✧ s. hyeju 8 months ago
it is a good and sunny day and hyeju just finds a place to rest on the school bench. she places her bag beside her when she sees a member of the school committee approaching her. after a small greeting and orientation on what it is all about, hyeju nods.

[Q. What is your name, year and major?]

"I'm Son Hyeju, second-year computer science student. and sorry I don't look nerdy enough," hyeju answers in a nonchalant tone and her gaze seems straight enough to scare the interviewer. she gets that reaction a lot. she listens to the next question and leans back at the bench.

[Q. What are you looking forward to this school year?]

"well...not much to be honest, we are all here in the school to learn stuff, right?" hyeju cannot hide her real tone in this one. she is not entirely the type to sugarcoat her words.

[Q. Any clubs, groups or sports teams you want to advertise, to others that you're part of?]

hyeju scratches her head, "I'm part of the soccer team. maybe join sometime, we are in short of members. much appreciated if we get new members after this interview."

[Q. Anything else you wish to say?]

hyeju ponders a bit, with forming into a thin line.

"good luck to everyone I guess? and no one gonna drop out this year, even that's impossible."
✧ c. hyungwon 9 months ago
With the sun glow casting down on the campus, Hyungwon adjusted his seating to answer the questions this so-called committee wanted students to answer. They're lucky he even has free time for this. Oh well, no reason to be sour over a couple of questions.

With a contemplative gaze towards the interviewee, he answered meekly, "I'm Chae Hyungwon, fifth year soon to graduate with a doctorate in physical therapy." He sighed and continued, "Not much honestly. I get to graduate soon, so there's that. Other than that, probably do more collegey things since it's my last year."

There was a light twinkle in his eyes as he pondered over his next question, knowing he was going to mention physical therapy again. "I love helping people at the clinic, seeing people's lives change for the better definitely has changed my perspective. Other than that, you'll probably catch me on campus doing about damn near anything really. I'm a try-it-once kind of guy. So my message to any first-years or shoot, even if it's your last year, there's so much to do here. Just try things, man. Lots of clubs, people, and opportunities at this school. And a whole lot to explore too. Feel free to hit me up, got a whole list of things to do around here."
✧ s. ryuga 9 months ago
[Q. What is your name, year and major?]
ryuga smiles amiably, with his eyes slightly widen while contemplating for the best answer he can give.

"I'm sato ryuga, a 2nd year business ad major," he answers politely, and somehow he wants to add more but it will be awkward to do so. he keeps his hands clenched together while waiting for the interviewer to give the next question.

[Q. What are you looking forward to this school year?]
ryuga adjusts his posture and maintains his smile.

"I just hope the teachers will be a bit understanding this time around," he answers and scratches his head, "I was caught up in a lot of activities even I ask for extensions sometimes. but I guess it can't be helped." he thinks a bit, "ah yeah, I also hope in meeting new people. I am not active much in my first year."

[Q. Any clubs, groups or sports teams you want to advertise, to others that you're part of?]

ryuga tries to keep his stare straight since he knows that he is not much of a socialite person, at the same time, he longs for a sense of belonging.

"I am still...undecided. but I'm interested in the swimming club, I think they are cool," he says.

[Q. Anything else you wish to say?]

ryuga gives his sweetest smile and nods, "I hope this year will be the best for us! let's keep fighting." he realizes how cheesy those words are and his face is a bit red right now, in embarrassment.

[ q: what is your name, year, and major? ]
"dude, what's this for?" he asks with a hardened squint, the sun in his eyes as he's interrupted in the quad, holding a bag of props with the university's theater troupe practicing lines of their next show in the background.

juyeon sets the bag down as the cameraman breaks the fourth wall, answering, "it's for the freshman welcome video," followed by juyeon putting down his bag and beckoning the cameraman elsewhere.

"you won't capture anything usable with the sun in my face, man." he shoves his hands in his pockets and heads towards under the trees to a shady spot. "let's not break their focus either," he mutters and stands menacingly with his feet shoulder width apart as the cameraman shakily holds his camera.

"what was the question again?" juyeon asks the cameraman, and helps him hold the camera steady, "come on, man, you good?" his tongue clicks with the raise of his eyebrow as he leans in forward, whispering, "too much coffee?" juyeon doesn't realize he looks like he's about to shake the cameraman down.

"name, year, major," the cameraman quickly responds with his voice shaking.

"oh!" juyeon exclaims with wide smile, "that's right!" his shoulders roll back, broadening his chest as he gives the camera a large relaxed smile, announcing himself, "lee juyeon, mechanical engineering senior!" almost with a laugh as he comfortably points at the camera, "welcome, freshies!"

[ q: w- what are you looking forward to this school year? ]
his hands clap abruptly to the question as he leans back, arching his body as he answers, "you know, there's a whole load of great shows planned by our very own theatre troupe this year!" he nods his head with a reassuring smile, "make sure to support us by buying tickets and showing up!" his brows furrow as he becomes deep in thought. "i think by the time the freshmen see this, our next show will probably be in the fall..." he mutters to himself, then exclaims to the camera, "come watch the lion king at the university auditorium, the show's going to be amazing!" he gestures for the cameraman to turn the camera around at the troupe practicing lines in the quad, throwing his hands on the cameraman's shoulders "our troupe is the best in the area, you'd regret missing our show!" juyeon pats the cameraman on the shoulder and asks, "any other questions?"

