thirst for knowledge? you may happily acquire a lot of that here. be careful though— some wolves tend to use the tranquility of this place to their advantage. hey! no making out over there!
"If you don't get hurt much, then it means it is good. And I do not think there are pups that are much stronger than you, anyway." Jungwoo says, chuckling under his breath softly as he shakes his head lightly, not quite believing that there are wolves that are stronger than him when he is training them. "Yeah! I should just stop overthinking, I guess." He said, agreeing with the alpha that he should not stress and think about the award, some nice food in his stomach and of course, the good company of the alpha. Whining playfully once his hair was ruffled by Wonwoo, Jungwoo watched him put the book back and nodded his head eagerly when he warned him about not being late. "Yes, captain!" He saluted playfully before laughing softly, waving at him as he shot him a wink before he headed out.
@☼ (ø) jungwoo k. "Perfect, then," Wonwoo hums in acknowledgement, quite happy to have found someone that he enjoyed and was willing to go with him. "I'm not sure how much I like being tossed around, but it's part of my job. Getting a little hurt in order to teach others how to hurt someone worse, I guess. The best people I work with are omegas, since when you don't have all that brute strength you rely much more on timing and intuition." He smiled at the other's cute face of worry. "Don't stress, it'll just be some nice practice that might end in some nice food, yeah?" Wonwoo reached over to ruffle the boys hair, trying to relax him a little bit. "Hey, well, I have to get going...but I'll see you tomorrow, right?" He asked with a hum, putting the book back as he started walking off. "Don't be late, Jungwoo, or I might just take off without you." He shot the other a quick, teasing wink before heading out to the rest of his schedule.
@☆ (α) wonwoo j. "Yes, that would be nice. Around four sounds good! I am sure of that." Jungwoo says, chuckling softly once he heard Wonwoo say that, knowing that he would be safe returning back at night with an alpha like him by his side, not doubting it for one second even. Flashing back a smile at Wonwoo, Jungwoo laughed a bit more when he went along with his teasing, nodding lightly. "That is good, it makes me feel relieved, somehow. But maybe there are people who like to be tossed around, you never know. Well, yeah. Alphas are known to be stubborn and to stand their ground, but when they get hotheaded or something like that, they lose their balance, train of thoughts on what they should do next and they just get thrown to the ground or maybe even beaten." He said, agreeing because he has seen something like that happening quite a few times already, shaking his head lightly at the memories flashing back into his mind. Showing that you have power and everything meant nothing if you can't defend yourself properly without being childish and in someone's face meant nothing - everyone would laugh at an alpha like that. "Ooh, that sounds nice! But it might take me a while to do so?" He said, the sentence ending up as a question, mostly to himself as he doubted he would be able to pin the alpha down on the floor, biting into his lower lip as he thought about it. It would definitely be hard and it will require a lot of work, but maybe he could do it? Or not. "Yeah, I know that. But I feel like a coward if I just run away, even though I know I would not stand a chance if I even tried to fight back or something along those lines. I don't even have to know how to fight, but maybe throwing one punch that gets someone unconscious would be better than running away through the forest, all alone." He admitted, chuckling softly under his breath, shrugging his shoulders slightly.
@☼ (ø) jungwoo k. "Yeah, it would be nice to have some company, then. How about we start heading there around 4? That way, you'll be able to catch the sunset from there, and nobody'll give you trouble heading back at night with me around." Wonwoo rubbed the back of his head as he flashed the other a sweet smile. God, what had gotten into him for him to be acting so silly...perhaps the other's childish yet gentle demeanor was just enough for Wonwoo to get comfortable around. "Don't worry, I'm not gonna start anything like that. I don't think I'd have many clients if I worked like that, just tossing people to the ground. And I don't judge anyone, regardless of strength. All I want is for everyone to be safe even while they're alone. Even alphas have been struggling these days...all these big buff alphas are so hot headed and cocky that they get thrown to the ground without even realizing they're falling." He chuckles a little at the thought. Really, cubs and omegas were seemingly always the ones who absorbed information and used it wisely, while alphas would be a bit more difficult and brush off his suggestion. "Though, how about this - if you can show off your strength and get me pinned to the ground at any time sparring with me, I'll buy you dinner sometime. Maybe that'll get you incentivized enough to get nice and strong, yeah?" Slowly, he lowered the book, feeling a bit more confident in his own skin once more as he saw how shy the other was getting. Maybe it was hopeless, trying to get these two polar opposite introverts to not get flustered or brash with their words. "Hey, whatever works for you to keep yourself safe is more than welcome, right? No shame in that."
