And he made it a point everywhere he went - scrolls of duties squished underneath his left armpit, keys to very important buildings dangling around his belt and a small tidy neat of book stack in his right hand – that he was in fact hard-pressed with his job.

He had plenty of things to do that day like solving last month’s accounting issue and sending out letters to the grand elves or maybe finally having the time to take care of the lightbulbs in the secondary office. But there he was, strolling along the pavement in River’s Rest with an adventurer trailing behind him.

And he didn’t trust her one bit.

See, she didn’t exactly have a trusty-looking face. When she had walked through the doors of the embassy, shoes dirtied from outside land, dressed in alienated fashion while asking to be granted temporary housing and passage through Luschia, Teddy’s suspicions aroused and his senses slightly alarmed. But she had gone through the legal procedure right and he couldn’t see any reason to reject the request.

“Your lodging throughout your stay will be at the end of the River’s Rest. You’re welcome to use the hot spring and if you’re looking into taking part in the hunting activities, please do inform the embassy before you do anything. We will grant you a temporary permit for your hunting activities and you’ll be accompanied by someone during the hunt. Do you have any other questions, Miss Seele?”
