In fact, she could make up a few shapes and forms in the murk, as though her mind was begging for any sort of distraction; to forbid her unconsciousness. Those wakeful hours passed ten times slower, almost to worn out body when everyone and everything was soundly asleep. save for a few crickets she could hear outdoors. At this rate, drowsiness would surely catch up in class, where the professor would kick her out after a deafening insultation. yet, her attempts were in vain; for sleep never came. Erika could hear herself heave a sigh as she sat back up, a shiver running through her body whilst weighing pros and cons. if she were to stop her tries, she'd risk skipping class. but it wasn't like she was gonna sleep if she sinks harder into the bedding. So, she decided to do the next best thing. more than content to head out of the grim atmosphere her dreary room provided.
