@✧ kim dahyun Nodding once more Changsub found himself agreeing with Dahyun - that in itself being quite a scary thought to have - about following through with the shower and finding another room for the night. Even with how hesitant he was to do anything the staff offered, he'd rather not sleep on a wet bed with wet sheets. "I, um...yeah," he relented, subconsciously opening the door just a half an inch more in thought. "I'll find some clean clothes and head to the showers I guess." At this point he was honestly half-listening to whatever the staff member had to say, mind running on two seemingly parallel tracks of thought. One of them was focused purely on warming up under the spray of hot water, a chance to relax his aching muscles and ease his mind. The other was a little more complicated, trying to get Changsub to stay on red alert the longer he kept talking with Dahyun. The paranoia of her gaining control over him simply by being in close proximity was trying to edge its way into his demeanor, but Changsub attempted to squash its irrational screams down along with any others.
Instead, the customer ends up taking the offered towels from Dahyun's arms, giving her a minute nod of his head and a mumbled 'thank you' that he - for once - might actually mean. "It's alright," Changsub shakes his head a moment after, shortly and to himself. "I mean, I would appreciate it, if you could do that." He's still not at ease, but a third - much smaller - train of thought has joined the others, one that has Changsub thinking maybe she really is JUST getting him a new room, and that's JUST it. No tricks or anything. Maybe it's the calming lilt of her voice, or her bright-eyed gaze, but he finds himself not as on edge as he was just minutes earlier. Maybe he's just tired. Whatever the case Changsub folds the towels over one arm and stands up a little straighter now. "I could, um, meet you outside the showers if you're able to find another room? Or the front desk. I guess whichever works."

@✦ lee changsub ˢʰ "I've got about three or four here with me right now. Would you like me to bring more?" Dahyun inquired, already assuming he'd need more than just a few towels to fix the damage in his room. That was the intent, after all. As he continued speaking, she proceeded to stare at his face again. She was listening to what he was saying, of course, but his appearance was just so interesting. If he had existed before her resurrection, she probably would've done things differently. She would've still attended concerts and dressed the same way, but maybe a guy like him could've kept her off the streets. He could've protected her and despite being a long shot, kept her from getting killed. To her disappointment, however, he was a few decades too late and they were nowhere close to being what one could call 'friends'.
"A broom, dustpan, and more towels. Anything else?" She added, making a mental list and holding out one of the towels, choosing not to touch his face herself just yet. She had to play this by ear and she couldn't risk scaring him off now. "That sounds like a good plan. I wouldn't want you to catch a cold or something." She remarked, a sheepish smile gracing her lips. The older sister in her was coming out, she supposed. "Why don't you gather yourself up some clothes and whatever you need to make yourself comfortable and I'll get someone up here to try and fix the damages, hmm?" Blonde locks threatened to shroud her vision as she tilted her head slightly to one side. "Not really. We keep a handful of rooms empty in case of emergencies like this. Say a fire occurred in a room due to a cigarette or a candle but they were a long-term guest. We give them another room while they try to get things back in order again for no extra charge." The girl explained to the best of her ability. After spending almost 40 years here, she knew the rules like the back of her hand.
"That's alright. We've probably encountered worse here." She lifts her shoulders in a brief shrug, remembering several incidents that occurred when she first started that were...rather gruesome. "I'll let you have these towels and give you time to pack while I go downstairs and get you another room set-up. Would that be alright?" Knowing that he might be hesitant to agree due to the nature of the staff here and the fact that what they did daily wasn't truly a secret within the hotel's walls, she continued. "You can say no, you know. I'm not going to force you to change rooms or let me have someone try and fix your current one. Consent is still required, no matter the situation."
@✧ kim dahyun So many questions, so many pretend responses he'd have to make up. Now that the adrenaline is seeping out of his system Changsub can feel a slight exhaustion creeping over him. Right now all he wants - so unrealistically - is a warm bed and a good night's sleep, but in this kind of place...let's just say the customer doesn't expect to get any of that. "The towels would be nice." he muttered, taking a moment to glance back inside the room and survey the damage. If he even tried to sleep on the bed it'd be with a soaked comforter and a soggy pillow, not to mention several pieces of the lamp had somehow landed over his sheets. Most likely the next morning, if he'd even managed to sleep, he'd forget about the glass on the ground and step in it with bare feet. Definitely not a very good thought process to have when talking to Dahyun, because it only makes Changsub want to accept her offers more.
Facing her again he brings up a hand to wipe it over his face, getting rid of most of the droplets that came close to falling from his skin. "A broom would be nice too. I actually think I might head to the showers, warm up there...get changed." He doesn't really know why he's telling her all this, maybe because he's still a little scared out of his wits, but Changsub attempts a fake "smile for the camera" anyways.
"Aren't the other rooms filled up?" he then questioned, somewhere in the back of his mind realizing that Dahyun may have had something to do with all this. Or, at the very least, she was using it to her advantage. Again, Changsub would like nothing more than to switch rooms until his was fixed, but with the way she was speaking it was obvious that was what she wanted to. "This one...might take awhile to fix though." Changsub doesn't know why he says that either, but it's the truth. His room is trashed and there's no way it can be fixed as soon as he finishes taking a shower or just changing his clothes. He'll have to go along with whatever Dahyun has in store for him.