@☆ (α) wonwoo j. "Oh, no. You are not too forward, don't even worry about that." Jungwoo says softly, chuckling a bit under his breath before nodding his head lightly a few or so times at Wonwoo's question. "I am. I am free tomorrow. And that is great! I am looking forward to it!" He says, a hint of excitement in the tone of his voice as he bounces on his heels for a moment, unconsciously; he laughs out loud, covering his mouth to muffle the laugh because they are, in fact, in a library at the moment, trying not to get them both kicked out by laughing out loud. "I was afraid you would say you were going to toss me around. But I think I am more afraid of throwing jabs at you since you will see how weak I am. Or maybe I am too strong for you, you never know - I might even toss you around." He said in a teasing tone, wiggling his eyebrows at his words in a playful manner, mentally scolding himself not to seem like a creep or a weirdo in Wonwoo's eyes, his humor sense being quite boring and almost childish, in his own opinion - the lack of friends and just the company of a fellow pack member made a huge difference and since he is a loner, he does not interact much with the rest of his pack, mostly isolating himself from the rest of the members. No one seemed to be bothered by it, so Jungwoo was at least left alone and not asked about why he does that at all. "Ah, it is. Quite fitting, actually, I agree." Smiling, he nodded lightly, agreeing with the alpha male, looking away once he hid his face behind a book he was holding, letting out a small chuckle, quiet enough for the both of them to hear it only. "Thank you, that really means a lot." He said, smiling warmly at the alpha male before the tips of his ears and his cheeks went red once again when he called him a cute little thing, betraying his inner feelings, wanting to hide behind a book as well, but it was a shame he wasn't holding one, leaving him no choice but to look away shyly, clearing his throat before he replied, avoiding eye contact with the alpha. "I can't fight, but I can run pretty fast. I think." He said, scratching the back of his neck in embarrassment, yet again.
@☼ (ø) jungwoo k. "Not to be too forward, but are you free tomorrow, perhaps? I have the next few days off, I was planning to go up there anyways..." Wonwoo wasn't quite sure what compelled him to lie, he really only saved his hikes up there for special occasions...but this, meeting someone he was actually quite fond of, was a bit of a special occasion in itself. "Don't worry, I'm not gonna toss you around or anything. I mostly teach defense, so it'd be a lot more like you throwing jabs at me." He grinned a bit at the thought of the smaller boy doing a takedown on him--he seemed far too sweet and innocent for any of that. Though if cubs could do it with okay success, he was sure the other could benefit from it as well. As much as he hated to admit it, the woods were getting less and less safe each day, so helping anyone would be a welcome weight off his shoulders. "Me? Oh, thank you. My father named me it. It means to protect others at a distance. Quite fitting, I'd say." Almost too fitting when the name was given by a relative stranger, but he'd take it. He'd always thought his name was quite bland, though, but when the other said it, it was smooth like honey. It brought a slight pink tinge to his cheeks as he tried to casually hide his face behind a book to be a little bess flustered before showing himself once more. "Don't worry about me, I can hold my own well these days. Any time you're within shouting distance, I'll lend you a hand. For the times I'm not...it'd be well advised that you get some help to hold your own the deeper you go in those woods, at least. Hell, even other stella members can be dangerous if given the right motivation. I'd hate to see a cute little thing like you hurt in the middle of such nonsense."
@☆ (α) wonwoo j. Jungwoo nodded his head eagerly at the suggestion from Wonwoo, the alpha in front of him. "I want to, yes, of course. I am already imagining how it looks like." He says, chuckling softly under his breath as he rubs the back of his neck shyly, not wanting to seem too straightforward and pushy with saying things like that when they have met each other for the second time now, but it seems like it is the first time they are meeting because they have not talked much the first time they met, back at that time when Wonwoo saved him from the hunters. "I am up for that. But don't be too tough on me? I am really slow at learning and it can be difficult to people - just a warning beforehand." He said, smiling softly at the male, noticing that he shifted his attention to the bookshelf, looking down at the floor for a moment before looking back at him, into his eyes. "T-thank you for saying that, it really means a lot. You have a pretty name too." He said, almost mumbling under his breath, his cheeks painted in a deeper shade of red this time, making him look anywhere but into his eyes, feeling too shy all of a sudden - because of his comment. "That way you don't have to jump in and save me again or get hurt while doing so." He joked, shrugging his shoulders lightly at the alpha male as he made eye contact once again, the tips of his ears getting slightly red too because of the confession that he would like to see him strolling around here than there where are hunters nearby.
