@yoo kihyun. wookjin's eyes widened and he immediately looked away from the other male's incriminating gaze. somehow that made the prince feel partially responsible for what was happening, even though he himself had no clue that their parents had been working on an arranged marriage in the first place. "our room?" he shifted looking between his father and his mother now. wookjin couldn't believe that everything would be moving that quickly. their parents really weren't messing around, were they? "um, so this is all pretty crazy, huh?" wookjin murmured softly to his husband-to-be, a sheepish smile on his lips. if they were to be married, he figured he might as well begin to get to know the other male, even if he really had little to no desire to. "i'm wookjin, by the way. i'm aware you know who i am already, but i thought it would be proper to officially introduce myself."

@jung wookjin. A little bit too much was going on in Kihyun's head, and he knew well that if royalty arrangements were meticulously done like this, their parents would not take no for an answer. An irritated expression was evident in Kihyun's face upon meeting the prince's gaze; not that it was his fault, but he was not ready for this plan. "See- we probably wouldn't like to marry each other... So why-" His father had a tinge of harshness in his voice even behind that friendly smile, as if reminding Kihyun to behave. "That's why you two will get to know each other more. This is for the future of the kingdom too. The royalty wanted security with how the kingdom will be run, and they entrusted us with that. Your room together is also ready for tomorrow, and of course we'll give you weeks to prepare before the official ceremony." Kihyun wanted to retaliate, but he sighed in defeat and decided to just focus on finishing his food, giving a glance or two at the prince in between, while the parents celebrate and ramble on about the upcoming wedding, and eventually it was about to end.

@yoo kihyun. as soon as those words were uttered, wookjin's head snapped up in the direction of his father's friend and he stared in complete horror. soon to be spouse? wookjin figured he'd be married off sometime soon, but not /this/ soon, and definitely not to another man. did their parents really think this was a great move? wouldn't the citizens talk? "father..." he started, nearly freezing when the entire room focused their attention on him. "i thought we were waiting until i was a bit older before i got married. and, um, aren't i supposed to be wed to a...princess?" wookjin glanced nervously over to kihyun with an apologetic look in his eyes. he, of course, didn't mean to offend the other since they didn't technically belong to the same class...but wasn't that how things were supposed to work? or was he just crazy?

@jung wookjin. "It was an honor to feast together with you tonight." Kihyun's father graciously uttered in front of the high royalty, and at this point, Kihyun was growing impatient, trying not to show a sign though, as he didn't want to seem like he ruined the occasion. After settling down, the meat was already served in front of them, with Kihyun deciding to focus on that and taking a little bite, not knowing where to look exactly as he wasn't in the best mood to engage either; he'd rather approach his noble friends now. After a few moments of eating though, with a bit of chit-chat from the parents of both sides, Kihyun's father told him "You know... We have been waiting to tell you this, and I'm sure you can adjust in no time. But we thought that it is time for you to meet your soon-to-be spouse." Kihyun's eyes widened and gazed at the prince for a moment, before back at his father. "...My what?"

@yoo kihyun. wookjin sat next to his father at the head of the table, both of his parents' expressions giving away no hints as to what would come. he felt nervous, but why? this was just another event he'd have to suffer through, mingling with guests and acting like he cared about the royals from neighboring kingdoms. all he truly wanted to do was hide away in his room or sneak out into the gardens in the back of the castle to relax. wookjin hardly considered himself to be a social person, yet all of the citizens and noble people adored him. when only three individuals walked in, the prince grew confused. where was everyone else? he again glanced toward his parents, but they focused on welcoming their friends and their son. not sure as to what to say, wookjin remained silent, staring at the plate in front of him.

@jung wookjin. Kihyun was accompanied by his parents, who are of the well-honored class too, as he entered the deeper part of the castle, specifically a private feast room where delicious foods were already served and table itself was well-decorated with ornaments. Blood would suffice, but he was told that this is a special event. Taking one of the seats, he was giving a puzzled expression and a look of doubt, whispering to his father. "Dad... Why are we only with the king, queen, and their son? What did I tell you about "that"?" He groaned a bit, because he already had a bit of a hunch on what was about to happen about seeing the king's family, and he is not liking it one bit. He let out a sigh, but had to put on a classy greeting by bowing to the king and queen. "Good evening, your majesty."
