@Hwang Hyunjin ˢᵒⁿ ᵒᶠ ᴴᵃᵈᵉˢ "Liar, your mother wants you around more than anything." Yeonjun laughed, shaking their head. They knew very well that Madison harbored feelings for her children, this child in particular. Why, he couldn't say he knew. Children were a weakness that couldn't be afforded. At least, compassion for ones children was a weakness. Madison was too soft for her own good. "Too bad, it would have been fun had we met sooner." Their smirk was damn near sinister, it was really too bad that they hadn't meet when Hyunjin was just an impressionable little child. "My point is simple. You struggle to control your power because Madison's grief is bigger than you are. You're trying harness something bigger than you."
@Choi Yeonjun ᴱʳⁱˢ Lying once again. “Nope. She doesn’t even want me around the underworld. Highly doubt she would want a nuisance like yourself around her home.” Hyunjin tried remembering, yet he couldn’t really remember. Too long ago for him to remember. “Mmm I don’t really know. I was uh.. More in my room. I did not… I wasn’t allowed to wander from my room or Persephone’s Garden.” Hyunjin didn’t like Yeonjun mentioning Seungwan.. His eye twitches and he closes his eyes tightly. “Y-your point…?”
@Hwang Hyunjin ˢᵒⁿ ᵒᶠ ᴴᵃᵈᵉˢ "We probably have, Madison adores me. I visit her all the time," Yeonjun chuckled, another lie but one
that they enjoyed immensely. Madison hated them with a beautiful passion, and that was precisely why Yeonjun always went to visit her, she was too much fun to resist. "You'd have seen me around, particularly on days when Madison's temper is at its worst." They didn't mention that they were the cause of that bad temper though, he was sure Hyunin could put those pieces together on his own. "Your half sister probably has an easier time controlling her powers too, doesn't she? You are the unlucky one my dear. You have your mother's temper and all of her grief. You were born from grief and pain, of course you struggle to control your power."
@Choi Yeonjun ᴱʳⁱˢ The comment made Hyunjin freeze, eye twitching at the comment. No. No, he was not like his mother. He couldn’t possibly be like his mother. Hyunjin felt repulsed and wanted to choke this teacher for even daring to say those words. “I… I am not Madison.. I-i am my own person..” He snarls softly, hating that with a passion. “Look familiar…? Have.. Have we met before?” Tilting his head to the side. “My half sister doesn’t hate Madison. And you don’t get it.. I was raised in the underworld. No mortal father. Nothing!” His shadows start slithering up his body, Hyunjin was getting angry and he didn’t know why he wasn’t doing what Boss taught him to do.
@Hwang Hyunjin ˢᵒⁿ ᵒᶠ ᴴᵃᵈᵉˢ "I see where you get your attitude from, you're just like your mother." Yeonjun laughed, this kid was going to be a lot of fun. He was so much like his mother it was comical, no wonder Madison had such a soft spot for the kid. "Raised in the Underworld? No wonder you look familiar. Poor baby, Mommy didn't love you enough." He snickered, what a tired story. It happened with all the little lost sheep that ended up at this camp. Mommy or Daddy left them behind and now they're living out their teenage angst phase with everyone else. "You and everyone else here. You'd be hard pressed to find someone here who does have resentment towards their godly parent. Do you plan to just let that resentment control you? Or would you prefer to control it? Because your shadows obey your whims, even the subconscious ones."
@Choi Yeonjun ᴱʳⁱˢ “Honestly debatable… Your eyes are looking a little too puffy. You okay? Sleeping at night? Or is chaos constantly on your mind, sir?” He smirks, shrugging his shoulders, stretching his arms above his head. He needed to be ready for whatever this teacher had in store for him. Hyunjin couldn’t possibly allow this teacher to get under his skin. Boss taught him better. “She abandoned me. Like every goddess and god does… But.. I was raised in the underworld.. Seeking her affection and she pushed me away. So I do have resentment towards her.”
