The ambiance remained aggressive; heaving through the shrubs and grass, his jaw snapped, hooking the white daggers onto the small body brawling for the last few breaths. He allowed the hare to grapple before - snap - the red line nuzzled paint onto his canines, gnawing into the throat before settling the carcass down on bed of flowers.

Winter had made its departure a few weeks ago, while spring had resided, quickly turning its head to summer. The hares were rotund for the most part - he grew in joy for his pack's feast over the course of the few days. As the snow melted, the currents churned violently. He noted to himself to visit to the waterfall soon, where the fish had returned, meaty and big. Not solely for meat, but he thoroughly enjoyed the cold water warping him at depths. At dusk, he’d sometimes go for a swim, settling in front of the dribbling of the water, arms propping behind with his head tilted towards the stars. He’d let the universe question his existence. It was the only time there seemed to be peace, where everyone was at unison, small breaths with eyes fluttered shut.

“Hello,” a voice from behind churned him to an alarmed state. Adrenaline tugged at his throat, pupils dilating and eyes narrowed. Swiftly, he turned to face the latter and first instinct was to snarl at the taller male - noted: alpha, positioning in defense. “I’m not interested in being in your territory, Alpha,” Yoongi muttered through his clenched teeth, a growl threatening to rumble through his chest. “You seem to be having different intentions. What brings you here?” quirking his brow, he simmered in abiding inquisitiveness.

Previously stating to have not been the rambunctious teenager I once was, I now found it hard to believe that statement held complete truth while coming back from a day of sneaking off to visit one of my dearest friends whom I hold close to my heart. Clasping my complete reliance in his sturdy hands, the Enola member was my favorite person, the only person who knew the complete truth of the past which I hold locked up tight in the far depths of my mind where memories of a love so forbidden and otherworldly resides. Knowing it was irresponsible should have left a knot in my stomach, but already having a taste of something disallowed, but worth it left a pleasant fondness present within my chest.

Body still buzzing from the adrenaline of seeing my best friend, I saunter my way through the flourishing meadows. The tall strands of grass kiss the fabric of denim covered calves as I pause for a moment to take in the storybook worthy view. The grass was a postcard-green and knee-high to my six foot length. The mountains in the distance had peaks as cruel as fangs of an unruly beast. It was the only part of the meadow that looked off in some sort of way; the rest… The rest was paradise.

Until the squelching sound of flesh being torn echoed with the babbling brook of the lovely greenery, I turned my head to see what was happening and caught gaze of what smelt like another alpha. “Hello,” I say with a bit of strain as my curiosity peaks in favor of knowing the man who was inching closer to my pack--my territory.
