trying to ruin everything..." Seungcheol sighs in exasperation. "I'm not trying to win you back, I just...I need to know...if it's /him/..." His nose wrinkles up at the thought. He could handle it if she was happy without him, sure, but only if it was anyone but him. His thoughts only seemed to be right as the other started walking off. "Wait, Jiyeon-ah..." Seungcheol pleads with the pet name, his hand outstretching to reach for her as the other pulls away. He slinks against the wall, letting out a sigh.

@Choi Seungcheol "He wasn't trying to take me away from you. He was just trying to help me back on my feet after." Jiyeon defend the guy not knowing up to this day Seungcheol was correct about everything. " I thought you are not trying to win me back, but no I am not seeing anyone yet." She said before looking at her watch. "I have to go I'm meeting up with someone." Jiyeon said not mentioning who the person is knowing it would do no good. The smaller female was already at a lost on what to do with her own feelings, and talking to the guy might help her clear things up. "I'm sorry, but I really meant what I said. I'm not sure if a friendship between us can work again when the pain is still here." She rushed off without waiting for a reply.

@[sh] Kim Jiyeon The answer makes Seungcheol laugh, and for a second if feels like no time had passed since they were happily in each other's arms. "I know things went south fast...it just, it was so hard to see you with someone that I knew was trying to take you away from me...it was only proved when we broke up and you two were always together." His nose crinkled at the thought, hating how all of their good memories were soured with the boy. He know that he and Jiyeon were still friends, but he wondered if it ever went further than that, before or currently. "Have you been seeing anyone lately...?" Seungcheol tried to ask nonchalantly, but he knew the other was smart enough to see through him.

@Choi Seungcheol Jiyeon could only stay quiet upon hearing the question knowing deep down she doesn't hate him, but at the same time couldn't bring herself to answer. "Meep" is the only thing that escaped her lips when he forced her to looked at him as tears slowly start to fall hearing the nickname. "T-the pain is to deep to go back to a friendship. It's so deep that I never had a chance to miss you. You ruin it when you never let me properly explain before just leaving me along. I'm just glad he was there for me after everything." Jiyeon let out a small smiled remember how much /he/ helped before laughing at a funny memory.

@[sh] Kim Jiyeon "I know things didn't go well, but is it worth hating each other over?" Seungcheol questioned, a frown forming on his face as he continued. "I regret how things happened...I'm not trying to win you back or anything, I just...I miss you, Jiyeonie. More than just a relationship, I miss our friendship we had together..." His voice softened as he saw the other tear up, and he tilts her head up to look at him. "Don't you miss me, too?"

@Choi Seungcheol "After all this time it still hurts to think that you didn't trust me enough Seungcheol. I'm not sure if being friendly would happen anytime soon if at all." Jiyeon shook her head with a sighed thinking back to the horrible break up only cause her eyes to water. She pulled her sweater hood over her head at the same time she lower her head refusing to look at him any longer. "You regret it? What is the point in saying this now? Do you think I would just jump into your arms again, and everything will be fine?" She leans against the wall waiting to see if he have an answer or not. Jiyeon was glad that barely anyone was here to witness this or it would be bad for the both of them.

@[sh] Kim Jiyeon "Jiyeon..." Seungcheol whispers out the name, wondering what he could say to calm things down. "Come on, don't be like this. Can't we at least be friendly?" Even though he broke off things with the other, it was never due to lack of interest, but rather an unfortunate miscommunication. In all honesty, he truly cared about the girl, and couldn't help but be curious about how she was doing these days or what she was up to. "I'm sorry about how things ended up, really, I regret it..."

@Choi Seungcheol It was a long day for Jiyeon as she got ready to go home for the day making sure to stay warm as it's been cold out lately. "Darn my luck." The small female mumbled to herself as she spotted the one person she wanted to avoid the most, but hoped for the best as she kept her head down. 'Again darn my luck.' Jiyeon thought to herself this time when Seungcheol just had to stop in front of her. "Ahh it's really been a while since we talked outside of work." She side stepped in an attempted to escape from him as she recalled their past. "I'll be honest it's better if you don't talk to me again unless we need to. If I remember the last time didn't end up so well." Jiyeon said in a quiet voice with a dark yet sad look. "Now if you'll excuse me I would love to end this, and just leave now."