@Hwang Hyunjin ˢᵒⁿ ᵒᶠ ᴴᵃᵈᵉˢ "Right, and I'm too pretty to teach but here we are." Yeonjun rolled their eyes at the response. This kid was every bit Madison's son, right down to being an insufferable little . If it hadn't been for Madison explicitly telling him to stay away from her children he wouldn't even bother with this brat. He was hardly worth the extra effort. "Madison huh? Mommy issues, I'm not surprised. What about her exactly? When someone insults her, when you think about her, are you mad she abandoned you? Is it seeing her? What exactly about Madison sets you off?"
@Choi Yeonjun ᴱʳⁱˢ Snorting at the other's snarky response, Hyunjin clicks his tongue for a brief moment. Should he even be on edge around this teacher? The other’s motives were still unclear and he felt a bit weirded out, was it more because his shadows were making him on edge or could it be something about this person’s aura that made him hate this small interaction? “I am too pretty for that..” humming silently, Hyunjin was able to somewhat calm his jitters down. Should he even tell this man about it? “Madison.. She is my trigger.”
@Hwang Hyunjin ˢᵒⁿ ᵒᶠ ᴴᵃᵈᵉˢ "That's a good step in the right direction then, look at you being helpful I hope you don't break out in hives or something." Yeonjun nodded along to what Hyunjin was saying. It lined up with exactly what he'd suspected. For someone who claimed to have no emotions, it was clear he didn't have a handle on whatever emotions he clearly did have. It was no wonder he was losing control so quickly and suddenly. It was more of a miracle that he had any control at all. "You have some emotions, I won't argue with you over the full spectrum but you feel something and when you do your shadows act out. What is your trigger? You need to learn how to process and handle what triggers you or you'll never gain control of your powers. They will always control you."
@Choi Yeonjun ᴱʳⁱˢ “Love the honesty.. Really. Just warms up my heart way too much.” Shrugging, Hyunjin looks to the teacher wondering how this one would make any sort of difference in his life. The young male took mental notes of everything this teacher was saying, nodding silently. “I… It’s just an overwhelming rush… Just takes over and I lose all of my mind.” Thinking it over, Madison was his trigger. Always was. “Always a trigger… i just don’t snap out of nowhere.”
@Hwang Hyunjin ˢᵒⁿ ᵒᶠ ᴴᵃᵈᵉˢ "Of course you're not important enough to be worth anything. You're just one of many." Yeonjun agreed, waving that away, listening attentively-- or as attentively as they are capable of-- as Hyunjin explained his problem. "I see, so I was right. Your shadows act with your emotions. Tell me, when you lose your mind what are you thinking or feeling in the moments leading up to it? Is there any warning, or does it just happen suddenly? Was there a trigger for it?" He could guess there was some kind of trigger, there almost always was, but it would be far more interesting if it happened more randomly. That would be harder to control and far more chaotic, and Yeonjun did love some chaos.
@Choi Yeonjun ᴱʳⁱˢ “Sure about that? Seems like you just wanna be known for somehow helping the offspring of Hades.. Surprise. I’m not important enough to be worth anything.” Rolling his eyes at the others grin. Soon crossing his arms across his chest, he observed Yeonjun. Hyunjin sighs as he tries to relax in his stance. “My shadows… Most of the time listen… But when I lose my mind… All i see is black.. Nothing else matters…”
@Hwang Hyunjin ˢᵒⁿ ᵒᶠ ᴴᵃᵈᵉˢ "Test subject? Hardly, darling." Yeonjun flashed a grin, this little spawn of Madison's was far too cute. It made them want to eat him up. "You are correct, she has no friends. Least of all me." They agreed, making sure the hair was safely tucked away so they could give it to Madison as a gift the next time they saw her. "What a lie. You are not. If that were true you wouldn't have hesitated." Rolling their eyes they pushed themselves to stand up, dusting the dirt off their pants. "Your shadows, what about them are you having trouble controlling? Do they act on their own? Do they hurt people, what exactly is the problem? The more you tell me the more I can help you. Controlling shadows is one of my own powers, so I'm uniquely capable at helping you learn to control yours."
