a 10:30am mourning sess on a tuesday wasnt in the schedule but here i am

that was my best friend

his collar still hangs from my rear view

i still have that stained pillow i gave him for when he wanted to sleep on the floor. his toys are still in the same place he left them. his food and water bowl are still in their spots. still havent washed my blanket bc his fur is still on it. the front door has his nose smudges on it

and i sit there like, damn, i miss him taking up all the space on the bed, i miss being annoyed at him barking at nothing, i miss him waking me up in the middle of the night bc he was uncomfortable, i miss him practically pinning me to the ground to my face, i miss him annoying my fam to be let out so he can greet me at the back gate when i got home, i miss all inevitable dog hair on my bed and clothes, i miss him coming up to me and wanting attention, i miss him pulling on he leash on walks because he was excited.

been having this thought for a while now
