seaside sanctuary
lyren
description:
Constructed with a beautiful, marble-like material on the coast of Lyren, the Seaside Sanctuary stands tall with a pillared entrance and large open door. Past the sloping pews and beneath the glass roof, right at the very back of the building, you’ll find a small statue of its goddess. Even in stone her countenance is daunting, the gaze of a deity with pale blue eyes, and a beautiful gown. Through the sleeves of the statue’s outfit the goddess's hands are extended to whoever stands before her, over a blessed, neverending flame. Light shines on the slopes of her cheeks, and the ringlets of her hair from the glass dome above, shadowed only by the vines of various sea flowers. If you need to speak directly to the goddess, you’ll need the help of a priest or priestess — many believe your prayer is more likely to be heard by the goddess. There is also a space for her devoted followers to stay within the temple, a floor complete with several private rooms that leave members of the church wanting for nothing. The Seaside Sanctuary is spacious, quiet and awe-inspiring.