@☼ (ø) jungwoo k. Noticing his own childish smile coming out he quickly hid it, feeling embarrassed to show such weakness to someone, especially someone he'd just met. This was a huge reason that Wonwoo never opened up to others: opening yourself up and being vulnerable can get you killed if it's with the wrong person. Even someone as gentle as the boy in front of him...you could never know, right? "Yes, it's absolutely amazing. One day that I'm not training I'd gladly take you. Um, if you want, of course..." God, what was he doing, he thought to himself, telling a stranger all of his favorite things, giving him all of his personal details...it felt so odd after so long of speaking only when needed. "Everyone is strong enough to defend themselves if they have enough discipline...maybe I can teach you sometime. I wouldn't want you to be in such a difficult situation again." Starting to feel a bit flustered by the interaction, he turns his attention back to the bookshelf, absentmindedly reading the spines of them for something worth reading. "Jungwoo...what a cute name that is. It really suits you, you know." His eyes meet back with the other's as he sees his sweet smile as he laughs, making him smile a bit as well. "Yes...I'm much happier to see you strolling around here than some hunter infested grounds."
@☆ (α) wonwoo j. Jungwoo let out a small, quiet chuckle when the alpha confessed that even he didn't know what most alphas think, finding it somehow endearing, just to hear those words leave the other's lips; he ended up nodding his head lightly, agreeing silently to what the alpha said, knowing that it would be true, probably. Jungwoo shot a small smile back at the alpha, noticing that it was actually the first emotion he saw on the other's face beside recognition when they bumped into each other. "Yes, exactly." He commented, nodding his head once again, humming under his breath. "It's okay! I can walk quite a bit. Especially when you describe it so wonderfully to me. I can only imagine how it looks like. And I already love it a whole lot." He exclaimed excitedly, feeling really positive about this, knowing that the alpha is slowly warming up to him as he is to the alpha, slowly but surely. "You are very welcome. The work you do means a lot to your pack, I am sure of that. It is, I wish I could do more than just hide from the sight of hunters and other wolves when I am in a dangerous situation. I wish I could do more, period." Jungwoo said, sighing softly as he ruffled his bangs slightly, looking up at the alpha when he asked him for his name, eventually introducing himself even. "Oh. My apologies. My name is Kim Jungwoo, it is really nice to meet you once again, Wonwoo ssi. This time in a nicer surrounding though." He said, chuckling softly as he fiddled with his fingers slightly nervously, hoping that he isn't creepy or something to the other male, a habit of his was to make everything awkward, whatever he was doing - just because he was a bit of an anti-social person. But he is trying to fix that, and if he could say so himself, he is slowly getting better at socialising with other wolves.
@☼ (ø) jungwoo k. "Even I don't know how most alphas think, though. But I know if it came down to fighting against an outside threat or fighting against each other, we'd all pick the outsider. At least we know what to expect with another pack of wolves, right?" Wonwoo gave the other a bit of a smile, surprised at how interested he was in the other's words. Perhaps it was because, despite everything, they seemed to have a lot in common with each other. "We'll have to venture to the waterfall sometime. It's quite a hike, so be warned...But I promise you it's worth it. Especially when the sun is just starting to rise. It's the one place you don't hear busy chatter all the time." He's a bit surprised to see the wonder in the other's eyes at the words, but it just makes him all the more eager to take him sometime. The rest of his words make Wonwoo the one to feel a bit starry eyed, not used to the recognition. With what he did, it was often a thankless job, with his trainees simply thinking he was over the top and brash. Not that he minded the complaints, though, as he knew that it was only to make them better off in the long run. "Yeah...thank you. Teaching cubs especially is a passion of mine. It's good to know that you're actively helping the future of the pack and maybe even saving a few lives." At least, that's what he liked to think. With so many tragedies plaguing wolves from both sides, it was nice to feel like he was doing something about it. He didn't know why, but he felt some kind of trust with the other boy, something he wasn't used to even in his own pack. Something that made him break one of his own rules. "Say, what's your name? I'm Jeon Wonwoo."
