@♦ miles choi. chloe settled into the chair she had taken a seat in, the seat not being the comfiest but she let herself get as comfortable as she could be within it. she pulled out her phone, messaging her coworker that she would may be late to coming into the flower shop but to go ahead and open without her if needed. she looked up at the vet when the dog had made a soft noise, a sad coo escaping past her lips at the poor thing. she wondered how the dog could have got a gash like that in the first place. was it possibly from one of the bushes? the nearby park did have some particular bushes that chloe would definitely say needed to be fenced off because of its sharpness. after another moment, she had gotten up from the chair to check on the pup's leg, watching the vet finish wrapping up its leg in bandages.

after a moment, the vet announced that the dog was all set, though they would have to take meds and get their bandages changed a few times while it healed. she hummed as she nodded, though knowing she wasn't really the person who needed to know this information. she left the pup with the vet, having no reason to wait in the room with them. when she walked out, she heard someone frantically talking to the front desk worker. when she picked up the words 'call' and 'dog' she assumed that he was the owner of the dog she had brought in. she walked towards them with a soft smile. "are you miles? I brought your dog in. its all patched up. poor thing had a bit of a gash on its leg, I found it in an alley on my morning walk."

@♦ chloe wynters. For work, Miles would travel a lot, and go between different towns working with different artists and attending different gigs. When Miles would travel out of town and have to stay for a while in a different area, he would often find some sort of accommodation for his dog, Berry. This time, however, no one had been available to watch his companion. So with a bit of reluctance he took her along on his trip to Brindleton Bay.

It was often during these trips he could tell that poor Berry had been confused, however, none of which had left him worried about the well-being of her. It was a small moment that he had stepped away from her and when he had come back, she was gone. Miles could feel the panic starting to settle in when he had called her name and she had not came running to his feet, and immediately started to look everywhere, asking some of his friends with him if they had seen her but to no avail. There was only an hour left before Miles had to leave and get ready for one of his sets but even the thought of Berry not being safe at home made things difficult.

When his phone started ringing, Miles had answered it almost immediately. It was a vet clinic in town, letting him know that Berry was there and under their care and that she had an injured leg but had otherwise been alright. Miles could feel a sense of relief wash over him after hearing the news, and texted his coworkers that he would be late. Rushing inside the vet clinic Miles tried to compose himself before approaching the front desk. “Uhm, I’m Miles?” He didn’t mean to sound so confused. “Sorry, sorry. I mean , I had gotten a call about my dog, Berry?”

@♦ miles choi. chloe had been going on her daily morning walk along the town, enjoying the scenery as well as checking out some of her neighbor's gardens. she greeted people on her way, striking up some conversations with people she knew. her bright smile stayed on her face until it faltered at the sound of whimpering. her eyebrows furrowed as she looked around, not seeing anything around her that could have been making the noise. right when she was about to walk again, she heard the sound again, causing her to stop again. after another quick look, she decided to check the small alley she was near, seeing if whatever was making the noise happened to be hiding within the darkness of walls hidden from the rising sun. once walking down far enough, her eyes adjusting to the darkened area, she finally noticed the little dog cowering by the dumpster. she couldn't help but sadly coo, slowly kneeling down as to not scare the dog, sticking her hand out to see if it was friendly, having run into her fair amount of stray aggressive animals in her time living in brindleton bay. however, she was greeted with the dog sniffing her hand before letting her pet it. as she pet the puppy, she looked around, noticing it's leg had a small gash on it. she hummed before she turned back to the puppy's face. "you poor thing, we should get you to the vet, yeah?"

after petting the dog for a moment, she slowly attempted to pick up the dog, allowing room for it to try to escape her grasp if uncomfortable. although, the dog accepted being carried, and chloe started heading towards the vet clinic in the town. she felt bad for having to hold the dog the whole walk, worried about hurting it further, but she continued along, knowing it was the best for the health of the puppy. as she reached the vet clinic, she entered the building with a chime from the door. she walked to the front desk, smiling at the worker she has met several times. "hi there. I found this little one in an alley, and it's poor leg is injured. do you have availability to take them?" the worker smiled and nodded, explaining that it had been a slow day and they had a vet all ready for the dog. the worker sent over the information and not long after the veterinarian entered the room asking for them. chloe carried the dog to the clinical room, setting it down on the table before petting it's head. "could you check for a microchip? it seems friendly enough that I think it might belong to someone." chloe smiled as she spoke to the vet, and they were quick to scan for a microchip and what do you know, there was one. the vet sent the information to the front desk worker to inform the owner. while the vet had told chloe she was okay to leave if she wanted, chloe felt like she couldn't leave until the owner of the dog was there. so, she sat in one of the seats while the vet worked on the dog's injured leg.