@[sh] Kim Jiyeon After another successful music show, Seungcheol happily thanked all the cast and crew as he walked off the stage, ripping off his mic as he breathed a sigh of relief. It was their last show of the week, so Seungcheol would finally have some time to himself, at least temporarily. On his way to his dressing room he walks past a few members of other bands, introducing himself briefly to stay hospitable. "Hey there, Seventeen's Seungcheol here. It's nice to meet you." The words echoed through the hall as he caught himself repeating himself, walking over to a smaller girl with her head down to introduce himself as well. "Hey there, I'm Seventeen's Seungcheol, It...." He trailed off as the girl looked up, revealing a face he hadn't seen in years. "Ah, Jiyeon...it's been a while, yeah?" Seungcheol rubs the back of his neck shyly, the face bringing up some unfortunate memories. "You look great, really."

Mindlessly roams around the backstage.

@Kim Taeyeon /continue holding you in my arms as i look at you with my teary eyes when you wipes my tears away,sobbing gently while feeling your warmth around my body.the fact that you are standing in front of me,holding you in my arms,the feeling that I missed for so many years,I finally feel it again after all these years of waiting.whine a little as you pull back but smile brightly as i stare at you happily before hugging you back. / I missed you so much,I've been waiting for this reunion for a very long time,and it finally happened,I got to see you again,not to mention I can finally hold you in mind arms once again. Just all the feeling that I missed for the past four years,I can finally feel them again./look at you with a bright smile and shake my head before wipes your tear away as well before speaking with a soft tone/ It's not your fault my love,I shouldn't have leave all you girls behind,I shouldn't forget my root,you guys are my family,my sisters. But I decide to leave at the worst time,I feel bad for leaving you girls,and pursuit my dream. /sob a little bit more before holds you tightly in my arms,take a deep breath before looking at you in the eyes. / You already did your part,nothing else you can do,baby boo. I know how hard it is for you as leader when I left the group and the company putting all the pressure on your shoulders,and you are the on taking the blame for it. / pulls away for a moment to look at you again,stare at your face after so long makes my heart racing like no other.smile brightly and holds your hand in mine,as i lead you to the backstage if my show,intertwine our fingers together./ Come with me,let me take you to my show,I will give you the best seat in the house,tae tae. /leading you to the backstage of my concert and let you sits down at the side of the stage,so you can have the best view of my performance./ You don't have anything to do right? How about we hangout after this,maybe go to the cafe or dinner at the restaurant we use to go,what do you think?

@Kim Taeyeon /rehearsing in a small practice room at the concert hall before my concert in a few hours,going through all the songs from my performing list,singing and dancing with my heart so I can give an amazing show for all the fans that's been waiting for so long for this concert. Although my heart is not only thinking about the concert ,but there is something else that's on my mind. A friend who is also performing at the same venue,someone who I haven't seen in years. Bring my mind back to the rehearsal as i continue singing and dancing in the small practice room inside the building,trying my best to be more energetic for the performance.hearing all the screaming and yelling from the performance that you are giving to the fans out there is making me heart beats really fast since you were my best friend when we were together all those years ago.putting on my outfit and fix my makeup before walking out the room,walking toward the stage. talking to my manager and stuff members who is working for my show,smile happily and nods at everything they are telling me,going through the list in my hand once again before i go on the stage again.just when i about to put on my earpieces in ,hearing a very familiar voice that I haven't heard for so many years,someone that I was thinking about while rehearsing for my concert ,looking up as i saw the face that i've been missing for so long,runs to you and hug you tightly./ Taeyeon! Oh my god,I missed you so much. / tears start dripping from my eyes,hugging you closely and pull away a little to look at the face I known for so long,flash a soft smile as i look at you,sobs a little as i know how much i miss you. / How are you doing,just finish your concert?

