*hears the noise of a voice before my ear twitch and i tilt my head to look down at you* what are you doing here? how did you get in here? it's not safe in this part of the jungle you know. *lays back down on the branch*
@☵ Hwang Hyunjin Though Jimin's head was facing downwards, his eyes slowly lifted up when Hyunjin spoke, peeking at the slightly taller male from beneath his lashes. Unable to help the smile that tugged at the corner of his lips, and the heat which was creeping up on his cheeks. "I- oh, thank you." He mumbled, this was probably the first time he had been told that, actually. Yes, he had been called sweet in the past, but cute? There were no recollections of that word.
"I- I can, I'm fine. Really-" the smaller tried to insist before he knew that he was being lifted off of the ground, a small squeak escaping from his mouth. "Hey, you're hurt. Don't do that, put me down, you'll injure yourself further." Thankfully, the trees of the forest could clearly be seen through the light shining at the end of the path. It was not far. Even though Jimin disagreed, his arms linked around the larger's neck for he did not want to fall on the ground. His touches were ginger and light, afraid of hurting the merman any further. "You're not okay, you need your strength to walk. Please, I don't want to burden you." Being much much more closer to Hyunjin than before, the pink which dusted across his milkish-colored skin was still present. A twinge of guilt still weighing on his heart that /he/ was being carried when /Hyunjin/ was the one who needed help.
@❧ Park Jimin H For a moment Hyunjin just blinked surprised. Had Jimin just called him beautiful? Was it his face or was it the merman parts he was showing when touching water? Like the shimmering scales or the soft glassy gaze he had from time to time, light turning his dark eyes a little rainbow. "Thank you," he said gently and looked at the other, a soft smile on his lips. "That's so sweet of you." He did not want to die himself so there was that. "You know you are very cute yourself, right?" He looked at the other and smiled, tired and exhausted and still in pain but it was an honest smile.
Feeling Jimin's touch on his body made his body shiver slightly. He barely got touched and especially not his skin and it made him surprisingly shy, however he easily leaned into the touch. his lips he kept walking, trying to just enjoy the small touch and do his best to walk straight. However when Jimin stumbled he immediately reached for the other. He cared supported him, looking gently at him. "Can you keep walking?" he asked and frowned before he heard the other stutter, clearly exhausted. Letting his supporting tree branch fall before lifting Jimin bridal style. He would not be able to carry him far but maybe at least a bit. "Hold onto me," he said as he kept walking, the injuries Jimin touched hurt but he could manage until they finally were surrounded by the trees of the forest.
@☵ Hwang Hyunjin Grinning, a bit of pride swelled in his chest and he nodded firmly with a grin plastered on his face. "Yes I did..." his words trailed off as his eyes fell on Hyunjin's skin, watching as the iridescent color became a bit more prominent on his palish colored body and his lips pursed; intrigued by it. "You're welcome. I really wouldn't want you to dry out on our way to the forest..you're way too pretty for that." Jimin swallowed, his orbs instantly shifting to stare at the ground with widened eyes, wondering if that really just came out of his mouth.
The fairy elf cleared his throat a little, bringing his hand up to place it in the small of Hyunjin's back to steady the merman, making sure that the other was able to walk evenly as they went on. It had been a few minutes and the shorter had been quite silent, just the peaceful sounds of the forest and nature surrounding them. Though the silence hadn't lasted long as his footsteps missed a beat and he wobbled slightly. "Sorry, sorry," Jimin spoke, but whilst he was trying to get his vision straight, it had all gone a little blurry. "The forest," he looked ahead with squinted eyes. He knew that it was just through that pass a couple meters in front of them, they just had to get through there and get to the water. "It's up, s-straight. We're really almost there."
@❧ Park Jimin H Hyunjin looked surprised at the other, wide eyes and confusion on his pale face. He had not expected Jimin to suddenly rush out and away from their spot and stop by the beach. Hyunjin could for a moment barely see Jimin before he eventually returned back to him, showing him the canteen now filled with salt water. He chuckled a bit and shook his head slightly. "Did you... did you just run back to get me water?" he asked surprised and tilted his head. That was so sweet and Hyunjin had not see this coming. It felt sweet and warm in his chest, making him smile warmly. "Thank you so much."
Carefully Hyunjin dripped some water on his hands, wiping it over his skin. "I hope it helps. Thank you so much." Where the water touched his skin it shimmered gentle, his scales showing slightly. He looked towards the path and nodded then. "At least it's a bit shaded, yes," he said gently and looked at Jimin, walking slowly and carefully. He didn't want to end up falling or just fainting so he made sure not to accidentally fall. After all it should not be for nothing that Jimin had saved him from death.
@☵ Hwang Hyunjin The short guardian, puffed out his chest slightly; though he really was not that confident at all, and just as he was about to take the first step towards the trail he hesitated. "Wait!" Jimin turned his head to look at Hyunjin with a concerned expression, his chest almost instantly deflating. "You'll dry out….I have-" he strained, opening his satchel which was on his hip and digging around, he would've been smart to have also brought tonics along with him, but no, he had to travel 'light.' "Water," he finished, pulling out a small canteen and holding it up to view. "Hold on one second," and with that the shorter male darted back to the beach, sinking to his knees and scooping some of the salty ocean water into his canteen, filling it and closing it before running back to the merman.
"Okay," he panted out lightly, bringing a hand up to push back some of his bangs which had fallen from their place. "Got…water. That way," he held up a finger as to ask Hyunjin to hold on, taking in a few more gasps of air into his lungs before continuing. "That way when you start to feel dry, we can pour some water on your skin. We're lucky that the path is slightly shaded." Even still, with all of his cuts and bruises, the merman was pretty, and Jimin would find himself staring, sometimes for a bit too long as they walked. Now ending up somewhere halfway through the path with the shaded trees and bushes, some parts looking more 'shadowy' than others.
