„Ugh, ridiculous...“,Irene mumbled lowly to herself, busy with checking her work emails on her phone, shaking her head as she swiftly answered her email; stating that the request was denied for the date the group was asking for. She was comfortably sitting in a corner on a couch, a cup of coffee beside her on the table, not really paying attention to her surroundings since her job was almost needing her attention twenty-four seven.
Slowly sliding in, seulgi looked around. Eyes beaming once she was able to make a spot for herself. The room seemed empty which was what she liked, at least for the mean time. Taking a short gulp, she walked around aimlessly waiting for another soul to dip in.
@yoo shiah i smile shyly at your compliments, not knowing how to take them without being arrogant, that has never been one of my strong point. "while i on the other hand think that what you're doing is amazing. I can never see myself doing law, there is just too many ... words." i struggle to find the right expression to express what i think. my lack of korean skill is one thing but at this point i'm just grateful that my passion lies in the creative field not law. "there must be so much reading you have to do and remember?" i do a little shiver to convey my horror.
"yooa, jungkook-" she takes a mental note of all of the friends she just made and rushes back to her seat, forgetting about her fallen phone as she's distracted by the warm and inviting demeanor of the female. she laughs at their responses, finding a little peace of mind after feeling the impending doom fade away. "you're right, maybe i was being a little over dramatic." she lets out a sigh of relief, then perking up as she notices the male offering his business cards. she takes a glance, before blurting out without thought "hi my names jiho, i'm 22, and i never ing learned how to read--" she cackles at her own reference, hoping at least one other in the room got it. "aw, what cute business c---" she takes notice of another male entering the premises. maybe she's dumb, or maybe she still had that paranoia still floating around her mind, but there was an odd familiarity of the entering male that caused her to panic. "hoLY IT'S HIM"
"great, i'll just uh --" as if on beat, she cautiously swipes one of the business cards from the ceo attired man, drawing out a pen she kept in her bag and clicked for it's ink. she was quick to flash the said ceo guy with an innocuous smile as she scribbled her number across the vacant expanse of the back, sliding it towards seungwoo. only then was she able to get a better look at him, clad in an almost uniformed outfit that was rather similar to jungkook's, in which an eyebrow of her's raised. "don't tell me you also have business cards? haha. but yeah, i'm on my way to class -- i'm a law student." and with that conclusion, she zeroes her focus back onto jungkook; the seemingly suspicious business man, indeed awaiting his answer as her lips parted once more.
"that would be wonderful!" he says, letting his hand fall to his side whilst a timorous smile befell his expression. gesturing to the leather clad briefcase that he had left on his lap, and lets out a small sigh - remembering that he had a vicious client waiting for him once he entered the office "work. i wanted to avoid the morning rush so i've been trying to wake up earlier. work too? or perhaps school?" he inquires - startled again by another male voice at that moment. today had definitely started off quite lively, with the girl across the bench throwing her phone on the floor, and the introduction of a man advertising his business. ever the cautious man, he puts on an inquisitive expression, wondering exactly what his business entailed. the last thing seungwoo wanted was to get arrested before work even started "nice to meet you too jeon, i'm seungwoo. what is your business involved in?"
trying to grasp the sincerity of the situation, he couldn’t help but chuckle to himself at what she considered to be big enough to want to change identities— although, he could not judge her for he had issues of his own; he still found time to crack a smile, wondering if it would be appropriate to joke on her having just met. “so, yooa and jiho? the name’s jeon jungkook, but call me jungkook for personal matters or jeon for business matters. i actually think now would be the best time to let you guys know about my business—“ there was never a dull moment of jungkook trying to advertise his company or himself for that matter, when given the opportunity. however, he paused in his tracks as he heard more male voices chiming in— one off to the side while the other was talking about hot chocolate? “well, this is lovely. the more people the better! i actually have business cards for all of you!”
her hand grasps his in a polite fashion, followed by a head nod that served as a bow towards the man before her. "well, maybe sometime we can arrange a get together -- i'll get you that hot chocolate," she voices out in a manner that is absent of any joking inklings, a dainty smile accentuating her offer as she recoils her hand back appropriately. "and i'll get coffee with milk, it'll be good. so, can i ask why you're on the train in the early morning, seungwoo?"
"hot chocolate is nice, haven't had it in a while." he tried to think about the last time he had the drink, and had vivid memories of being snowed in, so it must have been months ago. he chuckles, holding his hand out to shake yooa's hand, wondering if he came out too formal, "pleased to meet you yooa. and to answer your question - it depends on my mood. i do prefer coffee with milk on most days though."
