the north is the principle region of the kingdom of the north. here you can find castle black at the wall and house stark. it is notably the largest but the poorest region of westeros. it is bordered by sunset sea and the shivering sea. while winterfell is their most notable castle, the north is home to many others, as well as many cities, islands, costal areas and a number of rivers and lakes.
