@ten leechaiyakul Johnny smiled to himself when Ten placed his hand on his, turning his so he could gently tangle their fingers together. He squeezed back before letting his thumb smooth over his soft skin, laughing shyly at Ten's blush. "I'd never forget about my first love, Tennie. I don't know if I can ever love anybody else, you know. I don't need anything else, by the way, my appetite is slowly returning to what it used to be but we're not there yet."

@johnny suh The little gesture had Ten immediately reaching across the table to place his hand upon Johnny’s to give it a little squeeze. It felt like when they were kids again, and the thought had Ten squeezing the other’s hand even tighter. God, how he missed Johnny. “Lots of protein, you got it. Anything else you want for tonight because I can whip that up too....” He was babbling before he trailed off a bit, eyes wide and cheeks pinker than before, “Do....d- you? Wait you? Really?”

@ten leechaiyakul Johnny reached out across the table to just set his hand down, wondering if Ten would take it. He used to do it all the time when they were dating, rest a hand in the middle of the table and Ten would just habitually take it, and Johnny hadn't had physical contact that innocent since before he left. "I don't really have a favourite right now. But something with lots of protein for sure. Tennie...who said it was 'loved', as in past tense?"

@johnny suh “Even if I make you kale? No, I want to make your favorite food, so just lay it on me.” Ten waved his hands a bit, reaching for his latte again to finish it off with a happy grin. His hands itches to reach across the table to hold Johnny’s but he was afraid the gesture wouldn’t be welcome. It had been seven years, after all. They’d been broken up for that long, yet the thought still made Ten’s heart hurt. “We’ll find out if you only had eyes for me because you loved me? I’m pretty sure that’s a fact.”

@ten leechaiyakul "Make me whatever you like. Trust me, it'll be the best meal I've had in a /long/ time." Johnny wasn't lying about that as he took a large gulp of his hot chocolate, only hoping that Ten wouldn't look at him with a different sort of gleam in his dark eyes ince he spilled every detail of what had happened to him. He fiddled with his ring again as he set the mug back down on the table, laughing softly at Ten's description of children. "You're right, they're cute, and then you get to give them back. That's the best thing about them." Johnny blushed at Ten's words, shrugging a shoulder and blinking demurely at him. "Hmm, let's see how tonight goes, and maybe we'll find out."

@johnny suh "What do you want for dinner? I'll probably have to pick stuff up at the store before I go home, because my diet is not what most people eat." Ten cringed inwardly a bit, because well, he was far from that high school kid who ate a lot of junk food yet didn't gain weight because he burned calories like crazy. He really started watching what he was putting in his body and making sure he was getting the proper nutrients. Did that stop him from sneaking vegan chocolate chip cookies every once in a while? Of course not, but he liked to stay pretty on top of his food intake. He could have a cheat day for Johnny, though. "Deceiving little demons. Almost makes you want to have some, but I know they're only cute because I see them a few hours a day," he laughed brightly, cheeks coloring a pretty pink as he shook his head, "You're flattering me too much. Sure it wasn't just because you were so irresistibly in love with me in high school?"

@ten leechaiyakul "Sounds like a plan." Johnny grinned in response and nodded once, nervous to tell Ten everything that had happened but knowing that Ten would be the last person to judge him—especially if he has kept the couple ring they had gotten in high school. "Kids generally are cute. You're probably still the best out of the whole bunch. You've always had this...this /way/ about you that makes you so irresistible to watch."

@johnny suh “Dinner at my place then?” Ten asked a bit cheekily, feeling more confident now that the ring had reassured him that there might still be /something/ between them. He was very much willing to figure out what that was. His smile faltered a little bit as he thought back to the knee injury that had left him pretty hopeless his junior year of college, but he had done all the necessary physical therapy and daily stretches needed to keep him able to dance so he figured he had nothing to really complain about. “It’s alright. It was my own fault anyway. Workaholic, that never changed from high school,” he joked, lighting up again at the mention of his students, “Oh Johnny you’d love them, I swear! I teach all ages, but I think I love teaching the kiddos the most. They’re just so cute.”

@ten leechaiyakul "better left for a non public setting." johnny gently explains once he sees the familiar gleam of curiosity in ten's dark gaze, and he smiled softly when his honey eyes locked on the chain with the matching ring that he had bought in high school with all of his savings so they could at least remember each other when he went off to college. "injury...i'm so sorry to hear that. i'm glad you're still dancing, though, i'm sure your students are fantastic like you."

