You’re Better Than This —
( M or F preferred, romance is possible )
Genre - Angst, possible romance
Gayoung and YC have known eachother since their university days, though not being attached at the hip, they were friends. They were in different majors but they always had similar classes, and they hung out for a few months in their last year together. YC knew about Gayoung’s messy family history, with her parents’ death and her relatives’ terrible behaviour towards her. YC and Gayoung part ways and they meet again as adults, both working, and YC sees Gayoung breakdown in an alleyway. Recognizing her, YC tries to help them back up, both physically and emotionally, not wanting to see their friend suffer like that. Gayoung reveals that her PTSD has been getting worse, not better these past few weeks and she’s been struggling at work too.
We’re Going To Have A Problem —
( M or F preferred )
Genre - Comedy
YC is the direct cause of a traffic accident that practically breaks Gayoung’s delivery motorcycle on the road (with minimal bodily injuries), forcing all of her deliveries for that night to be delayed and Gayoung holds a grudge against them for that. She had suffered because of YC’s mistake and her boss at the snack bar took the repair dues right out of one week’s salary. That was a blow in terms of the money she usually spends for rent and other needs, so this made her anxious and angry. YC’s character suddenly visits the snack bar, not knowing that it was the site of one of Gayoung’s many jobs. Gayoung treats YC badly, threatening to sue (unfounded) and causing a scene at the snack bar. YC tries to beg and apologize their way out of it, even offering to do favours for Gayoung. Gayoung takes this as a chance to have some sort of worker for her, so she and YC spend more time together, as someone looking for reparation and the other being extremely guilty.
╰┈➤ Rivals theme: Maybe they grew up together as neighbors and even their families were not getting along so they went along with it and forgot about why they were ever fighting in the first place. After all, a lot of time has passed now and they are put together in a scene together where they're both in Seoul city, living a new life. Perhaps they're stuck working together or maybe just happen to be in the same friend circle or something like that.
One day MC ends up owing YC a favor and is now indebted to him and YC plans to hold it over her head for a long time and take the utmost advantage of it. Eventually, though, it happens to go too far and MC’s feelings get hurt YC is surprised by it and realizes he feels differently towards her.
MC promptly has moved on after being hurt even though they also happened to have strange feelings towards YC and now YC is miserable. Even worse, he finds out that MC’s new person of interest (yes, Yeji tries to date around when she's not running from emotional ties, failing at it too) is not a good person but MC won’t listen to anything YC has to say. What will he do to repay her or will he try and win her heart?
MC and YC are renting together, Yeji had to live closer to her job and area of study so she figured she'd rent elsewhere for the time being. Getting a flatmate would be nice and split the bill in half, making it easier to achieve her goal. Finally getting one, she couldn't be happier, even if it's m/f (it doesn't matter). They had a really great relationship. They both flirted around 24/7 but didn’t know that the other had a spark of feelings too. One day MC was sitting on their couch watching TV, pretty much dozing off, when YC walked in. “Hey” greeted MC “How was your date ?” she asked while lowering the TV volume. “I mean, considering you’re home after just 2 hrs of leaving….I’m assuming not good ?” Yeji was there, in the end, to pick up the pieces of another failed date YC went on.