@Cheng Xiao Joshua chuckled when she mentioned his disappearance, the tease only managed to distract him for a second from his beating heart. She had always wanted to do it too? What is this supposed to mean? Where do they go from here? So many questions ran through Joshua's mind, questions to which he didn't know the answer of. He watched her movements and continued to listen to her words.

He leaned in and kissed her forehead gently. "I really missed you too, Cheng Xiao." Joshua said quietly, coming out almost as a whisper. He pushed the strands of her hair away from her eyes and looked at her face, a face that aged since their trainee days but still as beautiful as always. Leaning in quietly to kiss her back on the lips as gently as he could, he pulled back a bit and gave her a hug. He nuzzled at the nape of her neck and huffed out a sigh.

"I don't want to rush into anything if our relationship is moving towards something. Let's take things slow, aite?" He said as he leaned up to look at her in the eyes. "I won't disappear on you this time, I'll be here if you need me." Joshua said as a smile came up to his lips and he sat up. "It's getting pretty late, do you want to hang around for awhile or do you want me to drop you off at my place? My manager's asking for an update on what I'm going to do." Joshua chuckled and rubbed the back of his nape awkwardly, he felt like he has to tell something to his mother who is wanting updates on his whereabouts.

@Hong Joshua "I wanted to do this for a long time, but when I finally gather the courage well you know what happen then mister disappear out of nowhere." Xiao said with a slightly teasing tone along with an equally teasing smile that grace her lips. "And now you know it wouldn't have ruin our friendship at all;however that leads to the question what do we do with it now?" She asked as she looked towards the side-it couldn't be help as they just gotten their friendship back on track. The one thing Cheng Xiao doesn't want was to lose it especially not when it was finally to what it should be. "I-I didn't just kissed back out of happiness just so you know. I really did miss you a lot maybe more then I realized now that I think about it." She laughed before closing her eyes as she waited in fear yet excitement, but mainly fear for Joshua replied. She also unknowingly started to shake a bit due to that fear.

@Cheng Xiao Joshua was glad when she was laughing over the matter. It did seem silly to him, and he took her laughter as a sign that she understood the situation perfectly which was what he wanted in the first place. He hated for there to be any lingering misunderstanding between him and Cheng Xiao, because to be honest, he liked her before. Like really really like her, probably because she was the only person who dared to even become close to him in the first place but nevertheless at some point he did find himself crushing on Cheng Xiao. They say that there are some people that you will always have a crush on and for Joshua, that was Cheng Xiao. Even if he had met other people, the one that will always make his heart ache in sadness and in joy would be Cheng Xiao.

When she pulled him back towards her and their lips connected, Joshua felt this adrenaline rush. He could feel his heart beating fast in his chest and he was slightly panicking as he was worried that Cheng Xiao could hear it. However, his mind was soon clouded and no longer in control of what his body was doing. He kissed her softly, and slowly as this was the one thing that he'd always wanted to do with Cheng Xiao but always felt like it was crossing some sort of line. Does this mean that she had feelings for him too? Or was it just an adrenaline and possibly lust that made her kiss him? His hands went up and cupped her cheeks as he deepens the kiss, kissing her tenderly. He moved closer to her and laid her down on the sofa without breaking the kiss. He only broke off the kiss when he needed to come up for air, and he realized that he was above her. "You know, I've always wanted to kiss you like this. But I didn't want to ruin the friendship we had, so I never dared to." Joshua said looking into her eyes.

@Hong Joshua The only thing Xiao could do was stared blankly at the the male before her even if her eyes shown her disbelief over the whole thing before finally finding her voice. "I pushed you out so I can change back into my own clothes Josh unless you actually wanted to see it." She said said jokingly towards the end to hide her own nervousness, and doubt. She wrapped her own arms around him then let him pulled her towards the sofa. "So that's what happen." was the only words that came out as laughter took over soon after; it wouldn't stop even when she fell over landing back first onto the floor. She had no idea how long it took for her to calm down, but as soon as she did a quick "I'm sorry" came flying out. "I wasn't laughing at you, but at the whole situation. I couldn't believe this whole misunderstanding because of a broken phone. A broken phone of all things." She almost laughed once more, but held it back with a huge grinned instead.

