Isn’t it fun to be with them?” At the question, Ten turned to look at his own table briefly, then explained, “I’m the only Deimos child in the camp, and since sitting with kids from other cabins is frowned upon, I tend to be on my own.” Shaking his head, he switched the topic. “So, you’re Eros’ kid. What can you do? Can you make people fall in love with each other at first sight? Are you good at archery? What is it like being the God of Love’s son?”

@l. chittaphon Lucas looked up from his food he had been pushing around idly. It wasn't that he didnt wanna eat it, its just that he was in his thoughts so he forgot to eat it. He only noticed this when he was approached by that deimos kid. "Yes Im Yukhei," His fork stopped moving around the plate and he smiled, a new distraction overtaking his mind. "I'm sitting by myself... because its easier this way. my brothers are idiots. I like the break from them. I can enjoy my food in peace." He glanced down and his food and started eating like he just remembered the food was there. "Why you do usually sit alone?"

@w. yukhei loud slurping noises resonated as ten drank his apple juice leisurely, sitting at the basically empty table meant for deimos' children — or /child/, in this case. with his chin propped on his palm and his plate clean of his second serving, ten scanned the dining pavilion before setting eyes upon a lone child of eros at his respective table. he was pretty sure there were other kids from the same parent, but they were perhaps occupied with other affairs if the male was eating by himself.

that's okay, he could keep company.

not even bothering the glares sent his way as he settled across the stranger, ten grinned at the eros boy. "hey!" he ransacked his brain for a name, trying to recall where he had seen the other and what his name was. "yukhei? is it?" he grinned and set his glass of apple juice down, barely any beverage left inside. "nice to meet you! i'm ten. why are you sitting alone?"

It's deemed unhealthy and was vanquished from my diet on my mom's orders. I can't like nor dislike things i've never had." he laid on his side, head propped up by a closed fist, "sparkling water is still a fizzy drink. just sans poison and sugar." His brows knit together, "Don't you have something that you do when you just want to clear your mind ten ?"

holding the soda can close to his chest, he stutters, "w-what's with that face? don't look at me like that!" playfully pushes yukhei's face to turn the other way.
"ew, sparkling water." pokes tongue out in disgust, shuddering. "i want sweet, gassy drinks! it feels more refreshing!" looks at yukhei with squinted eyes. "you don't like soda?"
raises a brow in confusion, he looks between the baseball bat and yukhei briefly. "why were you hitting pinecones?"

he shrunk away rubbing that spot ten hit, still laughing of course before furrowing his brows. He peered over at the soda and then dully glanced back up to ten's face. "Soda is bad for you. Especially cola. You should try sparkling water." Readjusting on the bean bag he tried to make it more comfortable for him and ten to share. "I was ... hitting pinecones through the border"

squints and hits yukhei's upper back playfully, trying to hit as hard as possible
scoots more to the side so yukhei can be completely off of him, almost falling from the bean bag in the process before quickly clinging onto the other
"not unless i have dead weight plopped onto me." shakes head in disbelief. "you almost spilled my soda too!"
takes a sip from the soda and settles comfortably on the bean bag again, no more clinging to yukhei for support. "just chillin. how about you? where did you get that baseball bat from?"

ten has difficulty sleeping at night. you know, since you share a dorm with him. every night, he would be sitting on his bed, staring out the window. he's always curled up into a ball, hugging his knees close to his chest, as if taking up a fetal position can protect him from harm. he jumps at every movement in the shadows, ironically you think.

as a boogeyman, why is ten so scared of the dark?

even so, you can't help feeling sad whenever you see the panic on ten's face. he flinches at the softest of sounds and looks at the shadows for any signs of life. as if he is making sure that something is not there.

he looks like someone trying to run away from his fears.

finally, one night, you can't bear watching him being so on edge anymore. you get out of bed and approach him, much to his surprise. you sit beside him and offer to stay with him until he can finally go to sleep.

- being a grim reaper means ten witnesses death on multiple occasions and in many different manners. the first time he collected a soul, he cried himself to sleep -- it had been a stillborn. he had grew, growing numb to people passing the longer time went by. however, every time he reaps a soul, he'll feel a heavy weight on his chest, a sadness he can't rid of. soon, the pain proved too much and he opted for a part-time job, wishing that working could get his mind off from his full-time career. he's happier now, but he can never shoo the looming anxiety on his shoulders when it's time to guide lost souls to the next life.
- ten is a pretty chill person, open-minded and usually going along with the flow. he is rather active and full of sass, unafraid to speak his mind. he tries to be helpful where he can, a good listener and giving some of the best advices or most comforting words. he tends to hide his feelings a lot, extracting himself from scenarios causing him distress so he could calm down. he doesn't like breaking down in front of people, holding in his emotions until he's alone and then only starts bawling. he shows endless affection to the people around him and bathes in the love others give, but that doesn't stop him from getting surprised when someone tells him he's an important member in their life -- he'll be flustered and flattered.

Chittaphon Leechaiyakul (Ten) || 23 Years Old || Homoual || Human || Staff (Reception)

=> His mother had not been a mentally stable person. The stress of being a widow and making ends meet made her depressed, and that depression turned to wrath which was inflicted upon Ten. They were physical, but not one would expect. They came in the form of harmless-looking food, so harmless in fact that you wouldn’t know rat poison had been slipped into them. Maybe it’s detergent in hot chocolate, or maybe it’s other non-edible and life-threatening substances in food or drinks. During days when his mother is particularly snappy, she would straight up make him eat garbage, and on happier days, she would make him eat long expired food. His teachers had been the one to notice his sickly appearance, and after a checkup at the hospital, they called the police with suspicion of abuse. His mother was arrested, and he was sent to an orphanage where he was soon adopted to a loving family.

=> Ten developed cibophobia from his experience which soon turned him into an anorexic. He would never dare to eat food unless he made it himself. At first, the food he cooked would either be charred or undercooked, but as he continued to teach himself, he could now prepare meals for himself. He would never touch any food made by others, unless being scrutinised or out of courtesy. He would only take a bite or two before spitting them out, fearing them to be poisoned. He gets terrible anxiety when asked to consume dishes that are prepared by other people, thinking that they’re not sanitary or the ingredients they used are expired or some unnamed toxin had been imbued into the food before serving. He couldn’t even eat his adopted mother’s cooking without puking behind her back, where no family members could see him.
