p.s. u/beenchilling wouldn't changing ppl's hearts be a kind of emotional manipulation to an extent? :O so at the end of the day, both of them play into manipulation(?)

the thought that there's a possibility we could make up through this scenario is actually quite tempting but i wouldn't risk my chances, so i'm quite happy to end up as shark food all alone than be unwillingly fed to them by someone i don't consider fondly

without person: certain death, with person: certain life, but u have to deal with the person for 30 days..

changing people’s mind is easier because as long as you have flawless logic and enough justification a fully rational person has no choice but to believe you, no superpowers required
on the other hand, the heart does what the heart wants no matter how much the brain rationalises- effectively uncontrollable :” and heart gets the final say… so if I had to choose I’d choose heart so all dimensions are accounted for HAHAHA

but be honest, u/lucypercent, haven’t you already chosen using ur heart :D SLSKS (say yes, prove my theory right, jk HAHAHA)

@h. yeji ᵘ/ˡᵘᶜʸᵖᵉʳᶜᵉⁿᵗ I personally would choose change people's mind. I don't know, heart a fragile element. Like it changes unexpectedly and often based on emotions. But mind, it's more rational and logical. people don't conclude it easily and it takes time to make up one's mind. Say, if I am able to change someone's mind means I can control that person entirely. Because brain is an important decision-making tool. Compared to heart, people often follow their heart recklessly and tend not to consider other alternatives but the one that they have faith the most. Brain and mind don't do that. They value and weigh each option they had before making an actual decision. Hence, being able to change people's mind will give you a greater power whilst being able to change people's heart will grant you greater affection.

although your opinion is not wrong about the when, u/pennyboy i do take that in. you’re right though about the random point in time! i didn’t think about the random time really, especially if you only got an hour bc what is an hour really when you got to spend time w your loved ones. but actually tho, thinking about death do get me wondering stuffs sometimes.

i think what causes my hesitation to pick knowing when is the possibility of what if this type of knowledge is given to you at a random point in time, and you learn that you'll die in an hour, or perhaps in a matter of minutes? i'd probably spiral into figuring out what to do first and who to call first, and in panic, i've missed out the chance to actually say goodbye and appreciate what i had while i was living.

Like what ᵘ/ᶠʳᵒᵒᵗˡᵒᵒᵖ said, we can at least avoid the cause of death if we could know how we die. we 'might' able be able to work around the loophole and who knows, escaping it