@Choi Yeonjun ᴱʳⁱˢ Interesting. Oh so interesting, this teacher of sorts was going to do a different approach to teaching, but it was honestly something he needed to be wary about. "But me as your test subject right...? Well, lets see how you like me." Shrugging his shoulders, his eyes observe Yeonjun, his shadows buzzing in his ears. "I... Madison is just a descendant of Hades... Highly doubt she has any favori-" Eyes widening when his hair is plucked, he smacks the teacher's hand away. Rolling his eyes, catching onto the lie. "Not funny... She has no friends." Speaking under his breath, his body started trembling. He needed to calm down. Counting backwards like Boss taught him, before answering. "I-i am fine with my regulation of my nonexistent emotions."
@Hwang Hyunjin ˢᵒⁿ ᵒᶠ ᴴᵃᵈᵉˢ "I hate groups, too much stupid in a small space." Yeonjun waved that comment away, it was bad enough he had to teach groups all day, he was going to have his own fun now. "Not Madison's favorite, hm? Are you sure?" He teased, reaching out he plucked a hair off Hyunjin's head, grinning as he tucked into his pocket. "A present for your mother. She and I are best friends you know." That was a blatant and bold faced lie. Madison had strictly told him not to touch a single hair on her children's heads. So naturally he had to take a souvenir back to her. "How is your emotional regulation little son of Madison? Nine times out of ten struggling to control powers is a sign of poor emotional regulation. Magic is an extension of you and reacts to your emotions."
@Choi Yeonjun ᴱʳⁱˢ “Would it really matter to a stranger? I don’t really know who you are, so your comments to me are irrelevant.” Hyunjin bites his lower lip, soothing the slight ache in his lip. Looking at his new teacher, Hyunjin wondered what this man was actually up to. Was he here to genuinely teach? Or did he have other motives? “I… I would have thought you’d do a group session. Guess not.” Hyunjin hums to himself, looking at the surroundings, then back to Yeonjun. That blood was starting to blood inside of his body. “I-i am not… I am not Madison’s favorite.”
@Hwang Hyunjin ˢᵒⁿ ᵒᶠ ᴴᵃᵈᵉˢ Still enjoying the calmness and peace this place offered Mile, he kept listening to the sounds of Hyunjin's movements. Knowing that he's now settled to the rock next to him, he listened to the demigod and as soon as he mentioned what he did and what happened, Mile pondered on it. It's not something that he had experienced himself but quite familiar as a lot of demigods, upon realizing the power that they hold, lose control over it, and that temporary feeling of their power engulfing their inhibitions takes over and in its wake, confusion, fear, and regret takes place.
"What else did you feel, Hyunjin? Having that immense power that you have, just like the other demigods here, I'm sure it felt great to be able to release it but in that spur of the moment, when you lost control, aside from liking it, what else did you feel? Moreover, how did you feel about it after you realized what happened?" Mile's voice was soft and he avoided a condemning tone.
There's nothing wrong with losing control of what they have as demigods but rather teaching these kids, as part of Olympus' future generation, it's important to teach them the pros and cons of their powers and how to control it and never lose sight of their purpose. Sitting there with a soft smile on his lips, Mile shifted his body to face Hyunjin, the light helping him locate the latter as he could see his silhouette and he continued. "No judgments here, Hyunjin. Just tell me all of what you felt during and after your outburst.
@Hwang Hyunjin ˢᵒⁿ ᵒᶠ ᴴᵃᵈᵉˢ "I should hope you aren't that soft." Yeonjun scoffed, rolling their eyes as they crossed their arms and regarded the little Hade's spawn. This one was going to be fun, Yeonjun could just tell already. They were such a cute little spawn, as far as spawns were concerned at any rate. Made Yeonjun want to pinch his cheek. "Why not? You wanted the help didn't you? I owe your mother a favor or sorts, told her I would help you out since you're struggling with control. And I've already gotten on your nerves." They smirked, amusement clear in their tone and their expression. They weren't taking any of it seriously, but why should they? It was just another game in a line of them that they were going to enjoy playing. Knocking down the dominos to watch them all come tumbling down. "What a precious little darling, are you mommy's favorite?"