Cheng Xiao held the eye contact while listening to every single word as she nodded her head once in a while in understanding. "I'm really happen to hear you say that I would hate to think that it wouldn't mean anything to you like it did to me. It means more to me then you would ever know." She closed her eyes as she let the memories play like a movie in her mind. Xiao eyes opened at the same time a gasped escaped her lips upon feeling the kiss. "I could say the same to you. My time here was wonderful thanks to you." A shake of the female head along with a soft smile was all it took for her pull the male over before reconnecting their lips. Xiao knew herself why the rumors hurt so much as it did it wasn't because of the rumors themselves, but because she have feelings for her friend. It would naturally hurt if she believed he either started or believed in them.

@Cheng Xiao He was sitting on one of the sofas in the room when he heard the door knob click and the door opened. He bounced to his feet, hoping that it would Cheng Xiao. His eyes lit up when he saw her coming in, relieved that she decided to come and see him again. "I didn't think you wanted to see again, that's why I left when I was outside your door." Joshua said slowly. He went up to her and took her hands. "I also didn't think you'd want to do anything anymore with me, so that's why I wrote that note." He looked at her eyes and gave a sad smile. He hugged her and gave her a tight hug before pulling away and pulling her to the sofa. Once he sat both of them down, he took a deep breath. "I wanted to answer your questions. When I left the company, it was because I felt like I wasn't growing and my family had some issues in the States so I was kind of in a hurry." He played with his fingers as he told his story. "Then my phone broke and I lost all my contacts, which was why I didn't call you. I just barely managed to find our old trainee buddies a few years back after I returned and that's when I heard the rumor." Joshua looked up to look into her eyes.

He took her hands and looked back into her eyes. "Everything that happened between us, every single moment we spent together, were some of my happiest memories in Korea, Cheng Xiao. And trust me, all of them were very much real." Joshua said as he lowered his head and a small smile appeared. "I was happy in those years, thanks to you." Joshua said as he looked back at her. Memories of the past came through his mind and he wasn't aware of his actions until he felt contact on his lips. He had leaned in and planted a soft kiss on Cheng Xiao's lips and he quickly backed away from her. "I'm sorry, I don't know what came over." Joshua said as he scratched the back of his neck.

@Hong Joshua Chang Xiao has just finished changing when she realized she was crying, taking a few more moments to calm down before walking towards the door to let Joshua back in. She saw the note just as she was near the door, and with a confused look bend down to pick it up. "And here I thought everything was said." She said after reading it a few times to make sure it was indeed correct. The young female stumbled backwards only to land onto the sofa with a mix of a sigh, and a small yell. It feels like hours when in reality it was only a few minutes before she gotten up, picked up her bag, double checking her stuff, and walked out of her own dressing room.

As she walked to the other dressing room-her mind was running wild of one dark thought after another mainly about what he could say or do now. Xiao paused in her steps as some very important questions appeared in her mind; what will happen to them now? Will they go back to being friends or would they have to work at it again? No worst what if after today they just pretend nothing happen because they made their peace, and that's all it is to it. She sighed what feels like the hundred time today as she forced herself to keep walking until she saw the waiting room. Xiao carefully glanced around before opening the door, peeking in to see if anyone was inside then finally steeping inside. "What else do you have left to say?" She asked in a small voice while the door close behind her.

@Cheng Xiao Joshua finally had the courage to turn the knob just a bit, ready to leave the room when he felt two arms circling his body and he was hugged from behind. His shirt felt wet; was Cheng Xiao crying? His heart ached when he heard her voice. He turned around to face her when she unwrapped her arms from him to see her standing at a distance from him. Again, the inability to speak his mind came to him once more as he looked at her eyes. The sincerity from those two orbs was one that made Joshua freeze and could think of nothing but ways to make it up to him. He had pained her, and that was the very last thing that he wanted to do to her. When he saw the smile, somehow it ached him. He felt like he hasn't done enough to be forgiven just yet. His eyes followed her movements as she opened the door for him and he was gently pushed out. "B-but." Was all Joshua could mutter when she said those last words and the door was shut.

