@↓ Jeno /my eyes flickering over your painting and an impressed look settles on my face, there's a playfulness in my tone when i bow to you in a respectful manner;
i bow to your excellent skills, paint master.
/straightening myself up with a soft laugh, a genuine grin on my lips;
it really does look great though. you should hang it at your place to show it off to others.
@↓ Jeno /departs with a friendly smile and moves onto the next student, eventually the hour ends and most students have finished up, they slowly trickle out and i sigh softly once they have left, taking care of moving their canvases off to the side to dry until they can pick them up, stretches my hands over my head with a soft sigh, thinking i should get back to my work before looking over at you with a curious look;
how is it going? are you liking the painting better now?
@↓ Jeno when you paint something close to your heart, the effort matters a lot more than the technique sometimes.
/my eyes scan the dirt you mention and i hum in agreement, but i reassure with a smile;
if you had a little green and yellow, it won't make it look so muddy. try it again with some more paint thinner and layer the colors thin. i have to go see the others but if you need more time after class ends, you're free to stay. i stay here for awhile after anyways working on my own and i don't mind company.
@↓ Jeno /blinks in surprise at your revelation but then smiles warmly because i definitely see the intent behind the painting, it looks cozy in a way;
that's really sweet...i can tell you took a lot of care with it.
/my grin widens because i always like to see the students put something so personal in a painting;
lucky for you, autumn is my favorite season too so i might be biased on saying i like your painting a lot.
@↓ Jeno /sharp eyes assess the painting with a more critical eye, nodding in approval when you're able to mimic the motion;
good job, you adapt pretty fast. i like the color scheme you're using too.
/smiles gently again, eyes flickering between you and the painting;
want to tell me about your painting? i'm curious about it.
@↓ Jeno /as i make my rounds around the class, i stop behind you and observe your techniques, hearing you mutter yourself and it's not until i hear you swear that i can't help my small snicker, as if pleading with the colors would make it easier, steps up next to you and picks up a different brush;
it's annoying huh? took me weeks to figure it out and by then i was covered from head to toe in it.
/grins at you and softens the brush with some paint thinner and hands it to you;
try to blend it out with a brush with less dense bristles and more paint thinner.
/and then gently tapping your wrist;
and loosen up your wrist. try to use your whole arm to blend instead of just moving that part for a more seamless look.
@↓ Jeno constructive criticism is what i always strive for, besides praise of course.
/grins at your obvious excitement and nods my head;
you can come in here any time to grab supplies that catch your attention. art is all about fun after all.
/leads you back to your easel with a more friendly smile, already looking forward to working with you;
i'll come back around during your private work time, okay?
/departs with a wave and heads off to the front of the class, today we work with painting oils and i lead the class through some basic principles in how to work with them since it's tougher medium but quite fun, i work at my own easel for a bit before i go around to each student;
@↓ Jeno /my lips twitch from your nervous laughter, finding your energy a bit endearing and reminding me of the first time i took a class for the first time;
sounds like your serious about this then. i haven't to say, i'm looking forward to seeing what you can do.
/shakes my head at your question;
they're for all students to use.
/pauses before smiling and beckoning you to follow me towards the supply closet that contains a variety of different materials for you to use;
you can always come in here to get what you want. you don't have to stick what i put out for the lesson.
@↓ Jeno /while I can tell your visibly nervous but my smile grows at your admission, it's the important thing to be excited because i want all the the students to have some fun;
i'm happy to hear you say that. have you done a class like this before or done something on your own?
/inquires with a tilt of my head, i'm always curious to know about what brings people here;
@↓ Jeno /setting up the easels and brush kits is easy enough before class, it never takes me more than 30 minutes and the rest of the time i like to talk with the students as they trickle in, especially with the new students who always seemed a little more nervous but most are excited and that always makes me pleased, there are only a couple this time around and i decide to introduce myself, i head off towards you first and approach with a slight smile, bowing slightly in greeting, i'm not an overly friendly person but i always make an effort to at least be amiable with the students, hoping they aren't too intimidated by their surroundings;
you're one of the new students, yes? i'm wooyoung, the instructor for the class. i'm glad you're able to join us today.
