tale of two brothers

@jaehyun j。 Taemin was checking in an inn when they felt the tremble. The screams came after, distant but audible. Everyone in the lobby was confused until someone burst through the door.

“Attack! We’re under attack!”

Instant mayhem. Everyone rushed out of the building.

Taemin knew who the culprit was. He grabbed the nearest (frantic) human and asked, “Where’s the PLANT?”

Jaehyun had only one goal for visiting human settlements (okay, two, but no one needed to know the other reason). As Taemin rushed to the PLANT, they saw a silhouette in the distance.

The roof of the factory was smoking when he arrived. He burst through the entrance, inhaling ashes and debris. He coughed violently.

A quick glance and they found their target. They grabbed their gun, aiming at a spot just a bit off from the man and shooting (a warning or an announcement, no one knew).

“Jay! Leave the PLANT alone!”

@taemin l。 Jaehyun stood on the large boulder sittong atop the desert hill, looking down onto the small town. The town appeared to be faring well despite being located so far away from the rest of cities on gunsmoke.

Not for long though. The time had come.

Jaehyun hummed, delight evident in the way he moved himself in a fashion that one might say he was mimicking the ballroom with an invisible partner. His partner would be none but his sole twin brother; half of his soul. Jaehyun missed Taemin a lot.

Damn the stupid game. It was their little game of cat and mouse. Taemin, obviously, was the annoying rat like those humans.

"Doctor, it's time."

It was all Jaehyun said before his figure descended onto the town where the single functioning plant is kept.

It wasn't long before the peace of the town suddenly broke into loud cries for help, rats like creatures (humans) running atound mindlessly.

@jaehyun j。 It had been one week and three days since Taemin last saw their twin. It wouldn’t be long before Jaehyun finds them again.

Taemin now sat in a bar, a glass of dirty water served. He just arrived but didn’t plan to stay long. Perhaps a night or two, then back on the run he had to go.

A thought in the back of their mind tempted them to stay longer but they suppressed it. They yearned to see Jaehyun, to see if he’s doing well. But most of all, they already missed their twin.

Taemin sighed, tracing his finger along the glass rim. Enough silly thoughts. He needed rest after travelling for so long. He’d need to find a place to stay for the night soon.

Surely, he could at least sleep in a comfortable bed for one night.