Anyone who knew Joshua would know that he wasn't the kind to be able to shake things off easily. Apologize and apology accepted, done. No, that's not how Joshua was raised nor how he would allow the situation to be. Not when he's worked so hard to find her again, he was not gonna let this go until he was satisfied with himself. Taking a piece of paper nearby, he wrote down a message. 'I still have so much to tell you, Cheng Xiao. I'll be waiting for you in my waiting room when you're done. But should you decide otherwise, I will respect your decision just the same. -Joshua'. Joshua placed the pen back where he found it and slid the note under the door, hoping no one else but Cheng Xiao would find it. With that, he took a deep breath and went back to his waiting room where he waited and hoped that Cheng Xiao would come again.

@Hong Joshua It took a couple moments for Xiao to regain control over her body when without her consent it when into shocked. She didn’t think he would enter let alone follow her inside after that mini rant he took, not when she made it clear she wanted nothing to do with him. A small sighed escaped her lips before staring at Joshua with a blank look, and the same cold eyes slowly turning warm with each word that came out of his mouth. She could almost feel herself wanting to grab a hold of the other when she saw his head drop like it did; however somehow managed to held herself back from doing so wanting to hear everything to the very end before doing nor saying anything. Xiao wasn’t sure how to feel, what to say, not even want to do once it was over all she can do was zoned for a few minutes hoping something would come to her soon, not wanting to regret what will happen if this chance slips away now that she knew the whole truth.

The sight Xiao saw by the time she snapped out of her thoughts was one that shocked her-two arms was wrapped around Joshua stomach quite tightly, her face was buried into his back with unknown tears falling from her now sad eyes. “Why didn’t you contact me when you left? Why couldn’t I reach you at all once you left? I thought you believed in the rumor...no even worst I thought you started it that everything that happened between us was nothing, but one huge lie.” The female at this point unwrapped her arms before she took a few big steps back. She shook her head as it was her turned to lower her head. “It’s true whatever you said might sound like an excuse, and it kind of does if I was to be honest; however I’m glad to finally hear your side of the story. I can finally let go of my anger, and my pain at long least.” A small smile grace her lips when she lift her head up then walk forward before opening the door. “I’m glad to have you as my friend Josh really I do, but right now you have to get out.” She said at the same time she gave him a gently pushed out of the room. “You have nothing to be sorry about now that I know everything.” Was the final thing headed before the door shut closed in order for her to washed up, and changed back to her normal clothes.

@Cheng Xiao The reaction he got caught him by surprise despite expecting it when he reached out to her hand. Her aura, body language and especially her gaze was enough to cause him to freeze despite having a million words running through his brain telling him to talk. He couldn't. He felt the icy cold around him as he only managed to watch her turn her back on him and leave without giving him a chance to utter a word. Not that he could in the moment anyway. It all happened too fast, but once Joshua regained his posture and senses he quickly followed after Cheng Xiao. The backstage hallways were always busy with the staff running about with equipment and other idols walking up to the stage. Joshua tried his best to not stand out and made sure that he didn't make it seem like anything was going on. Upon reaching her waiting room, he knocked on the door whilst praying that there was nobody inside as he entered slowly.

Peeping his head from behind the door, he saw Cheng Xiao alone in the waiting room and he closed the door behind him. "I didn't want to make a scene by standing outside your door, so I let myself in. I'll leave if you want me to but hear me out." Joshua said, unable to move from his spot in fear that he would invade her privacy further. "You have every right to get angry at me, Xiao. And I'm really sorry that I couldn't contact you for the past years after I left the company. But I didn't know you suffered damage when I left, and for that I'm really sorry." His words came out like a bullet train but he was still hoping that she would at least look at him. He was always taught that apologies should be done whilst looking to the person's eyes. "I have no idea how the rumor started, and I only got to find out about it when I returned years later which by then was already too late, and I didn't know how to contact you." Joshua had his head down in embarrassment. "I looked everywhere for you, Xiao. Trust me, I did. I tried looking for you in between schedules but our schedules were always clashing and I didn't want to interrupt you." Joshua looked back at her this time, he wanted and hoped that his sincerity could be felt by her. "Well, I guess that's all I have to say. Anything else might seem like an excuse to you, but I just really wanna say that I'm sorry that you had to suffer all that alone. And that I'm really thankful to have you as my first friend here in the industry." Joshua looked at her for a few long minutes before turning to leave, his hand unable to turn the knob of the door.

