@Ian Yu Rome had a late night he had finished at his small restaurant then he was called to go the fish market since there was an incident with the market manager. When he arrived the meeting took longer than expected and that irritated Rome, he dislike unnecessary things. He finished his last meeting of the day as he sighed gently trying to figure out what he would do. He ended up deciding to go around the beach, it was a beautiful night out and he wanted to try and explore a bit. He just couldn't get close to the water if not people would find him and that would be dangerous.
The elder walked around the beach for a bit and then he notice someone dragging themselves he waited a bit and then notice the blood and the person was actually hurt "Hey you ok!?!" He yelled out as he ran to the man then looked at his body "Let me take you to the doctor this looks bad" he spoke honestly as he tried to gently lift up the stranger without hurting him. He didn't want him to get more hurt.
@Rome Zeus Fire and ice. Light and dark. Good or bad. To swim or to sink. He stopped swimming. Ian was tired. So en tired of choosing. Tired of fighting. If he could finish off the monsters of the sea with a flick of his fingers, he wouldn’t be fighting restlessly every single night the way he was. “Hah… When was the last time I slept in a proper bed?” He mumbled to no one in particular as the waves blanketed him into the damp sand after the ocean spit him out. He preferred it to the cold, grainy air that lashed at his wounded sides. Though the salt stung, it reminded him that he was still alive. Pain was good.
‘Move. Move. Move god damn it.’ He hissed inwardly, forcing his arms to pull him up into a sitting position. His legs stopped working, but he could feel them. He let out a strained grunt and flipped over onto his stomach before clawing at the sand for whatever little support it had to provide, inching himself out of the water. Ian sensed the life draining from him, the gash on his side burning more intensely than moments ago, unshed tears welling in his eyes. "Keep. Moving," he panted, his body convulsing with every effort. Instead, his body falls limb again, prompting him to punch the sand in annoyance.
@Wonseo Blisifal Alec was sitting enjoying his warm tea when his vice captain and navigator ran to the small shop, they would never go there unless it was an emergency "Captain the storm catch up what are your orders?" The vice captain asked curiously as she stared at him breathlessly. Alec sipped on his yea silently as his adoptive grandmother giggle a bit then he sighed not wanting to be disturbed. He turned his head around as she offered the crew a place to stay at her friend's hotel/bar for few days. Then he nodded slowly as he turned to two crew members "We will stay here for four days. Blend in, put the ship in the cave, make sure that at least five stay on that ship daily they can change and do not let any strangers on my ship.... whoever is there will get killed" he order.
Before they left Alec looked at the vice captain "... You know better than to come here... next time I will put a bullet in your head" he warned as she m frowns and ran off, Alec didn't want anyone knowing about the old lady. Before he could sip on his drink he got a wack on his head, he spit the hot drink as the old lady had hit him with a news paper 'I know I did not hear that Alec, I did not raise you that way' she frown. The younger eye twitch he would never hurt the old lady, she scuffed a bit and walked to her kitchen. Then she notice the rain getting bad, Alec had clean the outside, but he needed to board the windows. Which he did in a couple of minutes, they could still see a bit of the outside.
The old lady saw someone a younger man outside the steps getting soak, she looked at Alec 'You know...you could be kind to others... maybe it wouldn't be so lonely' she suggested. Alec choke a bit, he smile for the first time in years, and actual smile behind his hands he cover it. The old lady was trying to play Match maker. He sighed as he stood up glaring at her playfully, then she made another bowl of soup. He open the door as he raised an eyebrow with a blank expression "It's cold outside... " he stared at the kid bags all wet and he was soak, he saw lighting hit the streets, and he pulled him close before it managed to get close to them. He grabbed the younger bags and place them inside then he close the door behind him "....Mrs. Cross...would like you to join us for soup...since it's storming.." he spoke honestly as he walked to sit down.
Mrs. Cross (his adopted grandmother) she walked over giving the younger a warm towel and some clothes 'Please use the changing room dear~ I don't need anyone getting sick~ oh my look at you, your are so adoroble' she turned to Alec 'Alexander isn't he cute?' She smile brightly. Alec eye twitch he had not heard his given name in years he slowly turned to his grandmother who embarrassed him. His face actually turned bright red, he scuffed and drank his tea. As she walked to him and smack him again with a newspaper 'Do not ignore me Alexander Jeremy Cross or you won't have dinner' she pouted. Before Alec could say anything someone else walked inside. Her husband walked in an he scuffed when he saw Alec 'Wow look who decided to return home... Alexander Jeremy when will you stop this nonsense of being a pirate' the old man spoke.
