which makes sense cause uve already chalked up that relationship as being romantic and so u'd adjust accordingly, versus having no control or sense into what in-game heizou might be thinking or experiencing outside of his scripted lines
yeah. like, for example, i notice when i write our heizou specifically with mignon, i feel like i can better access "romance brain" ig bc i know what he's like and what he's thinking when with mignon.
but yeah. i run into this in literally every fandom, so i often just don't even like... engage in ship talks. i usually opt to stay quiet since it's something i don't personally get/relate to.
which is why most fandoms aren't worth engaging that hard with. there are those fun little pockets tho, but a lot of fandoms these days are too serious for their own good
but with caitvi, i saw signs of them developing feelings and was like "ah okay, so they're crushing but they might not like each other fr fr" and i assumed that they would be more focused on their objectives than each other to actually develop something tgt, if that makes sense.
even as someone who tries to see the romantic undertones, i don't think caitvi is the best example of what a romantic route vs platonic route looks like
sometimes i feel like maybe i'm missing a few gears bc i legit default to "everything is and can be platonic" idk. like i said, i can see when it isn't platonic and why it isn't, but that's not what i immediately jump to bc i don't like... function that way.
bc i run into that a lot and i'm like "but how?" since all of it is speculative and up to interpretation and i think it's because i lack the perspective that i have that i don't understand even though i want to.
