@・゚✧ choi seungcheol "I didn't prepare the meal, you did," she laughed softly at his words, before remembering that she had a bottle of fine wine that a fan gave. "Oh wait, let me just...grab..." Bouncing up on her feet, she went over to the chiller, pouring the wine into two glasses before coming back to the table. Tteokkbokki and wine may have seemed like an odd combination, but she knew Seungcheol wouldn't judge her. He never did.
"You are, objectively. In fact I think you could probably pass for an actor," the female genuinely thought that, especially with how mesmerising his eyes were. Plus, he had this exotic sort of look to him that made him special.
"Oh? What case? Is it dangerous?" She was more interested in his work than disappointed that he'd have to spend time at work, since she did respect his occupation a lot. "Sure, mhm...we can go somewhere nice!"
@・゚✧ han sohee Seungcheol couldn't help but smile as he watched Sohee bustle around the kitchen, preparing their late-night dinner. He appreciated her dedication to her work and knew that her schedule often left her with little free time. He reached out to gently caress her hand as she bent down to kiss him on the cheek. "It's alright, Sohee. I understand your busy schedule," he reassured her. "And besides, it's always worth the wait when I get to enjoy a meal you've prepared."
As she mentioned the upcoming kiss scene in her drama, he chuckled at her pinching his cheeks. "I trust you completely, Sohee," he replied, his eyes filled with affection. "And I'm flattered that you think I'm cuter than Seojoon."
Taking a bite of the delicious food she had heated up, he savored the flavors for a moment before answering her question. "Actually, I do have to work tomorrow," he admitted with a hint of regret in his voice. "There's a case I need to follow up on, and it might take up most of my day. But how about we plan something special for our anniversary once I'm off duty? We can make the most of the time we have together." He smiled warmly, hoping to make their belated celebration memorable.
@・゚✧ choi seungcheol Actually, Sohee'd been intending on going straight to bed without having dinner. Firstly, she was a little tired, and secondly, food after 7pm was a no no to avoid bloating. Thankfully, it was her free day tomorrow, which meant she didn't have to film her drama. "Oh yummy, bossam, chicken and tteokbokki!" she hummed as she heated up the food, throwing them into the microwave. They were her favourites,
While waiting for the food to be heated, she walked over to him, bending down as she pecked him on the cheeks. "Sorry, I hope you're not starving. Next time, just give me a call?" Oh, who was she lying to though, her schedules were schedules. Even if her manager told her she had a call on her phone, that didn't mean she could abscond immediately. Walking back to the microwave when it started beeping, she placed the hot food on the table, watching in satisfaction as the smoke rose.
"Hmm? Kiss scenes? Just a small tiny one in the next episode." The drama she was currently filming was more of an action one thankfully, not a rom com. "You don't have to be worried, I think you're cuter than Seojoon," Reaching over, she pinched his cheeks softly, chuckling before picking up her utensils. "Lets eat!' she excitedly dug her fork into the tteokbokki, popping one between her lips.
"Are you on duty tomorrow, hm?" she asked curiously, wondering if they'd have time to go on a short date tomorrow. Though it was a Saturday, Seungcheol was sometimes required to work; especially if he had urgent cases on hand.
@・゚✧ han sohee Sohee's words of apology tugged at Seungcheol's heartstrings, and he wrestled with his conflicting emotions. He had initially been hurt by her forgetfulness, but as he looked into her eyes, he saw genuine remorse and exhaustion. It wasn't like her to forget something as important as their anniversary intentionally. Her demanding schedule had been a constant source of strain on their relationship, and he knew that all too well.
He wanted to be upset, to make her understand just how important this day was to him, to voice his disappointment. Yet, as he watched her move around the kitchen, heating up their dinner, he found it difficult to hold onto his frustration. Sohee had been making sacrifices for her career, and he respected that.
Seungcheol managed a small, forced smile, realizing that he had a choice to make. He could choose to let disappointment fester and potentially harm their relationship, or he could choose to be understanding and supportive. He opted for the latter, even though a part of him still longed for that special celebration they had planned.
"It's okay," he replied, his voice softer than he had intended. "I know you've been busy, sugar. I've been here for a little while, but it's not a big deal." His words were genuine, and he meant them. They had built something more significant than anniversaries and celebrations, something that could weather the challenges of their demanding lives.
As they sat down to eat, Seungcheol decided to steer the conversation toward lighter topics. "how's your latest drama project coming along? is there any kiss scenes?" asked him trying not to be jealous over it.
@・゚✧ choi seungcheol It'd been nearly a year since the couple had moved in together. Sohee had first met Seungcheol at a mutual friend's party, and ever since then they'd hit it off, though she'd never have expected herself to be dating a detective. Since she was in showbiz, she'd always thought she'd end up dating someone like a producer, or a fellow celebrity. Seungcheol though, was a breath of fresh air. Unlike the many others she'd dated, he hadn't changed over the years, nor treated her differently after they moved in.
Perhaps it was thanks to him that her career had hit its peak recently, since he often gave her advice on human psychology, or how she should portray a certain role. Like the villainess in her latest hit drama that was currently the #1 streamed on Netflix. Of course, being popular came with its own set of responsibilities (not that she was complaining), and one of it was working late.
Today, she hadn't texted him the entire day because of ber packed schedule, and their anniversary was certainly not on her mind. Even as she stepped in the door, she was reciting lines for the next episode of drama filming, mumbling to herself. Naturally, she assumed he was asleep by now since it was almost midnight, so when she saw a figure upon entering the dining room, she nearly screamed.
Until she saw the food and roses on the table and quickly realised why. Biting the insides of her cheeks, a pang of guilt hit her, and she thought of what to say. She knew he was upset, judging from the look on his face.
"Shucks. I'm so sorry. I forgot. How long have you been sitting here?" Quickly, she put her handbag aside, washing her hands before joining him at the table. "I'l heat the food up?"
@・゚✧ han sohee Seungcheol had spent the entire day consumed by his latest case, his mind racing with clues and suspects. But as the evening approached, he couldn't help but steal glances at the calendar on his desk. It marked a special day, their third anniversary with Sohee. Determined to make it unforgettable, he hurriedly wrapped up his work.
With a bouquet of roses in one hand and a bag filled with decorations and a carefully prepared meal in the other, he made his way to Sohee's house. The apartment was dimly lit when he arrived, creating the perfect atmosphere for a romantic dinner. He set to work, placing candles on the table, arranging the flowers, and setting up the meal. Seungcheol even managed to sneak a small anniversary cake onto the table.
Hours passed, and Seungcheol grew increasingly impatient, his excitement mingling with a hint of worry. Just when he began to wonder if something had gone wrong, he heard the familiar sound of the door opening. His heart raced as he sat in the dimly lit room, waiting in anticipation.
When Sohee finally entered, his smile initially brightened, but as he noticed her casual tone and lack of acknowledgment, his expression turned gloomy, disappointment clearly visible in his eyes. "Oh crap, why are you sitting in the darkness?" she exclaimed, surprised by the ambiance he had created. Seungcheol's shoulders slumped, and he let out a sigh, clearly upset. "I wonder why too."
