@christian y。 It felt like nothing had changed for the two men other than not having seen each other for quite some time but they are still attached to the hip like normal.
San found Christian’s affectionate ways to be rather heart warming and though sometimes he was a little unsure if Christian was simply being nice or liked San, it was soon confirmed by Christian stating he was indeed flirting which caused for a small smile to creep up San’s face but thanked the lord that he was facing away from the older male.
“Oh? Well aren’t you adorable…” He managed to mutter out. He was indeed very happy inside by the response, as he brought the water glass back to his lips to take another sip before the feeling of Christian’s teeth could be felt on his cheek that caused his eyes to widen slightly, and his heart skip a beat while he gripped the water cup tighter before exhaling once Christian pulls away.
“Hm.” Was all San could manage to get out as he was stuck in a moment, his eyes following Christian’s movements before he quietly followed in return, holding his free hand out to accept the plate filled with food and then leading the way to the couch, setting his water and plate down first on the coffee table as his brown orbs watched Christian’s movements.
“You know…if you bothered me a lot more than you probably do now. I would not be upset, Christian. Not hearing from you makes me a little worried so please do check in once in awhile, okay?” San spoke in a soft gentle tone before allowing his intrusive thoughts kick in because he wanted to know and the feeling was overbearing, he also caught on to Christian staring at him more than usual, so he strides over to Christian who is sitting across from him, bringing his hand up to place his pointer finger pad right at the bottom of Christian’s chin to tilt it up slightly so he is now meeting San’s eyes.
“I forgot to say please after that sentence. Also, thank you for the good, sweet cheeks.” San’s words were playful but sincere, sealing the deal by bending down enough for his lips to come in contacts with Christian’s brushing them lightly over the older males tiers as San’s eyes slowly closed once he pressed in for a peck of the lips, lingering there briefly before parting away with a small sigh of content, his eyes opening into a curved eye smile as he faces Christian. “You’re cute.” Was all he said after his bold move and slightly out of nervousness, releasing Christian’s chin in the process as he turned around and strolled back to the couch and taking a seat across the couch from Christian, picking his plate up and began to silently eat.
@san c。 The statement about accepting any nickname was an all out lie, and Christian knew it to be so. He'd tried a few with no luck, nothing sounded right or if he thought for a change he did, San wasn't into it. He hadn't forgotten, and maybe he'd give up trying to associate the name, and simply stick to the basics of endearment. Still, he doesn't voice this fact, and simply allows his company to finish what they had to say before retorting with a full on smug grin. "Yes, I am flirting. Figured my arms around you, or my cooking skills gave it away." Granted, so was his very lazy choice in clothing, or lack there of, but he didn't want to come off with ual intent.
The wriggle of San's nose, followed by the kiss on his own procured a soft hum;"Good, then let's eat." Despite this comment, it was his companion who tried to break from the hold despite his attempts to make it a comfortable experience. Still, he doesn't give up, as the frame turns, Christian runs either hand up the sides, and eventually onto the biceps once the back is fully facing him as a means to soothe. The audible laughter confirms, or so the belief is there that it's okay if he's pushing boundaries a little bit. Maybe they missed him just as much? Resuming the hug, with the side of the face pressed against the right shoulder, he snuggles into the back a little bit with a happy noise.
Content being affectionate, it isn't until words are spoken does his frame straighten to meet the other man in the eye. "..I am too..but as for your question, yeah. Always, I got a lot of change happening in the background so I've been too drained to have any social battery. You needn't feel bad, both of us are busy adults. I don't have to have you blowing up my phone, I've gotten quite used to you letting your phone die anyway since you're not much for phone calls or texting. These days, neither am I. Anyway-" Christian leans forward the few inches gap between his face and San's right cheek to gently grasp it between his teeth before letting go, lips being the last contact against the skin. A butterfly kiss, or at least that was his attempt at one;"Come on, let's eat before the food turns to mush in the crock pot." Finally, he lets go- proceeding to grab plates for the both of them and put either one together. The first plate up was San's, offering it out with a polite portion before gesturing to take a seat wherever they felt comfortable in the small apartment. Wherever his companion went, he'd follow and sit across from or beside them, eating with no attempt at commentary. But what he does do, is eye them.. a lot.