Minho wasn't quite late or planning on going anywhere. it was just one of those days where his feet where going to take him anywhere. Not that he minded, he closed the library for the rest of the day and just wandered around aimlessly with his nose buried into his book. But today, today his feet took him down to a train station, so he assumed he would just take the train back to his apartment to read and feed his snake. Minho held the book tightly as he continued reading down the stairs, bumping into a couple of people and muttering a soft sorry as his gaze never left the pages. When he finally looked up he turned to his right to find some people chatting and... bickering? or something so he didn't bother and walked to the opposite side to sit down and read some more like the bookworm he is.
yooa couldn't help but flicker her gaze between the male and the female, whose name she learned was jiho -- firstly, because the man had appeared abruptly and secondly, jiho's rather random introduction that had her elicit a small chuckle. her hand swiftly met the woman's in a gentle, yet firm shake before reaching out to his, not wanting him to feel left out in what she would classify as girl talk. "sorry for startling you, i'm yooa! and that's quite a -- predicament. unlike it and pretend it didn't happen, if he brings it up then feign innocence. don't worry, it isn't the end of the world yet, hon."
"oH MY GOD-" she leaps out of her seat upon hearing a voice over her shoulder, whipping her head around to glance at the two figures sitting beside her. for working a high intensity job, it was strange for her to always be getting lost in her own thoughts and getting the freights so easily. "jESUS CHRIST you scared me, i'm so sorry! i zone out a lot and i think out loud like i'm the only person in the room but you can laugh if you want because to be honest that was pretty funny-" she's speaking quickly, letting her thoughts nearly spill out as if she were pouring water onto the ground. once she gets herself together, her smile is as wide as ever and she reaches out to offer a handshake to the two people, "sorry i tend to ramble a lot, anyways hi! i'm jiho and i just liked a 4 year old picture from my ex boyfriend's instagram so if you know any good places in canada where i can go find refuge, i'd really appreciate it!"
the sound of the phone dropping on the floor had caught his attention momentarily, causing his gaze to shift from the labeled folders in his grasp— while his right palm attempted to reach over out of common courtesy to make the kind gesture and pick it up. but as always, he was rather late. “canada or hawaii would be your best options, if anything.” eyeing the two females that now sat idle beside one another, he took a minute to collect his thoughts and drift his gaze back down at the watch that wrapped loosely around his wrist— almost taunting him to go overwhelm himself in his work adventures. maybe he’ll take his time today. clearing his throat and adjusting the cuffs to his suit along with his tie, the hand that was aiming to pick up the dropped phone earlier had found its comfort within his pocket. “if you don’t mind my curiosity, what are you on the run from?”
the clatter from a nearby passenger inevitably couldn't go unredressed as yooa was quick to sneak a glance at the woman -- though she couldn't yet sympathize with the dread the latter had felt, she was used to lending an earful. warily, she took a vacant seat besides the girl, offering the nicest of smiles that was indicative of ingenious intent. "i heard canada is good right about this time, haha. but, hey, what's up? if you don't mind me asking."
"...-" she mutters quickly to herself, accidentally liking a very old picture from an ex boyfriend of hers as she found herself pettily scrolling through his social media profile. she decides that maybe she has had enough of the internet today and lets her phone and her soul drop onto the floor, leaning back into her seat as if she was melting in it. "maybe i can change my identity. or just smash my head into the wall." she speaks as if no one else were present in the room, "or just work a 24 hour shift, then at least i'll have money..."
she straightens her posture, hands met in a loose knot behind her back as she nods in compliance. "yeah, neither. if anything, i'm more of a hot chocolate type of person, haha," a small chuckle leisurely escapes from her lips. "like just black coffee?" she inquiries whilst she, too, mirrors the latter's gasp, immediately drawing out her hand for him to shake. "no, you're fine! nice to meet you, seungwoo, i'm yooa!"
"are you more of a tea person? or do you prefer neither?" he's quick to relax, having only been startled for a fleeting moment. "but yes i do like mine more bitter. it keeps me awake atleast." he says, lips parted to draw in a short gasp. "oh where are my manners, i'm seungwoo by the way."
her visage softens into a mannered smile, not wanting to thwart the lad off, only to then briefly offer a distasteful expression. "yeah, coffee isn't a friend of mine. i'm guessing you like yours a bit more bitter?"
"oh uh, yeah i'm fine." not expecting anyone to notice, the male is caught by surprise. he shrugs, looking over at the woman, "the coffee was too sweet to my liking."
interest piqued, her gaze falters from meeting the screen of her phone to the man not too far from her stance, choosing to part her lips. "tell me about it. you alright though?"
@park chaeyoung "oh my gosh, that sounds amazing. i could never do stuff like that, i'm too old school," i say with a sheepish, abashed laugh. my hand raises to card through the top of my hair once more, a widening smile evident on my countenance. "i envy your passion and commitment, it's absolutely wonderful, rose!"