@✦ lee changsub ˢʰ Dahyun resisted the urge to grin like an evil mastermind in an action movie. Her plan was working out better than she had initially thought. Maybe a little too well, even. She stopped herself before she could start doing a victory dance in the hallway though. This was only the beginning of the plan and she hadn't even gotten past the hard part. Getting the ball rolling was one thing, but getting a man as stubborn as Changsub to eat one of her sweets was something completely different. "You sound unsure there." She spoke in a concerned tone, trying her best to wipe the smirk off her rosy pink lips. "That's an awful lot of water coming from beneath the door for just breaking something." She added, squatting down to wipe at the puddle with one of the towels within her grasp.
"Can I at least leave you these towels? Maybe bring up a broom or something for whatever was broken?" She then inquired, hoping her knowledge of the current situation wasn't too obvious. In her defense, she really didn't know /what/ broke, but she knew whatever happened would be enough to get the male to leave his room for a while. At least, that was her goal.
Based on the amount of water, she wondered if he was just as wet as the ground beneath her. Umber eyes blinked curiously at his stunning orbs of a brighter color, then looking over his features and noting the water dripping down his porcelain skin. God he was even prettier than she remembered. What a perfect first meal. He'd surely keep her alive for a while and with looks like those, he could even make a great plaything. That is, if one of the other staff members didn't try and steal him away. Things like that tended to happen among the other girls. "You look like you're soaked. If you'd prefer to go change, I can take your clothes downstairs to be washed and you can come get them when they're done? Wait. How much water is in your room? I can get you another room until this one is fixed back to normal?"
@✧ kim dahyun It takes a moment or two for Changsub to come back out of his surprised daze, and it's mostly because of the lamp shattering as it topples over one of the bedside tables and gets caught on the sharp corner. Another gust tugs at his jacket, carding his hair out of place as his back continues press into the door. What the hell? He knew that there was freaky going on here, what with the weird staff and how every meal was served with some sort of dessert, but Changsub didn't think whatever power was here could extend to...to this, whatever it was.
Swallowing thickly, trying to block out the noise, he pushed himself off of the door and made for one of the windows. Drops of rain splattered against his forehead and cheeks as he reached for the white frame, barely able to pull it down before it seemed to slam shut and lock itself - Changsub was lucky enough to pull his fingers back in time, or else they would have been crushed. He has to take a breath, attempting to calm the adrenaline running through his veins, before rounding the bed to do the same with the other window. The carpet squishes under his shoes, soaked through with rain and saving his footprints like snow.
Once the windows are both shut and latched, everything is quiet again, save for a boom of thunder and the continuous pitter-patter of droplets against glass. It's in this quiet that he hears a voice at his door, standing ramrod straight as he listens. Changsub can't say he remembers the girl's name, but he does, however, think he can remember her face. Strawberry blonde hair and smooth features. Alluring, if he'd consumed even a grain of sugar. Although he wants nothing more than to lock himself in his room, and refuse to answer her, the fact that she's even at the door makes it obvious she knows he's here, and so he treads carefully to the door and opens it a sliver. "I'm, uh...alright." he responds, grimacing internally because he's still covered head to foot in rain water, and a trail of it is slithering out from under the door to her feet. "Just broke something by accident."
@✦ lee changsub ˢʰ Perfect. Things were going absolutely perfect. Rosy pink lips curl into a mischievous smirk as she listens intently to the booms and crashed above, hands cradling her face in the way that most girls would when they were excited about something. Dahyun had been an employee at the hotel for a few decades now, but due to that time being short, along with the age in which she died, most of the other staff members didn't take her seriously. It wasn't her fault those s decided to kill her at the not-so-ripe age of 20 even. It also wasn't her fault she was a rebel at heart who preferred to blare 80's rock music instead of that bull soft stuff.
During her time as an employee, however, she hadn't met a man quite like Changsub. Unlike most of the other customers, he was well aware of what was going on around him. She could see that he knew what her and the other staff members were /really/ up to. She supposed that was why the other girls hadn't taken a chance on him. They tended to all be pretty lazy when it came to choosing people, figuring the easiest ones were the best ones. Dahyun was the kind of girl who preferred a challenge. And if said challenge was her ticket into gaining the respect of her fellow staff, then so be it.
Once the crashing above her ceased, she dusted off her jeans, grabbed a few towels, and sprinted up the staircase to the appropriate floor, coming to a quick stop in front of the man's room. Taking in a deep breath, she extended a hand to knock upon the stained wood, hoping this would all work out in her favor. "Mr. Lee? Is everything alright? Someone called downstairs about some loud noises and I just wanted to check in on you. It's Dahyun. The girl at the front desk?"
@✧ kim dahyun Things seem to be going wrong left and right for Changsub, so much so that he's taken to shutting himself in his room for the remainder of the evening. It's natural for him to lock the door, though he's sure the staff have a key - sure they could probably open it even without a key, and it sends a shudder down his spine as he simultaneously sighs from the day's events. Changsub had spent most of his time dodging the various vixens and sirens that populated this establishment, seemingly always ready to pounce and looking at the man as if they were literally staring through him. It was unsettling, to say the very l e a s t of the matter.
Even now, in his room, Changsub feels like there are eyes form all corners. He gingerly sits atop the softly patterned bed like it may just swallow him up, showing vulnerability for once if only because he's in private. So, when he finally allows his shoulders to drop in a fake sense of safeness, of course something would happen to startle the daylights out of him. The windows slam open, bringing in with them the howling storm outside Changsub hadn't even noticed. Water pelts the side tables, floor and his clothes as he jumps up, backing towards the door and watching with wide eyes as the wind whips his curtains up and almost tears them off.
What the HELL is happening?
