On-deck Pool

Where the crew refreshes themselves and other secret lies.

@Mile Phakphum Apo kept his back turned until he was sure Mile was gone. Slowly he turned his body and looked at the mess of the meal tray, checking once more before cleaning up the discarded food and placing it on the tray. The merman's stomach growled but with the state of the food, it was inedible at that point.

He swam away to the other side of the pool, checking a third time before hoisting himself out of the pool and onto the wooden floor. Concentrating his powers on transforming into his human form, which unfortunately left him . He stumbled as he got used to having legs, searching the room until he found extra clothes someone had left behind. It was rather large but it would work for the time being. Now all he had to do was hide and wait until someone came to clean up. It didn't take long before he heard the door open and one of the younger crew members came in, leaving the door opened. Slowly and quietly he crawled out from where he was hiding and snuck out the door, careful not to alarm anyone as he grabbed a cloak and pulled the hood up before making his way to the top of the ship.

"The siren has escaped!!" Apo heard the younger crew member shout, everyone becoming frantic as they searched for him. But neither the crew or Mile knew that while merpeople and sirens look similiar in the water with pale skin and white hair, only merpeople could use their powers to have human legs taking on the appearance of tanned skin, caramel colored eyes and dark almost black hair. He prayed to the sea gods that he wouldn't be discovered before he made it off the ship.

As Apo made his way to the deck of the ship, he felt the eyes of one of the men. He had to get off this ship if he wanted to survive. Making his way to the side of the deck, he looked out to the sea and the surrounding area, this wasn't his home, he couldn't even see the island from here. He had no idea where home was from here but the water seemed safer than the ship, he thought as he placed his hand on the wooden railing, throwing a leg over. Before he could get any further, he felt someone grab him by the waist and pulled him down onto the hard deck floor. He didn't have to look up to see who it was, he already recognized the shiny pointed boots. He prayed to the sea gods that Mile would spare his life, but he didn't know if his prayers would be answered.

@Apo Nattawin Hearing the latter whimper, his words echoing inside the room, a part of Mile wanted to believe the other. Somehow, deep within him, he felt that sincerity but the fear and anger in his heart, in every fiber of his being stopped him from believing the siren, even when tears cascaded down his cheeks, staining his tan skin, Mile's brows remained furrowed. "Don't start tricking me, you monstrous creature. I know you're trying to tug on my emotions to pity and believe you just like I did years ago but I wasn't the same naive boy back then. I now know better than to believe your kind."

Mile spewed his words like venom, full of anger and rage. Still trying to feed the latter, Mile didn't expect the sudden force from the siren as the plate fly midair as the latter freed himself from his grip, pushing him back in the process as he spat the food out and him stumbling back on the floor. Gathering his composure, he watched as the creature still tried to defend himself. 'Don't believe him, Mile. That'll be your biggest mistake and another one at that. He tricked you before and he will do it again in a heartbeat.'

"I don't answer questions from someone like you. Since you refused to eat, you won't be given anything until we reach the mainland in a day or two. From now on, if you'd like to have some food, you must beg for it. You're lucky that I haven't killed you for your insolence, siren, but I promise you, if you act like this again, there won't be a next time for you." Stepping out of the room, Mile asked one of their younger crew to clean up in the room he was just in as he heads back to his, slumping again on the swivel chair, heaving out a deep breath as he once again drowns himself in alcohol, the only thing that helps him get through the night and his nightmares.

@Mile Phakphum Apo felt sick to his stomach as Mile compared his kind to that of those vile sirens but he pushed his anguish aside while showing kindness to the other man.

With his wrist now captured, Apo could only watch as the scar he'd just touched began to heal. Just a small patch of skin, it would take a lot more energy to heal Mile of his injury in it's entirety. The glowing in his hand began to dim as he felt himself shrink below the man's gaze, his voice quiet as he spoke, "We do not harm humans, they do" he kept his voice as even and calm as possible "Heal, not hurt" he whimpered as he tried to get free.

Apo's heart wept for this man, he'd been outcasted and thrown aside because of a scar. He used his other hand to attempt to get his wrist free, careful not to harm the other and make him angrier. Suddenly Mile gripped his chin after spitting harsh knife-like words towards him. His eyes welled up with iridescent tears that slid down his cheeks as he was forcefully fed. He shoved the human with all his strength and broke free spitting the food out only the floor, slamming hard against the wall of the pool and wrapped his arms around himself "I'm sorry. Please, please don't hurt me" he began to sob. "I'm not a siren. Please let me go. Please!" He begged even with the back turned "I don't have claws or sharp teeth! Are you so blind to your anger that you can't tell the difference?!"

