❖ WORLD SETTING INSPIRATION/REFERENCES:ㅤThe Xianzhou Luofu (Honkai Star Rail), Huanglong Region (Wuthering Waves), Linkon City (Love & Deepspace)

✦ LOCATION:ㅤAeonys City, off the coast of South Korea (Year 2409) — An artificial island, home to eons or eon-humans. About two hundred years ago, the isle was strictly made for research purposes only. Come the year 2300, Aeonys was rebuilt, brought up with nature, and given city status. Now thriving on its own culture and tourism, they eventually allowed regular humans to visit or to live among its Eon residents. Following their previous segregation under research, four factions have been established, each assigned their own element and respective district.

✦ EONS / EON-HUMANS:ㅤA special bloodline of human beings that were once believed to have gone extinct. These are humans with elemental abilities, born with longer lifespans and a core in place of a human heart. It is still unexplained how they've come to evolve this way, making them a popular subject for researchers.

✦ EONSTRIKERS:ㅤMonsters born from highly concentrated and unregulated elemental energy, usually taking the form of mutations in the environment. They are commonly made of only one element and will actively hunt and attack vulnerable Eons for their core. Sentinels are tasked to kill any Eonstrikers on sight.

✦ SENTINELS:ㅤThe designated protectors of Aeonys City, only consisting of highly trained and element-stable individuals.

✦ OVERCLOCKING:ㅤOtherwise known as Elemental Destabilization or Elemental Rupture, a term describing an individual's loss of control over their elemental energy, which often causes harm or damage to people and property in the process.

✦ THE FACET PROJECT:ㅤAeonys' most prominent research study. Every month, a number of Eons are chosen for monthly evaluation. In special cases, some Eons are born with two elements, which suggest a higher risk of overclocking and require regular check-ups to ensure stability.

SENTINEL CATEGORIES

The Sentinels are made up of four groups, categorized by their element and a designated area of protection. All sentinels carry a brooch of their respective gemstones, which also function as scannable identification items.

✦ TOPAZ FACET: Earth elementals. Designated to the inner city ; residential, industrial, and business areas.

✦ RUBY FACET: Fire elementals. Designated to the outer city ; city outskirts and the countryside.

✦ OPAL FACET: Air elementals. Designated to untouched, natural environments ; forests, and local flora and fauna.

✦ SAPPHIRE FACET: Water elementals. Designated to coastlines and the surrounding sea.
