°opens the creaky door to the roof, sketchbook nestled under one arm and lunch box in the same hand; settles in the sunniest spot in an effort to combat the chilly weather°
Let's see what she packed today..
°I mutter to no one, unclasping the braces and setting each compartment out for easy access, revealing an array of side dishes in the first two and leftover stir-fried spicy chicken in the last°
Way too much. Again.
°lightly shakes my head, a fond smile on my lips, and reaches for some of the braised tofu°
@Kiera Somehow like that? But, not really, like, speak politely. And verbal cues and actions are important like bow your head, greet them whenever you see them, do not randomly hit them--I don't follow those things that much though.
/laughs a bit at my own attitude as I walk with you/ Since I want to be friends with everyone...
@Kiera /waits for you to gather your stuff so that we can head to the vending machine/
Which aspect of Korea would you like to get to know? Ahh... I guess, we should talk about honorifics.
The use of honorifics is a really big deal since older people can get offended if you talk like you're the same age.
@Kim Sohee I'd appreciate that alot actually!
/nods my head happy we seemed to be going to get food, quickly gathers my belongings into my hand before coming back
Let's go! Oh-also..can you tell me more about korea? I know nothing
@Kiera That's great! If my "happy" rubs off on people, then, I'd like to shower you with more happiness.
/laughs a bit when your tummy growl/
We should grab something to eat then.
@Kim Sohee Mm probably not or you're just extremely infectious? Meaning you're just -- your happy mood rubs off
/my tummy growls and i sheepishly chuckle
Heh..didn't have breakfast
@Kiera /nods my head, grinning when you talk about your improvement/
I guess you have improved. Although I don't know you from before, you do not seem very awkward with me so I guess you are not as awkward as you think. /shrugs my shoulders/
/taps my chin, thinking if I happened to see a vending machine around the school/
I haven't been here for too long so I am not quite sure but I guess there is one around the hallway.
@Kim Sohee See! I'm not the only one! Hmfph..maybe she does but I'd wish she'd tell me what this greater plan is
/covers my mouth as i laugh softly; finding you extremely amusing
I-i can definitely tell !/laughs softly before clearing my throat and lowering my hand/ really? You think so? Well i guess I'm making improvements
/gently sways
Aah right right..It's fine! Hm..do you have vending machines here? To get snacks?
@Kiera Although I don't understand how moving to another country can make anyone's life easier, maybe she does have a good reason as to why she chose to do so.
/nods my head proudly as a reply to your question about me being a social butterfly/
I like meeting new people and new friends so I guess I am. Meeting new friends makes me all jittery and excited and hyper and loud! /flails my arms/ Anyway, you're not being awkward right now. You're totally cool actually.
/my mouth forms an 'o' in realization/ Right, you have a different culture. We really care about formalities here so I don't want to offend you.
@Kim Sohee Mhm~ we got here a few days ago. My mom wanted to quote"make life easier" like moving to a different country was gonna make life easier
/tilts my head to the side alittle, still smiling from your infectious excitement
You're a social butterfly i take it? I'm not all to good with people, kinda awkward if I'm honest
/blinking alittle at the question, alittle confused as to why you asked that since back home we don't/
What do you mean? Ofcourse speak however you wish!..ah it's so weird~ we usually don't ask that sort of stuff, we just speak to.eachother
@Kiera /nods my head in understanding, dropping my hand to my side comfortably as I listen to you speak/
Oh... are you new to Korea in general as well? That is so cool! /clasps my hands together, looking at you in awe/
I mean, even if you are just new to this city, it is still cool. It's a bit hard to, you know, adjust to new surroundings and to new people. Must be exhausting. /pauses a bit, thinking/
Although personally, I wouldn't really mind it because I love meeting new people. /pauses once again when your statement about being a senior finally dawned to me/
Oh, wait, you're a senior? But, you don't mind me speaking casually, do you?
@Kim Sohee /your cheerful nature making me blink alittle before a smile of my own soon dawns upon my features; almost like an infectious aura. I carefully turned to place my feet on the roof and stand up with my things safely placed on the ledge
Mhm! I'm sure we will, but pleased to meet you I'm Keira or key, I'm a senior
/moves alittle closer to place my hand in yours in a gentle handshake
I'm new to the city in general heh so i kinda came late..my mom had a fit
/my smile turned alittle sheepishly, my hand reaching up to gently play with the mop of curls on my head
@Kiera /smiles widely when you turn back to me, liking the fact that I have a chance to make another new friend; clasps my hands together and walks even closer towards you, my smile never leaving my face as I do so/
Hello! /waves both of my hand in an excited manner/
Since this school is newly opened, I bet you're new too so I hope we get along well. My name is Kim Sohee, a sophomore. It's nice to meet you~ /offers my hand for a handshake/
@Kim Sohee /my fingers smoothed along the lines on the paper to dust off the excess eraser markings that laid there like annoying little bugs on a porcelain floor; i thought i was alone until i felt the presence slowly but surely coming closer to me from behind. I took my headphones off and hung them around my shoulders before i turned my head to look at you; who was unfamiliar
Oh-hello..
@Kiera /is bored out of my mind so I decide to walk around the campus; arrives at the rooftop and sees someone sitting on the edge with dangling feet; panics a little, thinking that I am about to see death but figures that it isn't like that at all; slowly approaches you and clears my throat, careful not to startle you/
/the peace and serenity on the roof top was my favorite past time;climbing up onto the roof to sit on the edge and dangle my feet, watching the people below go about their day without a care in the world
/my sketch book was open and i began to draw the scenery before me with a smile on my face