@Apo Nattawin Mile doesn't understand himself either. He is still seething with so much anger and rage but seeing the siren turn his body away from him, evidently scared of what he could do to him, he felt a range of emotions in his chest, and because he never knew how to deal with his own emotions and only knew how to express himself through anger, he did just that. "What are you turning away for? Aren't luring men your specialty? One is now in front of you, willing to feed you and you dare turn away from me?" Mile's words were like venom and just as he was about to continue, he felt the wetness and warmth of the siren's skin against his cheek, stunning him to the point that he didn't know what to say.

"You did not deserve this." Those words echoed in his mind a few more times before he snapped out of it. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" Mile's voice was low, his own emotions, swirling in his chest, all of it are just threatening to explode but he held back yet he couldn't hold himself back from doing what he just did. His hand flies forth as he still balanced the tray of food on his lap, right hand now gripping the siren's wrist. "Don't you dare ing touch me, you filthy creature. I didn't deserve this? What a ing joke. You are the reason why I'm like this!" Mile spewed, panting as he tried his best to keep his anger under control but he's so close to losing it.

Gripping as tightly as he could yet be careful to not break any bones, he ensured that he's able to leave a mark as soon as he lets go. "Don't ever ing tell me what I deserve or not. Because of the scar you gave me, I already lost everything. I have nothing. All that I have left is my anger for you and my desire to have my revenge over you and your kind. Don't ever forget your place, siren. You're nothing to me. Nothing." Without another word, Mile grabbed the latter's cheeks with one hand and force fed the siren, still staring daggers at him.

"Chew and eat or today is going to be the last day that you breathe."

@Mile Phakphum Apo had taken the time since his capture to rest, his wounds were nearly healed and then he could figure out a way off of this ship. He heard the sound of footsteps approaching outside of the room before the door opened. The man with the eye patch, Mile, Apo had found out while listening to the chatter of the other crew members.

The merman pressed himself against the pool as far away from the other as possible. Apo watched the man cautiously, noticing the softened look in his eyes before his gaze became razor sharp again. He'd never been looked at in his 25 years of life, as if he'd taken everything from this man. A siren was the cause of this, merpeople were peaceful and never harmed others, especially humans. But Mile was convinced that Apo was the cause of his anguish and there was nothing he could do.

Apo looked at the plate full of food and then up at Mile before turning his body away so that his back was facing Mile. Even if he ate something, his fate would remain the same, to be brought on land and away from the sea. He thought the man would give up eventually, what he didn't expect was for Mile to get into the pool with him. Apo turned away for a moment, thinking through his next decision before turning back and approaching the other man.

Apo's gaze traveled up to Mile's face, focusing on the scar. This man must have endured so much pain to hold onto his hate for so long. He reached out his hand, letting the water drip as he raised it to Mile's face, hesitating only for a moment before grazing his hand against Mile's cheek, ever so carefully brushing his thumb against the scar that showed. "You did not deserve this" he spoke softly, his voice raspy after not speaking for nearly a week. He closed his eyes and tried to focus his power on the scar below his thumb, a soft glow coming from his hand before it was suddenly grabbed by Mile in a punishing grip. Apo only wanted to help but it seems like he's made things worse.

@Apo Nattawin It's been a week since they captured the siren. Mile didn't want to care at first, but he knew that to some degree he does and for some reason, the few times he visited the creature had him weirdly fussing over him, especially when other crew takes care of the latter. Since he didn't like it when something is bugging him, he decided to exclusively take over what the creature needs to survive at least until they make it to the mainland, which not until within a week as the weather had become treacherous these past few days. Just like tonight, dinner has been served and the siren must be fed as well. With a steaming plate of meat and other variety of veggies and fruits, unsure as to what he likes since this is the first time he's bringing him a meal, Mile pushed the door open that leads to the pool he had especially made for this creature.

Entering the space, he noticed how the latter cowered in a corner. Though his wounds have already healed, the scars are still visible and even then, his beauty still stands out and with just one look at his face and that beautiful physique he has, Mile almost forgot why he's here in the first place. Shaking his head, he once again glanced at the creature with contempt in his gaze, his face still stoic as he got closer, sitting on the edge of the pool. "Here you go. You better eat this time. My men had told me that you've been refusing to do so, and I won't leave until I see you finish this full plate or else, I'll see to it that you're eating, munching away and your plate is clean."

Suddenly realizing the whole set up of the room, it's not like the siren can just hold this quite heavy plate. Feeling a bit of a fool, he took a mental note to have a sort of tray that can be placed on the siren's lap or tail so that he can eat too but for now, he did what he could and got in the pool as well, still sitting on the edge of it with feet and legs submerged, the plate on his lap instead. "Come here and don't make me wait. I don't have much patience for insolence. I'll feed you for now but tomorrow, you'll have to eat on your own."

Muttering in a low voice, he gestured for the creature to come close as it's high time that he learns how humans eat since this is how he'll be eating once they get back on land as well, where his intricate plan of revenge is already being built, his mind filled with thoughts of how to torture the creature and give it back the pain tenfold that he endured all because of being blind and left with a nasty scar that shunned him from ever having a normal life.