@☆ (α) wonwoo j. "It is. I would not know how an alpha thinks, though, so I cannot say anything and be one hundred percent sure that they would do exactly as how I said they would." Jungwoo says, smiling softly at the alpha in front of him, shaking his head lightly at his sentence. "That would be really nice, yes. I don't know what I would do with myself if I wasn't able to take a late night walk or something of that sort. Between working and reading, it sometimes gets boring, the same old routine everyday over and over, for quite a while now." He says, jutting out his lower lip in an unconscious pout before smiling softly. "Oh woah, no. I have never reached the waterfall. It must be really beautiful there." He said, eyes twinkling as he only imagined how it must have been looking, a peaceful and beautiful, untainted place reserved for quiet people like himself and obviously, the alpha who he is talking to. "That is really great to know, actually. No matter how small or big you are, I am really sure you do a great job. And more than that." He praised him without even knowing the extent of the other's strength and discipline, but Jungwoo was not one to judge about height or anything else - if the alpha said he is good at what he does, Jungwoo trusts him - no matter if he is from the enemy pack, he trusts him about that. He would not have saved him back there just to kill him or do him any harm later on, right?
@☼ (ø) jungwoo k. He a brow as he noticed the shy blush on the other's cheeks, making a mental note that the other liked being called such things. "I'm not so sure, but it's worth a shot if things get worse, at least." For being a pack alpha, Wonwoo wasn't so much of a people person, often keeping to himself in his secluded little house. His alpha tendencies only really seemed to show when someone was in danger, particularly omegas and children. He didn't partake in such frivolous feuds, instead simply trying to make sure everyone stayed safe and was able to fend for themselves. "Well, perhaps you could do more adventuring with some company, then. Have you ever traveled out far enough to reach the waterfall? If you're a reader, it's the best place to just relax and read up." It was also the place he was never disturbed, but he didn't include that at the risk of seeming too introverted. "Ah, yes...I know I'm smaller than some alphas, but I'm a damn good trainer. Mostly defense for omegas and cubs, so they can protect themselves against even the biggest alphas. It's surprising what a bit of discipline does if you push yourself."
@☆ (α) wonwoo j. Jungwoo's cheeks become a shade of rosy red once those few simple words leave the alpha's lips, chuckling softly under his breath, feeling even smaller than he actually is at the words, nodding lightly in agreement, because he should take precautions in dangerous times like these. "I'm sure our alphas would be kind enough to help out? Especially if the threat was meant for our pack as well. They would handle the situation well. I think." He says, not knowing a thing about alpha business nor why their packs hated each other so much, but he wasn't one to ask anyways. "Ah yes, I like finding new paths and new things, so you could say that I am a wanderer too, in a way. Oh woah, that would actually be really nice. You are?" He asks, tilting his head to the side, curious about the other one suddenly, finding it interesting that he is a trainer.
@☼ (ø) jungwoo k. "Of course, anywhere you're able to take precautions please do. You're a tiny, cute little thing. It can be quite troubling." A smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he worried a bit over the boy. Perhaps it was because he protected him before, but he had a strange urge to keep him safe. Or maybe it was because he was just a small little thing. He wondered if he had people looking our for him-a mate, or a family- but decided against asking. The less he knew about the other, the easier it would be to not care, right? "Hopefully it's just a few stray people. We could take care of that quite easily, at least. Especially if the packs ever worked together instead of breathing down each other's throats." Sure, Wonwoo was always up for a spar with the other pack, but in troubling times, he had to wonder if they were really so different. Though with him and the other boy being such stark contrasts, perhaps there was something to that. "Yes, it could be nice. I'm something of a wanderer myself. Maybe I could even teach you some self defense if you needed, I am a trainer after all..."
@☆ (α) wonwoo j. Jungwoo pouted unconsciously once the alpha said that he is no hero and hardly even a decent person - but there he was, a few weeks ago, literally saved his life from those stupid hunters - and he acted as if he didn't do much at all. It really bothered Jungwoo, but he wouldn't say anything out loud because he was sure there was something the other was either hiding or he just wasn't good at receiving compliments and Jungwoo wasn't one to shame a person because of that. "Yes, that is true. It's only a matter of time until they gang up on us. It's scary to think or to say out loud, but I think something bad is cooking and they're only waiting to attack at this point." He says, shaking his head lightly and hoping that he was just having a weird, wrong gut feeling about all of this. "I didn't even think of that. Thank you for the suggestion. And it would be nice if you could join me on a walk or two, then. So I-I could repay you, yes."
@☼ (ø) jungwoo k. Wonwoo can't help but wonder to himself why the other boy was being so kind. Perhaps he was just a little wary of strangers, but he didn't feel like he'd done much. He'd do the same for any stranger, not that he'd let the other know that. Part of him really didn't want to shatter the other's perception of him, that he was just some sweet, generous guy, but it would have to happen eventually. "I'm no hero, hardly even a decent person. It's just a nuisance to hear those damn hunters, and getting any more of you will only encourage them," He grumbles a bit at the shy boy. "If you want to pay me back, just...maybe let me --o-or some other alpha--go with you on your walks from now on, yeah?"
