// because yihua is a bit of a workaholic, he's not very picky about his prospective love interests as he has never truly given it much thought. he would prefer them to match his temperament - gentle, even quiet - but he does not mind if they are a bit feisty or sharp-witted; once they are not irrationally recalcitrant. a sense of humour is always appreciated, as is similar fondness for children and animals. he has no preferences for physical appearances, as he believes that love can come in many different forms.

// yihua's earliest memories are of clean air and bright green grass, all pleasantries gift-wrapped in the turbulence of war. he was the young lord of a proud house of dragon daiyoukai, but was forced to cast much of his luxuries aside when his home was raided by the humans - previously seen as weak and inconsequential threats, their numbers contributed to their strength more than any supernatural sort of skill. his family thus relocated to magnolia springs with their few possessions and became the owners of a small but stately inn that grew in affluence as the years passed by. he first helped out in the kitchens, then as the bath caretaker, and finally as the front desk manager. when yihua reached his "twentieth" year, he took the mantle of ownership and has been running things ever since.

Zhi Jian Xing Ye was born into a distinguished line of bodyguards, one that is said to be traceable back to the great heroes that once served the ancient Chinese royal families. Regardless of the verity of such a tale, his family's skill cannot be denied.

He's never felt the need to dispute his preordained destiny, for he relishes the course of adrenaline through his veins when he hones his skill in the martial arts, and it has coincided with his own interests thus far. His father permitted him to explore other avenues, believing that an educated mind was the sharpest and most resourceful in the heat of battle. Thus, though Xing Ye possesses no formal education past high school, he is well-versed in several areas due to taking short courses and learning on his own.

Xing Ye left mainland China at a very tender age when his father became assigned to the Yeh family, a body comprised of powerful moguls in Taipei. It is there he received the name 'Wan Yihua', chosen both for protection and for ease of pronunciation. He ended up befriending their youngest daughter, Shuhua, before he was even bidden to take care of her; he became her legal guardian when he was just eighteen and she twelve before they were forced by extenuating circumstances to relocate to Korea. There, he has taken up a job as a guard at the high school she attends (Converse), and he continues to take care of her and her interests while pursuing his own.