Alec had a face (eue the pikachu meme face) because both his adoptive grandparents were embarrassing him. He had not felt that emotion for years, and he turned away from them "You would know... White beard.." he spoke as he drank his tea. The old man face shifted as he was about to beat up Alec but Mrs. Cross stopped him and pointed at their guest 'You can both fight later not now...or inside the house' she squinted at both of them 'Alexander make our guest tea' she order as Alec sighed "It's Alec....and yes ma'am" he stood up as the old man started insulting him. Alec went to the kitchen he took off his jacket and his sword, weapons he knew that his adoptive grandparents hated weapons on the table.
Yes he was young and foolish when he was younger, when his father left him for death he meet The great White Beard who took him in and both him and his wife raised him, that story not many knew hence to why Alex is strongest around he got trained hard and learn to killed by the old man, yet he never mention it. Because if people found out, his adoptive grandmother would be in danger, so he did as he was told. He was still annoyed he got expose infront of some stranger and now he had to face him. He said he would killed the kid if he spoke of anything
@Alec Cross The look that was shot over one broad shoulder was enough to make Wonseo swoon - which was funny, considering he couldn't even be sure that it was for him and not the woman that reigned by the Captain's side. With his luck... He was probably closer to getting shot, and the tiny little derringer in his boot could do him no good against the pistol the other man wore. Pirates were a lawless bunch, and Wonseo held no presumption that he would be safe just because the laws of this town stated that murder was outlawed. He'd seen far worse in safer ports.
As the woman gave him warning, Wonseo stared up at her, realizing he hadn't paid attention to most of the words she spoke. He was too busy daydreaming about the man with the beautiful gaze. Still, he nodded, offering his silent agreement that he would... Be mindful. Yes. Mindful to keep his mouth shut better in the future, and not let his basest of impulses win next time. Wonseo blinked at this woman, trying to process the words that he *had* paid attention to.
To think, a man that looked like Cross wouldn't know kindness... Well, why wouldn't he? He clearly didn't seem the type to give it; that much was obvious. But to not receive it, from anybody? That seemed hard to swallow. Wonseo rested his eyes on the dread Captain once and found he could barely control himself from acting out of stupidity - others must throw themselves at him all the time.
He could feel the stares from the crowd - Wonseo knew it would be murmured across the wharf for days yet: How dumb he was to call after a known killer; That he had a death wish; Wondering what went through Wonseo's mind. He'd have to go confess to his parents before long, and he'd surely be kept under lock and key thereafter.
Shaking off the looks he'd been given, Wonseo began upon his errands, the silver and gold he'd taken to restock the ship with vital supplies gradually dwindling as he bought bushels of fruit and vegetables to restock the galley, dried meats and grains, barrel upon barrel of beer and wine - all set to be retrieved after the fish market closed, so the young fisherman could have help in getting everything.
He was so nearly done when the weather changed on a breeze, Wonseo's soft silk chemise drenched in a matter of moments as he dashed from stall awning to stall awning; dark hair plastered down to his forehead. He had nearly managed to get all his chores done for the day, but now the sailor was cold, wet, and annoyed with himself for not feeling it sooner.
He'd gladly blame his distraction, the Captain that could just as easily kill him as kiss him - and just like that, Wonseo's mind was lost again, a dizzying daydream of what those eyes might look like up close earning a shiver that had nothing to do with the weather. Stupid, to become so enamored so quickly, and Wonseo knew it. How dare the handsome captain capture him with a simple look.
Wonseo breathed out a sigh, hugging his arms around himself to warm his body up. The rain didn't seem to be in any rush to stop, and he was getting colder by the moment. He made the decision, finally resting on the idea to dash to the nearest restaurant to hopefully dry off by a fire and wait out the rain in peace somewhere more enclosed than any of the little shop stalls.
@Wonseo Blisifal As Alec was walking down the ship ramp a bunch of people stare at him, some in a bad way, and some in a ual way. The elder didn't have time to play games with anyone, however he had made a deal with the mayor of the town to not use violence, no pirate could use violence on this port. It was forbidden, if someone broke that law they would be sent to prison without any chance of survival, so he didn't take his chances. He heard someone saying 'captain' and when he turned around his vice-captain ran and cover the boy who called for him.