@christian y。 Christian’s casual serious response to San’s mentioning of the tattoos caused a low slightly deeper chuckle leave San’s lips as he knew Christian did not catch onto San’s infatuation with his physique and the tattoos definitely fit into Christian’s aesthetic demeanor.
“Definitely…not a bother. More like jealousy, my man.” He simply stated before hearing the commentary about the nickname, San shaking his head in a dismissive manner before softly speaking. “Nah. Not better, your nicknames are cute. I would gladly accept anything you called me honestly.”
It was true, San would not take many things offensive and simply accepted most names but Christian was a different person in San’s circle so he wasn’t bothered by the older male.
As he felt a little exposed now, with just a white plain crew neck tee shirt, his brown orbs averted to notice a not so common expression on Christian’s face, almost as if he was checking San out? San’s face lighting up into an cheerful grin while it made his eyes crinkle up followed by a joking comment, “Are you perhaps flirting, Christian Yu?” He stated with a soft chuckle, until he found himself stepping forward into a close embrace, his own hands resting upon Christian’s, his gaze matching Christians as well. Taking this brief opportunity to playfully wiggle his nose before bringing his lips to lightly peck Christian’s nose.
“ I shall splurge with you.” He mentioned while slowly pulling away from the embrace, though it did make his heart flutter slightly but did not wish to show he is internally flustered. Taking a moment to turn his body towards the familiar cabinets as his back is turned from Christian, bringing his hands to open the cub-bards, reaching for a glass cup.
San made sure to shut the cub-bards, before waddling towards the fridge as he couldn’t help but laugh at how clingy Christian is being at the moment, taking a moment to press the rim of his glass to the water dispenser attached to the fridge , once half filled he brings the glass to his lips and takes a decent size gulped before setting it on the counter top.
San then turns his head slightly to look back at Christian with his signature smile. “I am looking forward to spending some quality time with you, Christian. Have you been busy though? I would assume so with your line of work and such. I did feel like a bad person for not checking up on you as often as I probably could have…” he trailed off quietly, a sorrowful voice could be recognizable as he spoke.
@san c。 "I'm glad they don't bother you." Commenting in retort to San's mention of his tattoos. It wasn't intentional to show off, he just liked to be relaxed in his own space. While leaning against the counter expectant on his friend's reaction to the food, a smitten expression appears at the nickname 'lemon squeeze'. "You always were a ton better at name-calling. Still haven't found one that quite suits you. Sand man doesn't work, nor sound affectionate, and neither does SAN-wich.." A bittersweet laugh airs under breath while temporarily avoiding eye contact to look at the crock pot. "I'm bad at this, I know... and it should be done here pretty.."
Words trail off at the removal of the nice button up top, lips parted in an attempted other word, but eyes flicker up and down at each flick of the wrist. It's subconscious, the mouth salivates as the right corner tugs upward in a partial smug. "Mmm.. you're so good lookin'." Running up a tongue over the upper lip as it came inward, eager hands reach out again, he couldn't keep hands to himself. Pulling San against the chest and very much into his personal space, a nose brushes against theirs along with a hooded gaze. "Oh yeah, please feel encouraged to splurge." Either tattooed hand teasingly grips the sides, were they ticklish?
"Hmm..? Water- oh sure." Despite Christian's hormones placing the strong incentive to kiss and make out already after the lengthy time apart, he refrains, and nods at the cabinet right next to them;"Sure, help yourself." If San were to turn or shift around, he'd be attached at the side or hugging the back, shamelessly inseparable, even to the point to hug onto the frame while his friend grabbed water. Infatuated was an understatement.
@christian y。 It felt like a wave of relief had smacked San in the face as he felt Christian’s hands upon the side of his waist while the two males stood there simply enjoy each others scent and presence.
The compliment got a light airy chuckle to emit from San’s lips before he responds in a soft tone, “Thank you, Christian. You also look good, your tattoos always amaze me.” As he slowly felt the other separate from the embrace, San did the same thing. His brown orbs kept focused upon Christian’s until he felt the older males hands take his and lead him further into the complex.
Recognizing the familiar surroundings, San did notice how clean it was and knew that Christian must have freshened up the place before he got there which caused an appreciative smile on San’s part as he thought it was cute.
The smell of food cooking, specifically pasta whiffed against San’s nose and he perked up physically from slight eagerness before glancing to a nervous Christian, following his gesture to the crockpot then averting his eyes back to meet Christian’s with an obvious happy smile upon his face.
