a: the government created a filtering system to bring the water from above ground down here, clean it of any nuclear issues, and send it out for us to use. thankfully, we dont have to worry about things like droughts or whatever. not to mention, the water we drink is bottled and the water we bathe in, cook with, swim in, etc is all different.
q: okay, but what about sunlight? if we’re supposed to be in some sort of underground bunker, how are we getting sunlight?
a: its another one of those government-made things. it took some time, but scientists managed to create an artificial sunlight that was good enough and authentic enough for people down here. it’s nothing like the real thing, but it’d pretty damn close.
q: how do we have food?
a: thankfully, its nothing like those astronaut or deep sea diver’s food. we grow all of our own food down here (with the help of local farmers, of course). the whole system’s complex, but while growing crops and tending to animals in climate-controlled areas, we have the ability to grow our own food for a very, very, VERY long time.
q: okay, but what about cellphone service?
a: no need to worry! there are towers everywhere to make sure you can communicate. unfortunately, you cant really connect outside of the city if jangmi (unless you manage to break through to other telephone lines, but that’s unlikely) but you’ll have no problem surfing the web, calling and texting friends, or using apps.
q: wont the city crumble and fall? there’s so many people down here, the ground is going to cave in one day.
a: actually, we will be safe! while there’s a lot of people, it’s a really large and complex city, honestly. it stretches on for miles! we arent even all that crowded, really. the south korean government created this place to protect it’s citizens, so of course it’s going to be as safe and sturdy as they can make it! we’ll be safe, no worries.
q: so... what is going on up there?
a: it’s nuclear war. and no, who you thought started it totally didnt. trump didnt accidentally press the button, north korea didnt send ‘em out first, and it wasnt even putin. you know who it was? canada. ing docile, peaceful, canada. they sent out the first nuclear missle to american land and it all went downhill from there. the major people involved are the usa, canada, france, england, russia, north korea, and china. everyone else? we saw something coming, but we didnt expect it to be canada. most other countries had something planned: some sent their population up into space (as seen in wall-e), some countries weny underground. either way, there was tension for years, and the goverbment knew about it. and so we landed ourselves here, in jangmi, to protect ourselves until this is all over.***
