@✉ ⋮ choi eunae the woman’s response made the corner’s of junyoung’s lips curve up slightly, barely noticeable as he tried to hide it. if he could say anything about choi eunae, it was that she was an entertaining woman, and he respected her ability to relentlessly flirt despite knowing the outcome. as she referenced his “assets”, he couldn’t stop the short chuckle that fell from his lips. his hand reached up to gently pull her finger away from his chest, his gaze only flickering to the hem of the shirt for a second before returning to her face, amusement in his tone as he replied, “nice try, but you know it’s not happening tonight. you know the rules. i don’t anyone that's had more than two drinks, and we both know you’ve had plenty more than that, sweetheart.”
he stepped away from her then, turning toward the door as he continued speaking, “maybe in the morning, when you’re sober. for now, you should eat something. i’ll make you a grilled cheese and then you can go to bed.” he reached out to grasp her wrist, gentle once again to prevent hurting her, and led her toward the kitchen. she could probably walk on her own by now, but if she stumbled through the house and fell and broke something (or herself) that would not be good. so instead he took care of her, as he always did when she was like this.
many people would question why he does these things for her, but the best reason he could come up with was that he was grateful to her for being someone that didn’t expect too much from him. their arrangement had grown into a primarily lighthearted friendship where they could banter, release their pent-up frustrations, and have no strings attached. of course, they each had their own reasons for entering such an arrangement, but as long as they kept things surface-level between them, they could make this work for a little while longer.
once in the kitchen, junyoung placed a pan on the stove and buttered up a couple of pieces of bread, placing one in the pan along with a slice of cheese and another slice of bread. it was a simple meal he had learned to cook from an american friend in the military and he had surprisingly become obsessed at one point. it was also something easy and quick enough that he could be done in 5 minutes. soon enough, he had the sandwich plated and in front of his drunk friend. “how did the show go tonight?” he asked, making small talk like they normally did.
@✉ ⋮ moon junyoung she had been about to raise her voice with complaints at how long it was taking junyoung to answer the door, her seltzer long since finished and now an empty can she was begrudgingly glaring at. she was all smiles, though, when the door did finally open, her body nearly tipping over without the support of the door. if it weren't for the other scooping her into his arms as he normally would on nights like these, she probably would have ended up sprawled on the floor.
"mmm, did you miss me? didn't realize," she mumbled distractedly, already pressing her lips against his jawline the second she was brought into his arms, it was the reason she had gone there after all, "you know you can always call when you're feeling . i certainly wouldn't complain." when she was sober she would wonder how she had been blessed to have their arrangement with such a patient guy, because any sane person would have told her to seek help already.
her nose wrinkled at the mention of some of her less fortunate appearances at junyoung's door, lower lip jutting out in a pout of complaint while she lifted her arms to help in the removal of her clothes, tempted to make his job a little harder but ultimately determining that to be too much work. "someone spilled their beer on me trying to grab me after the show, but," she grinned cheekily, holding up her pointer finger like she was about to make an amazing point, "eunae cannot be swayed when her mind is set on something....or someone with amazing assets."
she trailed her finger along the front of his t-shirt, using the action to keep her focus while the room seemed to spin around her. looking up at him through her lashes, she fiddled with the hem of the oversized t-shirt she wore, hoping to draw his attention to the action. "could use some destressing. what about you?"
@✉ ⋮ choi eunae junyoung had just gotten home from work, a music event that had ended surprisingly early, and had finished showering, changed into a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt, and even cooked himself a simple meal of chicken and rice. he was settling down onto the couch to unwind when he heard a knock at the door, and with one look at the time he knew immediately who it was. there was only one person that would knock on his door at this ungodly hour, choi eunae.
the girl always managed to find his house when she was drunk instead of the apartment she shared with three men. it became almost like a routine where she would knock on the door, he would let her in, she would stumble drunkenly around the house, he’d pick her up and carry her into the spare bedroom, he’d change her out of the sometimes vomit covered clothes and put on fresh clean clothes for her, and then the next morning she would somehow end up in his bed when he awoke, and from there… fun ensued. t was a cycle that often repeated, and junyoung would grumble about always having to take care of her, but he actually appreciated their casual fling. they knew without a doubt that there was nothing romantic between them. it was just casual , and that was all he needed right now.
on this particular night, he opened the door as usual, speaking aloud, “i wondered if i would see you tonight. it’s been a few days. i see you’ve been well.” the last part brought a teasing smile to his lips as he scooped the drunken woman up into his arms and carried her to the spare bedroom, where he had clothes of his that he didn’t wear anymore and were kept specifically to put on her. she really did spend way too much time at his house, but he wouldn’t kick her out. “it looks like you didn’t throw up on yourself this time, but why do your clothes still smell like this?” he took off all of her smelly clothes and quickly put on a pair of boxers and an oversized t-shirt before his gaze and thoughts could wander. he wouldn’t take advantage of women that were this drunk. he was at least somewhat of a gentleman.
@✉ ⋮ moon junyoung that night eunae had been at one of her lowest points, plagued by the previous night's dreams that felt too real to be a figment of her imagination. her hands had shaken during her entire set, professionalism being the only reason she had managed to put on a good show. and her reputation as a musician. couldn't exactly be at music and constantly drunk or high off her . people can excuse her bad habits when she's as talented as she was.
her drunken stumbling had somehow led her into an uber she ordered, selecting the first address on her mind, and that's how she ended up outside junyoung's door. she sat on the floor, nursing the can of whatever seltzer she had managed to get her hands on as she left the venue faded echoes had performed at that night.
even while drunk, she couldn't fully escape the imagery in her head, which is why she assumed she had wound up at her friend's(?) door. with junyoung had been another form of escaping reality for her. couldn't think of literally drowning when she was experiencing every wave of pleasure that y man could inflict on her body. so she continued to lift her hand to knock at his door, hoping he was home and not working some late night security gig shift. it would be embarrassing if he walked up on her smiling stupidly at how she could feel each knock she inflicted on the door through her temple.