"What is it?" he asked raising an eyebrow, she just said she needed extra supplies and the elder shrugged as he walked away, The vice captain turned around 'are you mad boy? do not talk to him so lightly.' she whispered to him 'he just killed someone for calling him spoil.....' she sighed 'He ain't no hero....nor someone to look up...so please be mindful ..' she warned him. The vice captain was the only /kind/ one in the ship. She made sure everyone stayed in line and protect the crew as much as possible, however she wasn't stupid if someone stood in her way she would kill them on the spot. Before she walked away she turned to the young man '.....He doesn't know kindness.....be warned... Lad' she spoke softly as she vanished into the crowed.
Alex kept walking, he made his way to check the produces, and some of the supply stores, however he always went to this small shop in the middle of the market. It had the best chicken soup, he walked in and the old lady giggle at him. The place was dusty, muggy and people would look inside and be surprised to see someone like him in a crappy place like that. However what they didn't know is that the old lady safe him once, and Alec always repay her by coming to visit. She had been the only one he was kind too, not even his crew had seen that side of him "...how are you granny?" he asked in the softest tone. The lady began to speak to him as if he was her son, complaining about life, how everything was getting expensive and then she started shopping the ingredients for the soup when she looked at him 'I....have heard stories.....should I worry about you child?' she asked curiously.
Alec stayed silent as he stare out the window, it seem it was about the rain when he lean into the chair he was sitting at, he didn't respond. The lady brought him tea as she frown 'Will you be cruel to me too?' she asked another question. Alec looked at her showing his gentle eyes "Never" he promise as he took tea cup and drank a bit of tea. She smile softly at him, she told him other captains started to come into her small restaurant more often after Alec leaves, they always wonder what he has, so when she makes the soup the others get confused. However the soup the granny makes helps with the immune system and deep down it helps Alec remember he's still human.
He notice how it started to rain, so he went outside and put the tables inside, he cover other things, then he walked back inside. He took out three big pouches of money and put them behind the des "One for your debt....two....for more produce...and third....for you to make this place look better, maybe some business will help this place .." he rolled his eyes. The granny threw a ginger at the younger head and scolded him, he was taking care of her as much possible behind the scenes of course no one knew. He sat down drinking his tea, the sound of rain, the silence in the restaurant and only the granny humming while she cook, calm all of his nerves and made him relax. Yet again he remember he was still human, and just being in this close space made him not be too bad.
@Alec Cross The air changed as Wonseo made his way back to The Sage, quickly and nimbly climbing the mooring ropes to gain access to the ship - scaring one of his crew mates in the process. "Wonseo! Use the ramp!" He was chastised, and took it with a laugh, quickly scampering his way into the belly of the boat to change his clothing.
Gone was the worn, pale linen - hung to dry - replaced with a red paisley shirt, long and flowing across his wiry frame. It had been an item they'd taken from a luxury liner, the sort of ship that ferried dukes and dames, and one he could not part with, in spite of it being at least two sizes too big and in an expensive silken fabric that caressed Wonseo's skin like the cool ocean breezes.
Wonseo tied it at the hem, tucking the item over to hide the tidy little bow, and adjusted his dark hair in the mirror, making sure he didn't look as sleep-deprived as he felt. Silver hoops adorned his ears and the right side of his lower lip, hair brushing against his brows lightly until pushed back. He was... Presentable. That was all that he needed to be, honestly.
Grabbing a leather satchel, Wonseo slung it over his shoulder to help with the shopping he'd have to do, and tucked the little music box he'd saved for Keroki in the bottom of it before he was off and shimmying down the ropes again in the effort to make it back to town quickly.
'He had hoped he would make it back quickly,' would have been a better statement.
Wonseo was no stranger to the fearsome captains of their times. Especially not ones that they shared docks with frequently. However, it was the first time that he had seen the dread Captain Cross up close. Momentarily, he was stunned, gazing into the beautiful heterochromatic eyes of the tall, tanned man; watching each confident step as though in a trance. Then, the cold flash of metal at his hip, gleaming in the sunlight, broke that spell. Wonseo blinked a few times, eyes still resting on the broad shoulders of the Captain as he watched the man walk away. That was ridiculous. He had to laugh - the sailor was fawning like a lovestruck puppy, along with the rest of the crowd.