“Of course I’m hungry! You did all of this for me. Its truly amazing and very sweet, lemon squeeze. I’m excited to eat what you cooked. Plus I haven’t seen you in awhile so who cares if I splurge?” He stated as he clasps his hands together in excitement before blinking a little confused at the next sentence, taking a moment to glance down at his button up.
“Oh… yeah I can.” He emitted a low chuckle before bringing his hands to his top, slipping it off and revealing a plain white tee under shirt that prominently shaped his broad shoulders and revealed his pale yet toned arms, taking a moment to toss the shirt onto the nearby couch before focusing his attention to Christian once again. “Better? Though I would not have cared if it got ruined. I have more just like it. Work outfit, you know?” He made a simple joke while he shifted his body to lean slightly over to look into the crockpot curiously while sniffing the food curiously. “When will it be ready? Also..could I get some water?” San wasn’t going to just divulge into another individuals fridge or cupboards so he politely asked while smiling softly to Christian.
@san c。 At the newfound closeness, Christian had a smell to him, some type of after shave, a light musky scent."San." He responded in kind, not catching the playful teasing, but rather, taking it at full face value. "I'm happy to see you too.." There's a warmth in his chest he'd not felt in a long time. With fingers releasing the collar of the button up shirt, he watches his companion bend down to drop the duffel bag off to the side while stepping off to the side for a moment to close the door behind them. No sooner do the two stand directly in front of one another, are arms reaching out to embrace and bask in each other's presence. Christian is a softie, openly humming with contentment when he holds them by the waist, while San held him around the neck. Without thinking, he's happily swaying a little while they rested into one another;"True..but you /do/ look good." Brown eyes drop downward to take their frame in as he moves to an awkward position.
At first, he lets go, then reaches back for his company to hold either of his hands to be led into the kitchen. The smell of food permeating throughout the house from being in a slow cooker all day, he eagerly brings San over to the food while continuing to speak both softly, and patiently. While not without reason, his tone didn't just seem sweet given the circumstances, but there's a lingering undertone of gratefulness. His friend knew it well, the fear of abandonment; which made their face to face connection all the more special, just for showing up. "I am hoping that you had a good or at least decent day, and.. maybe worked up an appetite?" Eyes gesture to the crock pot;"Chicken Alfreda er.. Alfredo? Yeah. Is this okay? I know you like certain foods for calorie intake, but I figure chicken, broccoli and creamy white sauce on angel hair noodles can't be a bad choice." With hip leaned up against the counter, Christian wrings his hands while awaiting confirmation. He is eager to please.
"Um.. I hope it doesn't sound inappropriate, but could you take that off..? I don't wanna wrinkle it or get my 'sweat for you' on it." Commenting with a bit of a joking manner. After a moment, the posture straightens, and he sways the head to subconsciously move dark strands out of the face. It's at this angle does the lone heart necklace dangle openly away from the chest. There's nothing on it if it were taken or looked at closely, blank on both sides.
@christian y。 It was hard for San to fully mentally cope with the fact thay he is FINALLY seeing face to face.
He felt like he didn’t really know Christian as well or maybe the other didn’t appreciate San as much despite reassuring San that he missed him.
The mixture of nervousness and butterflies stirring in the pit of his stomach only made him more anxious as he stood there quietly, the slow creak from the door slightly catching him off guard as he murmured to himself.
“Does he just leave…his door unlock like a crazy person..?”
San couldn’t help but now worry about Christian’s safety but he stood there calmly and awaited for the latter to hopefully be home and approach him.
A short few minutes passed by and San heard footsteps on the floor heading towards the front door, each step only made the pounding in his eye beat faster.
His eyes rose from the ground up as soon as he heard the door fully open and the husky tone that he is familiar with begin to speak, a subconscious smile formed upon his face as his eyes creased into little butterflies.
“Christian.” San spoke softly and remained calm but not before catching sight of a apologetic male before him, mentally questioning why he looked sad but will ask about it later. As he noticed Christian struggling a little bit, he decided to lighten the mood a bit with some playful teasing, “ Who would have thought we would be here staring into each others eyes again? “
San eyed Christians hand as the latter raised it and followed it to the collar of his shirt before meeting their playful gaze followed by a soft chuckle on San’s part. “Well..you know. I didn’t know exactly what you had planned~. I could always take off the button up, I have a white plain tshirt under.” San stated with a cheeky grin on his face before taking a moment to lean down and place his duffle bag on the floor to bring his arms up and wrap his arms around Christian’s neck as he pulls him into a warm hug, gently tapping the side of his head to Christians.