[ q: any clubs, groups, or sports teams you want to advertise to others that you're part of? ]
"oh," he sounds disappointed behind the camera, "isn't that what i just did?" he pulls away with his hands on his hips as he thinks. "well, even if you've never done theater before, we're always looking for more people!" he says to the camera with a nod, gesturing at himself with his hands, "even an engineering major like me has a role on the crew bsckstage, so come check it out even if you don't think you'd be a good fit!" juyeon flashes the camera with a warm smile.

[ q: anything else you wish to say? ]
"good luck, freshmen!" he earnestly cheers on with a big goofy smile on his face, his fist waving in the air, "make memories, have fun, and stay in school!" he looks around the school, breathing in all the memories he's made in the past four years, "it'll be over before you know, so enjoy it while you can." the camera lingers on his serene smile before he interrupts it with a stiff and awkward thumbs up. "is that good, brother?" he asks before the footage cuts with the cameraman stating, "all good, brother "

1. what is your name, year, and major?
he settles his lethargic body down onto the seat, leaning back to conserve as much of his energy as possible. his brims parting for a brief moment as a prolonging yawn spills through. It is very apparent that he has zero interest in partaking in the interview, adorning a blank expression as he mumbles out his response. "lee seungjoo, second-year student, currently regretting taking up com sci."

2. what are you looking forward to this school year?
a soft grumble of discontentment begins to touch at his lips as he realizes this interview might take up more time than he expected. sleep deprivation aside, if he can't spend his morning still neatly tucked in under his blanket, he'd much rather spend his time in front of his computer. "well, if I must answer that question, the only thing I'm looking forward to is to compete in more tournaments and to further cultivate my skills. I just started a new game. ugh, I wish I was playing it right now." it is only then, at the mention of gaming, that a very slight smile blooms upon his visage.

3. any clubs, groups, or sports teams you want to advertise to others that you're part of?
his gaze settles onto the interviewer for once, somewhat in disbelief that they'd ask him such a question. "I don't indulge in things that would shift my focus elsewhere. unless the gaming club here can prove themselves to be somewhat competent to compete, I see no reason as to why I would join. so to answer your question, no. I do not."

4. anything else you wish to say?
"nope, no. I take it we're done here?" he pushes his body off the chair and makes his way towards the exit. his strides, however, soon come to a halt as a question pops into his mind. "hey, just wanted to ask for the sake of asking, just how many days of classes can I skip again?"

《 Introducing Sohee — graduate in her 2nd year of criminology.》

1. Hi, my name is han sohee, I'm a graduate student in my second year, majoring in criminology.

2. Hmmm looking forward to this school year, nothing really impresses me honestly, I'm bored day in and day out. No matter what I do, there's always a problem and it's beyond irritating to say the least. Can't please anyone at this point. So if I was to actually believe something can be better to look forward to, I'd say an attitude change from faculty and staff as well as students. Because same shi— different year.

3. Nope, I don't care about any clubs or sports. I think if someone has eyes and a mouth they can find out what club or sports that may pique their interests, no?

4. Not really, but on another note, maybe stop being judgemental to students who don't fit your criteria of a "good student." Not everyone is meant to be the same.

1. What is your name, year and major?
"You really don't know already? Ugh, fine," he checks his nails with a disinterested expression, not bothering to look up. "My name is Na Jaemin, I'm a third year undergraduate, and my major is Intellectual History."

2. What are you looking forward to this school year?
He taps his fingers against his knee, legs crossed. "Taking home the first place spot at National Cheer Tournament again. You... do know I'm cheer squad captain, right?"

3. Any clubs, groups or sports teams you want to advertise to others that you're part of?
"I just said I was captain of cheer- Whatever," he huffs a breath, blowing his bangs up momentarily before they drop back into perfect place. "If you have a halfway decent cartwheel you should consider joining cheer squad. Don't bother applying if you can't walk up the stairs without losing your breath."

4. Anything else you wish to say?
"No. Are we done now?"

《 Introducing Aria — a foreign student from India 》

1. Aria is my name, first year and journalism major.

2. Possibly looking forward to making some new friends. Since there's a lot of cultural differences between Korea and India, it'll be fun to learn more about those and how people are from another Asian country. Maybe learn how to have more fun, and not stick to the goody-two shoes life my mother implemented on me.

3. Recently joined the arts and crafts club so perhaps that, fairly nice people and the journalism club as well, writing the school paper on a weekly basis since you'd be in the know and would find out all the sweetest, latest gossips around. Sports wise, I'm interested in trying out for track and field. So can't say if it's great but, worth giving it a shot, no?

4. I'm a foreigner so my views and ways might be a culture shock to most, however, I hope we all can get along well and work together well. I sometimes have zero filter and a loud mouth and it can definitely get me into trouble on most occasions so I may clash with a lot of people due to that — I'm a Nerd and I love getting my work done and achieving the benefits of it via medals and recognition, but that doesn't mean that there isn't a part of me that doesn't crave to experience college for what it truly is. Maybe I'd meet some peeps who are willing to show me. Come talk to me, I don't bite.
