It's roughly 12 am when you go up to the dorm rooftop in order to induce the sleep that evades you. You expect to see a few things up there: the sky and stars, a couple of lawn chairs left by someone that made a mental note to grab them days ago and then forgot...maybe some birds. What you don't expect to see is ukulele girl in one of said lawn chairs and a projector set up next to her that's playing A Tale of Two Sisters onto the wall. You do though...and it's kind of weird, but a curious kind of weird. So, you take a seat in the other chair and do as the Romans do.
You spent almost the same amount of time at the Gwangson Hospice as Jihoon - maybe you were a volunteer, maybe you had family there as well - either way, you and Jihoon formed an odd sort of friendship that came with the mutual understanding of your mutual location. When her mother died, Jihoon stopped coming around and you two lost all contact. What are the odds of running into an eerily familiar face on the streets of Seoul after seven years? Improbable, but stranger things have happened.
Just because it isn't her career goal anymore, doesn't mean that Jihoon stopped ice skating altogether. In fact, she heads to the indoor skating rink quite regularly to skate around as it's an ideal environment for thinking. And even over-thinking in some cases. You might be an awful skater and you might also be amazing, either way you and Jihoon smack - ungracefully - into one another on the ice, making for one of the weirdest ways she's ever met someone.
Crying during your audition isn't exactly the sign of a good one but for whatever miraculous reason, Jihoon was accepted. Still, it seems like anyone that was there or heard about the audition through fast-traveling word is walking on eggshells around her, days after the fact. She would love for people to just treat her like any other trainee, but you can't always get what you want. Her resting sad face doesn't really help things either. Despite Jihoon's insistence that she's fine, you keep trying to convince her to hang out as a welcome (a thinly veiled effort to cheer her up). You can't really fix what isn't broken, but maybe a friendship could come out of the ordeal.
Just checked back in here because I had a few hours to spend. To ThisIsMyLife, I'm happy you did this again, and I hope this place grows and everybody in here has a blast! :)
