You don't have to read everything here! Just this top section above, and the description of your character's creature type at the least.
All creatures have a monster form and a "daily" form. A daily form is basically IC speak for their human form. For example, If you choose to be a yeti, then you have your daily form (how they'd look as a human) and your monster form (a big, white-haired, bigfoot kinda thing). Make sense? If not, please ask questions!
*Death: With regards to this topic in the roleplay, obviously you may be a creature of death (zombie, banshee, etc.). What we don't allow in the RP is for anyone's character to die in the current time / setting. Make sense? If not, please ask questions!
Also, please remember that no humans exist in this roleplay! So werewolves were born from other werewolves, vampires from other vampires, etc.
Depending on the creature you join as, please read their entire description in this section of the roleplay! They may have different quirks or abilities based in this universe than in others, and we'd like you to stick to those. Thank you!

Any description in red means you cannot apply as that creature currently.

Vampires are, of course, our fangy friends of the night. Although sunlight doesn't kill them it can be quite irritating. In order to survive they live on a diet of animal blood, and take trips to the blood bank to drink from various donors (every creature tastes different). Vampires can only be killed by a stake to the heart, although garlic will give them quite the rash。
It seems like every full moon these guys just get hairier and hairier. Unlike their myths, however, werewolves are rarely the vicious, bloodthirsty monsters they've been made out to be. while unable to stop a shift during the full moon, they tend to behave more like a typical puppy than something rabid and bitey. They also still have their full sound mind in monster form, just not the vocal chords to speak or thumbs to grab with. Werewolves in this universe do not have a/b/o dynamics. The males do, however, have a knot (science has yet to find an explanation for this, the legend is that the first werewolf was cursed by a sorcerer)。
Most banshees get a bad reputation for being killers, when in reality they just signal someone's death. A banshee's scream is so shrill and loud it can burst eardrums and shatter windows. Many monsters like to attend a Sheepera (Banshee Opera) with ear plugs. Banshees also tend to wear a lot of perfume or cologne to hide that graveyard smell they carry around with them. In monster form a banshee has completely white eyes, grey-ish skin and no legs (their legs are replaced by a whispy, ghost-like tail)。
Quick, close your eyes! Just kidding - by mandate every gorgon is required to wear sunglasses, tinted goggles, etc. in order to hide their eyes. Of course, this was especially enforced after one accidentally turned the Monsica president to stone. The snakes atop a gorgon's head all have a mind of their own, so don't blame the gorgon if you get bit! Gorgons even have special salons they go to in order to keep the snakes atop their head happy and healthy. In a daily form the snakes do not go away - they're hidden behind a glamour of sorts, so they only appear to be normal hair。
Well-versed in archery and racing centaurs are known to be a sport-oriented race. Many famous sportsman are centaurs as they're also quite strong and have good stamina. Do not ask to ride on a centaur in their monster form, as that is reserved only for family and lovers. In their daily form you'll know if someone is a centaur by a specific magical tattoo on their right upper arm - this is a blessing from the forest in which they were born, and is different for every centaur。
Shapeshifters can be told apart from other races by the silver of their eyes. This color only changes when they shift it purposely or shift fully into another form. However, while a shapeshifter can shift into a zombie or a vampire or any other creature, they do not have the powers of that creature - just that creature's appearance. Many famous thieves in history turned out to be shapeshifters impersonating people, so now every business employs an eye scanner to make sure people are who they say they are. Shapeshifters tend to get a bad rep for their history, but not all seek to cause trouble for others。
Be carefuly - looking at an eldritch abomination in monster form will drive you insane. These creatures first existed outside our dimension where the laws of physics and the universe as we know it do not apply. They are the only creature whose age is unknown, many consider them ancient. After entering our universe they gained a daily form, and are legally barred from entering monster form within our universe (they are able to travel between our dimension and the outside one - which has no name - with ease)。
Many People consider Nagas to be "land mermaids" although that really isn't the case. A naga is a monster that has a large snake tail as their bottom half, in place of what would normally be legs. Some nagas even have eyes like a basilisk, in which, like a gorgon, they legally have to wear sunglasses or other eye covers in public. Many nagas enjoy going to the dry spa as they are cold-blooded, often falling asleep over heated stones and sand。
Nobody knows where exactly the first zombie came from. They just popped up out of the ground one day a few decades ago, mostly from ancient graves and unmarked tombs. whatever it was, the zombies slowly began to move into the city, and it was later discovered that they too had a daily form - at least, with a proper supply of brains for them to eat, which are generously donated by the (Un)dead diner facility. This company collects the brains of organ donors and any recently deceased animals, so zombies don't have to worry about running out of food. zombies are generally a little slow, but when they're hungry their speed and bite is unmatched。
Also known as the abominable snowman (in more archaic terms) the yeti is native to high mountains and frigid snow. Obviously, their favorite season happens to be winter. Unlike how they've been portrayed in legends (as they were once thought of to be mythical creatures) Yetis are very welcoming and warm-hearted. Many have a talent for baking, which is why you'll often find bakeries owned by long lines of yeti families. Although not as strong as the season itself, yetis have the ability to make mini snowstorms, and bring the temperature down whenever they enter a room。
Someone needs to call the fire department! Or, waiit...nevermind it was just another rebirth, false alarm. With an internal temperature far above what other creatures can handle a phoenix runs hot, enough that many work in the "cuddling" industry during winter time in order to warm up others. however, watch out! Every few decades a phoenix will go through rebirth, which usually involves a lot of flames and burning before they rise from the ashes again。
Although they're called "merpeople" the more correct term would be "siren" as these underwater lovers aren't so pretty. In monster form a mer-person has razor sharp teeth, all black eyes, claws, fangs and several other grotesque features. When they sing, however, it puts up a sort of glamour to make them appear like a beautiful mermaid of myth. Nowadays instead of luring sailors to their deaths a merperson takes joy in causing mayhem for others. There is a law that bans them from singing in public though, so you don't have to worry too much - unless, of course, you like to go swimming in the ocean at night, since the law doesn't apply to bodies of water between the hours of 12 & 6AM。
Giants are rather interesting creatures. Lots of monsters aren't aware of the fact that giants have psychic abilities, such as telepathy and telekinesis. Most think giants are just...giant, and that's that. Giants are, in fact, well-known sheep herders and often live in places like mountain caves or tall forests. Those that live in the city actually commute from a gigantic boarding house just outside monstropolis, where giants can live their day to day life in monster form, not having to worry about crushing everyone else beneath their feet (small giants are ~50 feet tall and big giants are ~100 feet tall - the tallest recorded giant in history was a whopping ~123 feet)。
Out of all bird type creatures the thunderbird is easily the largest. When flying in monster form a thunderbird is able to draw its wings together and summon thunderstorms from the sky. As such, they're often called upon in times of dry weather to start rain. thunderbirds - even in daily form - enjoy sleeping in high places, so you'll often find them snoring away in bunk beds or hammocks. just like centaurs, you cannot ride on the back of a thunderbird unless you are a close friend or family member, or a lover。
Perhaps one of the strangest creatures you'll ever meet. Other than being super stretchy and squishy a slimeperson doesn't really have any special powers. they can move any way they want to in monster form, as well as grow three times their normal size if needed. Slimepeople come in all different sorts of colors, and this is shown in their daily form by the color of their tongue (so if in monster form their slime is colored orange, then their tongue in daily form is colored orange). Really just...slimy. That's about it。