@johnny suh “Experiences?” Ten couldn’t help but ask, expression full of curiosity. He really wanted to catch up with Johnny since it had been seven years since they last saw each other, and he hadn’t had any contact with the other. His gaze did wander to the movement on his hand, though, cheeks flushing a soft pink as he recognized the silver ring, and he tugged his necklace out to show the matching ring. “I did at first in college, but I pushed myself too far and ended up injuring my knee. I’m still a choreographer, though, so it’s not too bad.”

@ten leechaiyakul "i think there's only one tattoo that i paid for when i got out there, the rest from...my experiences." johnny admitted with a soft hum, playing with the lone silver ring on his fingers before patting at his chest with a hum. as his eyes took in the complete sight of ten in front of him, still unconvinced that this was present reality and not just another fever dream that would turn into another nightmare, he hoped that ten wouldn't notice the way the light had left his eyes in the recent years. "what about you, did you chase that dancing dream you had? i remember how you danced...you were the best one onstage."

@johnny suh “Seven years...man it has been a long time.” He murmured quietly almost in awe for how much time has passed. It honestly felt like yesterday they were graduating high school. He was doing his best to keep his gaze from wandering to the exposed chest of the other across from him, but it was hard not to appreciate the definition there. “You look good, though. I’m really digging the ink. I actually have a few tattoos myself! Fear of needles no more. I blame my pride in college for that. Too many bets lost.” He babbled, waving his hands a bit in the direction of his ear piercings. As he reached for his drink to take a sip, he fiddled with the silver chain around his neck and hummed in agreement. “Yeah, it’s been pretty lonely.”

@ten leechaiyakul "going on seven years now, i would say." johnny chuckled as the other sat down, silently noting the many piercings adorning his ears—different from how he was scared of needles in high school. he shrugged a shoulder and sat back in his chair, ignoring the way his jumpsuit was zipped enough that the expanse of his chest was almost entirely out in the open of the cafe. "nah, i grew up. both in height and in shoulder width, honestly. became a bit obsessed with working out, rather than running away from it, but that was more out of necessity or else i would have been bored out of my mind. i'm glad i came back though, it...it was lonely." the 'without you' was unspoken but implied, and johnny cleared his throat as he sat up to take a sip of his drink.

@johnny suh Upon seeing the wave of confirmation, Ten’s expression lit up so bright he could probably rival the sun as he grabbed his drink and headed over to the seat opposite Johnny. His gaze took in as many tattoos as he could see, fingers itching to touch and examine like he would have when they were teenagers. “Hi, you’re not too bad yourself, Suh. Gosh it’s been how many years? I’m a bit annoyed I can’t say you have the same dorky baby face.” He mused as he leaned onto his elbows on the table, waiting for his own latte to cool a bit before he could start drinking it.

@ten leechaiyakul johnny's eyes never left ten's physique until the other said his name, and he brought a tattooed hand up to wave at the other with a growing smile. he hoped that his greasy, tattooed appearance didn't scare the other off as he motioned to the seat across from him, bringing his mug of hot chocolate with a shot of espresso and caramel syrup up to his lips to take another sip. "ten, wow. you look...you look great." johnny sat up straighter as he fixed the collar of his mechanics' jumpsuit, hoping that the low zip of the jumpsuit didn't bother ten at all.

@johnny suh Ten wasn’t in a rush for once so he took his time walking to the coffee shop he’d been going to since high school. The memory casting a soft smile on his lips. It was a fond memory, but it also reminded him of what he had lost after high school, and that wasn’t a train of thought he wanted to go down today. At least not in public. He could wallow in his bed with some ice cream and Netflix. For now, he stretched his arms above him as he entered the shop, waving enthusiastically at the cashier and requesting his usual: honey oat milk lattes always warmed up his spirits. After his order was placed and paid for, he turned to look for a place to sit, nearly tripping over himself upon seeing a familiar, yet different, face. “Johnny?”

@ten leechaiyakul johnny sat down with a soft groan at one of the tables, hands cupped around a steaming mug of coffee. it had been a long day at the shop, many cars coming in and two people yelling at johnny with some judgmental comments about his tattoos and casual demeanor that he had heard before, and he was ready to sit back with a relaxing cup of caffeine and not have to go home until the cafe was closing. the bell to the front door rang, and johnny habitually opened his eyes to look at who had entered while taking a sip, and he almost spit out the coffee. was that ten?