@Choi Yeonjun ᴱʳⁱˢ Not something he hasn’t heard before, nibbling on his lower lip, he was eyeing his new “teacher.” Humming silently, Hyunjin lets a small smirk on his face appear. “Was that meant to hurt me?” Hyunjin wasn’t quite sure what to feel about this situation. His shadows whispering every plan of action, nodding when they were able to guide the boy to safety, meaning back to camp. Hyunjin retracts his shadows, once going over his worries, his eye twitched. Lazy…? Did this little bug just call him lazy? The whites in his eyes turned black, Hyunjin tightening his fists as he was counting down. Oh he wanted to hurt this other person, his eyes narrowing and the shadows started buzzing. “Why am I alone here…?”
@Hwang Hyunjin ˢᵒⁿ ᵒᶠ ᴴᵃᵈᵉˢ "Exactly what I expect from Hade's spawn, more edge than a knife." Yeonjun rolled their eyes at the attitude. This body was everything they knew he would be. He had his own shadows clinging to him and Yeonjun knew he'd sent a few out to the forest to find the poor idiot who was now wandering around lost. They had half a mind to put a stop to it, but in the end they decided to leave it be. Let the little idiot play hero if that's what he wanted to do. "Touch of Death? Care to demonstrate?" They asked, amusement coloring their words. "Shadows are easy, you're just lazy. Now what about you?" They asked the next student, tuning them out after that. He didn't actually care what their problem was. Most of it could be solved with basic emotional control. Once the final introduction was made he went to sit back down on his rock, sitting indian style and looking at the group. "Hade's spawn can stay, the rest of you off. This is your first class, I'm not actually going to do anything." They waved them away with a little shooing motion. They would put together a lesson plan based on their issues and go from there. Just because they had to be a teacher didn't mean they had to be a good one. They would do this their own way, in whatever methods they chose.
@Choi Yeonjun ᴱʳⁱˢ Struggling to see, Hyunjin allows his shadows to slither up his body and forming shades on his eyes. Covering/shielding him from the harsh light, which allowed for Hyunjin to lower his hoodie, using his tongue to lightly play with the piercing he had on his lower lip. The eagerness of those around him, annoying the living hell out of him. Rolling his eyes, Hyunjin observed the class, too much chirpiness for him. Counting down, Hyunjin felt his body aching. Maybe he should skip out on this class, something wasn’t right anyways. Something wasn’t sitting well with him and it bothered him greatly. The clapping rang in his ears, his shadows shaking and trembling. Warning him to stay alert. Oh boy. Silently whispering to his shadows, they disappeared to search for the boy. The forest was a no go for anyone. Hyunjin was just going to help the boy get to his assigned house. Soon his eyes looked over to the one who started this nonsense. Rolling his eyes, he hated introductions. “Annoyingly enough, I don’t think i have to introduce myself.” Huffing as he’s elbowed in his side, he silences himself before speaking up. “Names Hyunjin, and I am struggling with my Touch of Death and mostly my shadows.”
@Hwang Hyunjin ˢᵒⁿ ᵒᶠ ᴴᵃᵈᵉˢ Oh, things got a little interesting. Yeonjun's attention was immediately piqued when he spotted the, fairly obvious, spawn of Hades. He looked like every angsty teenager they had ever seen. This was going to be fun. Standing up he clapped his hands to get everyone's attention, and when one of the idiots thought it was a good idea to keep talking his shadow rose up and devoured him, spitting him out somewhere in the forest, Yeonjun didn't really care where. The brat was still alive, and he will have learned a valuable lesson, don't disrupt class. "Anyone else have any thoughts they'd like to share before we get started? I'd be happy to send you out with him." They said, address the slightly horrified group of students. When only silence met them they nodded. "Good, we'll start with introductions. I'm Yeonjun, you will call me Yeonjun end of. Now, we'll start with you. Tell me who you are and what you're struggling with most in regards to your abilities." They pointed out the little emo Hade's spawn, crossing their arms and waiting for an answer. They could hardly pass up the chance to see what chaos they could stir up with one of Hade's children.
@Choi Yeonjun ᴱʳⁱˢ Hyunjin felt an odd presence in the camp, something about today’s lesson would either make him uncomfortable or even unfazed. Being warned about the new teacher in the camp, he was silent on his feet. Something was stirring inside of Hyunjin and it made him curious as to why. Making his way to the training grounds, his eyes squinted as the light constantly bothered him. Seeing the looks on many of the campers there, Hyunjin was the sore thumb. All moody and silent, wearing all black clothing and even a hoodie. He looked around for the so called new teacher, fiddling with his gloved hands. Boy this was going to be fun.
