Mating Info
Some rules so that everyone in the community is on the same page for what it means to mate in this RP's universe.
1. Respect the dating ban (one week) and mating ban (one month).
2. Mating happens during heat and during .
3. Mating consist of biting each other necks, in turn, to create a bruise on the skin at what we call the mating spot (somewhere midway down the neck).
4. The bond is not a magical bond, it's more about the fact that people will be able to see the mark and know you are mated. It can affect a wolf psychologically and emotionally, depending on the individual's personality.
5. The bruises fade and it is necessary to renew them to keep them fresh. If a couple breaks up, the bruise can be left to heal and the mating bond disappears (but it takes time).
6. Mating is a construct of society, like marriage in the human world. Nothing more, nothing less. For some it might be really important, and for some it might not mean much.
7. Another wolf would know who you're mated to, because they would be able to smell them from the mating bruise.
8. Mating between brothers and same gender parties is frowned upon.
9. Do not abuse heats. Heats for omegas should last no longer than a week OOC, and for betas, even less.
10. If an alpha gets in contact with a beta or omega in heat, then they might go in rut. That means they are extra fertile in that week and will be uncharastecally and aggressive. Up to you how your muse changes. Some alpha are unaffected.