Still... Dare he strike up a conversation with the man? He was *only* a man after all, right? "Captain!" Wonseo called out before he could recognize his own voice, a hand coming up to cover his lips as a sign of the instantaneous regret that he felt. He didn't plan for this, and didn't think his mouth would run away from him so easily.
@Wonseo Blisifal Alec was drinking till late, so he had falling asleep on his desk, he slept calmly and he was actually in a deep sleep, which happened rarely. As he slept the memories of his childhood past through his mind, he remember the pain, the abuse and the betrayal. He awaken when he roughly fell out of his desk, he grown as he slowly stood up "If someone mess up my ship..." he growl a bit under his breath. As he fixed himself then he burst the door open.
The men on the ship were silent, then they bow to their captain, he scanned when he saw two mermaids tied up. Then he notice they didn't hit rock, they were stop by sea mammals, he scuffed a bit as he looked at his vice captain. The vice captain shrugged 'we can killed them and move foreword, but they said alive' she show him the paperwork. The elder took out his pistol shooting both mermaids death, when they all heard a scream coming from the waters. Alec walked to the edges of his ship and smirk "Tell your friends, Captain Cross is back...and if they are smart they will stay out of way...if not they will become human food" he laughed as he shot the third mermaid, but let her alive as he notice the sharks and shrugged.
The men started to clean the mess, as the captain sat down on a beer barrel and stared at his two vice captains "If I have to kill again, I will make sure you both join them. The fact I got woken up because you both can't do your job amuses me" he scuffed a bit. One of the vice captains rolled her eyes as he looked at the men ordering them to clean faster, the other one had enough of Alec. He started to yell at him calling him a child, a kid, he already had people scared of him over the seas, and he was being a rude to others for no reason, then he said something that made the crew freeze in the spot. He yelled out of the top of his lungs 'No wonder your father left, your a selfish brat wit no matters, your mother would be disappointed in you boy!'
Alec face crack, the crew members started to tremble, no one and they really meant no one should ever speak of the captain past. The vice captain female walked out their way as he told the crew to go into their rooms and clean, and the rest to start preparing for find land. Alec show a twisted smile, his eyes sparkle a bit as he stood up. Before the the other male could touch him, Alec shot both of his legs, then he pulled him by the hair and threw him over board. He saw the sharks and chuckle darkly ".....You never said Captain...." he mumble as his face show this dark twisted demon. He then saw land, and he turn his head slightly "Men....I see land....we will dock and get supplies...and I will have mercy.....if you wish to run away this will be your chance...." he spoke as he made his way to his office.
His crew members weren't all weak, some of them admire him to the core, they set sale to the land, as they got close and dock, they saw people in the market pointing and walking away. Alec didn't want to put his hat on nor bring full weapons so he brought only one pistol. He allowed the crew to get supplies, food and clothes. Then he walked out of his ship, people stared at his captivating eyes, no one could not stare, even if he was dangerous he was still one of the most handsomest pirate in the world.
@Alec Cross The sun was low in the sky - barely peeking over the ocean in the east. Wonseo wished it was high already to be able to break away from the family, from the fish they were busy unloading from the hull... but it was not to be. They had to finish unloading soon, as the market opened with the sunrise, and their haul was the freshest today. His parents would be busy, quickly.
Wonseo carried the heavy barrels with one of his crew mates, each teeming with bitterly cold salt water and the fish they'd hauled from the shallows: sardines, herring, and this last barrel of small mackerel, all still swirling around.
The larger fish had all been offloaded first to be prepped and butchered at the family's stall in the fish market.
They looked delicious, laying atop beds of fresh ice as they set down the last barrel, Wonseo regarding the wet splashes across his thin, pale linen shirt with mild dismay. He'd have to run back aboard to grab a change of clothing so he didn't catch cold, as well as gathering his items from the ship. The Sage would cast off again tonight, so he had to make his day on land count - for everything. There were provisions to gather and people to see.
"I'll be back at sunset." Wonseo provided to his father, the captain of the ship, and his mother, who functioned as their butcher, as he patted down his wet chest, trying to temper some of the damp he felt. "I've got the list of what we need, and will bring everything to the shop before we sail." He was given a nod and a wave to set off about his day.
Wonseo set off, milling through the various vendors' stalls as the sun rose against his back, checking out the offerings of the high street for the day. There was always so much going on, and it was nice to be here before things got too busy for the day. It was almost a stroll as he slowly wound his way back towards the wharf, and The Sage, for his bags and a dry shirt.