@Hwang Hyunjin ˢᵒⁿ ᵒᶠ ᴴᵃᵈᵉˢ If there was anything that Yeoniun hated it was absolutely everyone else in existence. Second to that would be children, and following right after would be forced labor. So it's not hard to imagine that Yeoniun hated teaching. He despised it with a deep burning passion that even the Underworld would be impressed by. They were, however, in enough trouble and weren't looking to get on the wrong side of too many Gods. War just wasn't entertaining, they'd caused wars enough in the past they weren't interested in doing it again. War had grown boring. So boring in fact that Yeoniun was willingly stuck at this Gods forsaken camp playing teacher to a bunch of stupid brats. Well, most of them were stupid.
99.9% of them were stupid. Their next class was set to start any time and they were interested in seeing who their newest victims were going to be.
Sitting down on a rock they crossed their arms, waiting and watching the little idiots come trickling in like lost little sheep. It was no wonder they couldn't control their powers. They were as pathetic as they come, some of them looked like a stiff breeze would send them running for their lives.
@Lee Gahyeon ᴰᵃᵘᵍʰᵗᵉʳ ᵒᶠ ᴴᵉʳᵃᶜˡᵉˢ Yeoniun hated children. Incidentally they also hated teaching. Even more than that they hated teaching children. It made their eye twitch every time one of the little brats asked a question forcing him to smile and answer like he wasn't mentally condemning them to the darkest pits of the Underworld. Yeoniun was not made to a be a teacher, that required patience and love, two things that Yeoniun had none of.
They wanted to mass murder the entire camp most days but they knew that would only get them into even more trouble. There were much worse punishments in the world than teaching, so Yeoniun was it up and playing nice. Getting ready for his next class of imbeciles that couldn't tell the difference between fire and a rock.
Okay... perhaps that was a bit harsh. Some of them could tell the difference but most of them couldn't.
How the idiots managed to live so long is lost on Yeoniun. Some kind of miracle of fate or something like it. Their next class of the day was far from their favorite. Their favorite class was the last one because it meant they were nearly finished with the days torture. "It's pop quiz day children!" They announced as soon as the students started to trickle in, grinning at the chorus of groans and exclamations that earned them.
@— Mile Phakphum ᴾˡᵘᵗᵘˢ At the approval of him being allowed over, Hyunjin made his way over. Sitting on the rock Mile’s had pointed to, the son of Hades quietly removed his shoes and socks. Letting his feet sink into the warm water, taking in the momentary silence. Trying to figure out his own thoughts, gently pulling out his small notepad of things he has been thinking and his little adventure to the Underworld. Yet, the breeze was cooling him down.
“I… I went to the Underworld.” He admits with a quiet whisper. The silence around them was enough for even his small whisper would sound loud. Hyunjin looks to the notebook, trying to gather his words. “Madison was there.. My so called mother.” He looks to the water. “I.. I lost control… And I liked it…” Hyunjin felt a sense of shame. “I.. Why am I feeling things?”
@Henry Cavill ˢᵒⁿ ᵒᶠ ᴴᵃᵈᵉˢ "well thanks for that, henry." bozana grumbled. wincing as he helped her up and she leaned against him... at least until he started teasing her again and she pushed him away with a glare. "and you still have the audacity to tease me." bozana grumbled, grabbing her whip and her dagger and limping back to the armory to toss them back inside. shooting the son of hades a glare, but a smile found it's way to her lips. "good fight." she said, just loud enough for him before she began heading off to the healing tree.
@Božana Abrlić ᵈᵃᵘᵍʰᵗᵉʳ ᵒᶠ ᵃᵖʰʳᵒᵈⁱᵗᵉ He looked at her shoulder and hissed at the sight of the burn. "That was fire from the Tartarus, it can spread if not treated quickly." He said and gets up, helping her to stand up as well. "Come on now, get your stuffs. Or do you want me to lift you up like a princess?" He smirked, still wanted to after all of that. He grabs his spear and looks over at her. "Are you alright?"