@☆ (α) wonwoo j. He hummed under his breath as the alpha said that he guesses he just got lucky, feeling slightly guilty for having the male saving him from the hunters because he was out so late, but what happened, happened and he could not change the fact it already happened, it's in the past, anyways. The thing about hunters being more frequent at both their lands freaked him out a little bit and getting reminded that he's an omega only made it worse. Omegas and lighter fur wolves were more sought out for and he was just that. Maybe late night strolls and short walks could wait for an amount of time until the alphas get rid of the hunters. "Yes, okay. I will try my best to stay in at late nights like that one. And I will tell the rest of my pack, of course. But thank you for being so kind. I know that the pack members aren't super nice or nice at all to the members of the other pack, but it was nice knowing that you would save a member that isn't from your own pack. When you didn't need to." Jungwoo said, scratching the back of his neck timidly.
@☼ (ø) jungwoo k. "Unfortunately so," He answered simply. "It was only last week I found some charred up wolves, only within a few miles. I guess you got lucky. A lot of them have taken off, but some seem quite persistent." Wonwoo scrunched up his nose in thought. He really wished he could have been home just an hour earlier, maybe such atrocities wouldn't have happened. Despite the hunters only seeming to go after solis pack for their light fur, he still wanted to stop the bloodshed, even if he wasn't in danger. And while it did make him feel better to know a few people were okay because of him, he still felt he could somehow be doing more. "An omega like you shouldn't be running around late in that area, okay? Make sure to tell the rest of your pack, too. No need for anyone else to get hurt."
@☆ (α) wonwoo j. Jungwoo was a little taken aback at how the alpha did not gloat about how he saved his life from those hunters weeks ago, always knowing that everyone liked to talk about how great they were once and how they saved someone's life. He nodded his head lightly when he said that it is because there are more wolves by his side now and that is why he saved him, no matter that he isn't from his own pack. Jungwoo was really thankful to the alpha, but now he knew that the male did not want the attention, so he had to find another way to thank him, without having to be so straightforward. He wanted to offer help, but as an omega, he was on the weaker side and he had no fighting abilities whatsoever, so he opted out of that choice, thinking that he would come up with something later on anyways. "They are still in the area? Even after you scared them away that day?"
@☼ (ø) jungwoo k. Hearing the words made him his head to the side. Saving him? It took a moment to process before it came back to him. Ah yes, that group of no-good hunters were in the forest again. "Right...yeah, don't mention it." Perhaps he should have sounded more ecstatic, but it simply wasn't like him. He was always quite introverted, but especially in situations like this. As much as he liked helping others, he didn't like recognition, or glory. Rather, knowing that everyone was living well and enjoying his quiet life was often the way to go. "Those hunters are always around that same part lately, way too close to my home for comfort. Now that it's not just me there, i've gotta do what I can to scare them away."
@☆ (α) wonwoo j. Jungwoo had some free time on his hands today, so he thought visiting the library after work would be heavenly and would cheer him up from having a slightly bad day at the school, managing the kids and making sure everything was okay. A lot of paperwork and yelling later, he found himself in the library, searching through the aisles for a few books he could either read at home or in between classes, when the kids had a short break themselves and the teachers too. He was about to get a book from a row where the books were of a thriller genre when someone bumped their shoulder into his, making him yelp silently under his breath, looking up to see who it was, a small smile making its way onto his face when he recognized the male's face as the one who saved him from those nasty humans a while ago, shaking his head lightly. "It's okay, don't worry." He said, chuckling softly. "Also, thank you once again for saving me that time, it meant a lot." He said, or more like mumbled under his breath, feeling overwhelmed all of a sudden because he remembered the time and the fear he had coursing through his veins before the male came in and rescued him like a true hero.
@☼ (ø) jungwoo k. Wonwoo was always happiest at the library. He couldn't go too often due to his schedule, but he tried to head there at least once a week to take a much needed break. And since he'd just finished up his last novel yesterday, today would be prefect for some browsing. He wandered around slowly, periodically pulling the books out and reading the cover before putting them back. Maybe he was just in a sour mood today, as nothing quite seemed to peak his interests as he had hoped to. He was just about to head out of the aisle before accidentally shoulder checking another boy, turning around to make sure he was okay. "Ah, apologies," He spoke simply in a low voice.