“Its nice to see you, good lookin. My nerves have been at an all time high without you around.”
@san c。 Christian didn't reply back, but rather anticipate company despite the hour long stretch. He's dressed down, in a pair of active wear shorts, white ankle socks, and a pair of beige loafers which clearly had been worn for awhile and were a beloved pair. Scooting over to the kitchen, he checks on the food, brown eyes looking down at the clear crock pot lid wondering if San would be displeased with the type of meal chosen once it was realized there was one. It wasn't super unhealthy right? Not like it was late in the evening.. with that in mind, he looks down at himself with uncertainty. Should he put more clothes on? They were gonna stay in and lounge around, what he had couldn't be that bad. Not like the two hadn't spent the night at one another's apartments in the past, and one another in all sorts of varying 'awkward' clothing.
He's comfortable with himself, and his friend, so the concern drifts off. While waiting, he's going through the house making sure everything is put away, looks organized, trash taken out, he smells good. This anxious pacing and overthinking goes on for a good while, finding small things to straighten up until tires rolling over loose gravel garner his attention. He's here. Christian feels the heart racing knowing the occasion and the things to come, he's internally bounding around like an excited dog. The mind goes blank, should he open the door? Should he wait on the other side? Would that be weird? The rising discomfort of being poor at romance and what was considered smooth and suave made the stomach twist into an uncomfortable knot. Guess he wasn't as comfortable as he'd convinced himself..
Seeing a familiar figure get out of the car all nicely dressed, a tattooed hand reached to open the door a crack, only to remember, in that exact moment he didn't have the gift bought just for this very day. He runs to the back room, realizing he forgot to wrap it. Christian glares at the gift, annoyed with himself, managing to somehow glaze over it sitting on the bed the entire time when looking for something to do. While scrambling to think, he hears a knock and the door creak open from the weight against it. Abandoning the gift for now, he pads back without it;"Oh- hey." He looks a bit sorry, although the expression is kept as calm and casual as he could consciously manage. In the background, there's a lingering smell of baked chicken and some kind of creamy sauce. "There you are.. um.." He looks down at himself, then shrugs at his company;"I figured- you know..." He approaches into personal space and pulls gently at the collar of the black button up shirt with a thumb and index;"Not exactly cuddle me attire. You didn't think I'd drag my fellow introvert out right after work did you?" The tone of voice is soft, a bit playful as the subconscious adjusts to San's presence.
@christian y。 San had finally gotten back to his place after a long day of work and feeling even more exhausted but relieved since he worked out. Tossing his backpack to the side on the floor of his hallway, he shut the door behind him as he felt a vibration in his pocket. Taking a moment to pull out his phone and read the text from his favorite person, he couldn’t help the smile that formed upon his lips as he read the sweet text before quickly responding.

Heyo- I’m about to hop in the shower and be there in about an hour or so!
With that text sent, he quickly locked his door before darting to the shower, tossing his phone on the couch and quickly pulling out casual yet nice clothes from his closet to hop in the shower as he was in a bit of a time crunch but also truly excited to finally see his best friend after not seeing each other after some time.
After about a twenty minute shower, San hopped out of the steaming shower being sure to shut off the water behind. He took a few minutes to dry off, style his hair, and change before rushing out the door with a duffle bag and his phone in hand, but did not forget his gallon water bottle as he hopped into the Uber and began his journey to Christian’s place.
The drive did feel like a drag, but he kept himself busy on his phone and doing last minute phone calls and sooner than he thought, he had arrived. Thanking the driver and giving them a tip, San steps out of the vehicle and happily strolls over to the familiar door, taking a moment to compose himself before bringing his free hand to knock on the wooden door, taking a small step back so there is space for when Christian opens the door.
@san c。 Christian had spent the day cleaning his home, and deciding what to fix for an early dinner before San got off work. It was mundane, the things he occupied himself with. The worry of pickiness for food, entertainment and talks of romance were the only points of interest. Never a man much for romantic encounters or conversations about dating, Christian found himself self soothing with subconscious lip . Even worse, 3:30 seemed to come about slowly, but as the hour was upon him, he’s eager to text his friend.
