Just joining the roleplay doesn’t automatically enroll the character in the matchmaking process. In order to join in the matchmaking, follow the link provided in the matchmaking room and answer the questions as honestly as possible for your character. Do not answer questions based on what you think someone else, even the admins, wants to hear as these are the questions which will be used to match people together. If you lie or do not take it seriously you can actually hurt not only the partner you end up with but also the roleplay as a whole as it undermines the faith in the matchmaking process. We want everyone to find their matches and be happy with them. Bad matches and pairings can lead to loss of muse and kill a matchmaking roleplay quickly so in order to avoid any unplotted negative feelings, please be as truthful as you can be when answering the questionnaire.
We would also prefer it if characters could avoid making deep connections before they are matched to cut down on unwanted drama and keep things healthier. It should also go without saying that you might not be matched up with someone you want or that someone you want might be matched with someone else. Please keep options open and when you are matched, give your partner every opportunity to be the one because at the end of the day finding someone to roleplay with is why we are here. It is okay to have plotted drama and we encourage that, just make sure all of the participants are comfortable with the premise. Joining with someone else in the hopes of being matched up isn’t entirely fair to everyone else in the roleplay. There are plenty of roleplays that allow for moving couples and such but this is primarily a matchmaking roleplay so please respect that as well as the other players who wish to participate honestly.
Please maintain a positive outlook both ic and ooc while partaking in the matchmaking process. If you are not paired it does not mean that the admins dislike you or your character. We only want for people to be matched appropriately based on character compatibility as determined by the questionnaire. There is nothing personal, it is simply the process, and we want everyone to find a great match but sometimes that takes a bit of time. Spreading discord and unhappiness makes this process harder and less likely to succeed.
If you have an inactive match, simply let the admins know and you will be matched again in the next batch if an appropriate match is available. Should you not get any kind of reply within 48 hours, that is considered an inactive match. If you were the inactive party, you will not be matched again immediately as part of your penalty for being inactive. An admin will contact you and determine if you need a hiatus or semi-hiatus. Those on hiatus or semi-hiatus are not available to be matched so please make sure to let the admins know if you need a hiatus or semi-hiatus prior to matchmaking. Should a player be inactive in a pairing twice, they will be removed from the roleplay. They can rejoin but they will be placed at the bottom of the waiting list as if they were a completely new player.
Steps and Process
The first thing is to join the roleplay. Check the wishlist or pick a favorite muse and comment down below. All living personalities above the legal age for adulthood are welcome with the option for children being admitted at a later date depending on how things go. No dead celebrities or idols are welcome here.

Once the faceclaim is added, the application process is finished, and you are welcomed into the rp, you will be directed to the Questionnaire room which has a link to a Questionnaire for you to fill out in character. Please be honest when filling it out and only fill it out once. When that is done, tag an admin in the Questionnaire room to let them know that you have done so and you can continue on with your normal roleplaying experience. In addition to this, the character must have completed their 50 Activity Point requirement that begins upon joining, in order to be eligible to be paired.
Every Thursday evening EST, several matches will be made from available bachelors and bachelorettes based on how they answered the questionnaire and announced in their own batch room. Along with announcing the matched couples, inside the batch room, each couple will be assigned their first date location to help you guys out by the admins. It will be a combination of first come first serve provided there is a decent chance for compatibility as noted by the answers. If you are not chosen, it just means your match isn't here yet and not at all that you have been forgotten. Please keep the faith and believe that your Mister or Miss right is still out there.
Matches will last for two weeks. If you have been matched, reach out to your pairing in the batch room and wait for a response. Should your pairing not respond within 48 hours, you will be put into next week’s batch if there is an available match. At any point, if there is a gap in communication of more than 48 hours, inform an admin.
At the end of two weeks, each partner will be asked if they would like to keep the pairing. If both choose to remain coupled, they will become official. Should one or both partners wish for the pairing to end, they will be put back into the matchmaking process.