@Kim Mingyu screams and cheers were heard even from my dressing room, changing my outfit in a black tight crop top paired with a black shorts, putting over my favorite pink see through oversized shirt to complete my stage outfit, checking myself out infront of the mirror before briefly going over to my lines and steps before a knock was heard on the door, a female staff briefly looking around before spotting me
"ms. hwang you're up next in 5"
i thanked the staff with a polite bow of my head before she went out to do her duties, walking over the mirror again to check out my make up before going out, making my way over the backstage i spotted several groups and politely bowed my head as a greeting and loud cheers and screams were head before seeing your group seventeen make their way down as your group finished performing, bowing my head towards your group and smiled cheekily, briefly congratulating your group before making my way up the stage to perform, smiling again widely seeing the crowd cheer for me before my aura changed as the music started, giving the crowd a bit of a show by slightly lifting my shirt up on some parts and seductively make eye contact with some fans during the chorus part where i lay down the floor spreading my legs, sweat starts to roll down from my forehead as the song comes to an end, ending my performance with a seductive wink i bowed down to the crowd and waved to my fans before going down backstage

@Hong Joshua It was just another day for Cheng Xiao as she was in the waiting room waiting for her own group to perform that was until she realized her ex-friend was also here. She should had known better then to be bitter after all so many years had passed; should had known that one day they would be in the same place at the same time. The young women watched only for a moment as his own group Seventeen was up on stage before getting ready for her own performance, not wanting to mess up simply because of Joshua. She couldn't helped however the wondering thought that passed her mind-does he remember her, and if he does why would he throw her under the bus like that? Cheng Xiao shook off her thoughts when she was called up on stage with only the performance in her mind right then and there.

A smiled graced the young women lips as she was talking with her fellow members that all to soon disappeared when she felt someone other then her group reached out for Cheng Xiao. She felt one of her worst fears coming true upon hearing his voice, and not wanting to cause any drama out in the open; she excused herself from her group. Cheng Xiao doesn't go home nor ride with the rest since she lived in another place so she doesn't have to worry about that. "What would you like to talk about?" She asked only after everyone was out of hearing range. "I honestly don't see why you want to talk to me now after everything." She said in a cold tone as her equally cold eyes glanced into the other own pair of eyes. "After all you did nothing, but lie to me back then." With the memories of their past replaying in her mind; she refused to give the other a changed to replied back as she storms into her own dressing room relief that no one was inside.

@Cheng Xiao As he waved to the fans while he left the stage, his ears managed to pick up the announcement of the next group to perform. WJSN. Joshua stopped in his tracks on the stairs and looked back at the screen. There she was. Cheng Xiao. His only friend from his earlier trainee days. He couldn't believe it when he saw her face on the screen and was almost glued to the stairs until he felt s pulling him back to their waiting room. After they removed all make up and dressed in their normal clothes again, the members head out for home. Joshua told the manager that he would come about later, he needed to see her first. The manager said that he would come back later to pick up Joshua when he was done and so Joshua was left alone in their waiting room, watching the girl group performance.

Hands fidgeted while eyes watched in awe at their dance moves, a sense of pride washed over him unknowingly as he was happy to see his friend up on that stage doing what she loved the most. Dancing. Joshua began reminiscing their moments together as he continued watching the performance. When the girl group left the stage, he went over to open his door so that he can call out to her without it being too creepy, or so he hoped. As he sat there, playing with his phone and taking random selfies, he would turn around every time he heard a girl group member like tone speak up until he saw her.
