Decadence is inspired by the novel and television serious "Gossip Girl" with a bit of a twist. Taking place in New York City, the graduates of Constance Billiard, a prestigious private school, are now adults making there way through the real world (or whatever reality awaits the rich with too much money on their hands).

Gossip Girl takes on a new anonymous identity to follow the lives of her high school victims as she claims there are many secrets yet to be revealed. Will the graduates of Constance Billiard be able to keep their secrets or will their reputations be tarnished?

decadence is a mature themed roleplay that will likely deal with heavy content; because of this, we ask that writers under the age of 18 do not apply. we understand that this may cause some frustration however we are following roleplayrepublics guidelines regarding mature themed roleplays.

out of character drama will not be tolerated under any circumstances. you are to take your issues to your private messages or to a group private message with an admin should you feel you cannot come to a resolution on your own. any and all hostility from either party will be recorded by an admin and, if necessary, send to the moderators of roleplay republic.

this roleplay will operate on a three strike system. you may be given more than one strike depending on the severity of your offence. failure to follow any given warnings, or if you reach your third strike, you will removed from the roleplay and banned for 7 days. this may be extended, reduced or changed to a permanent ban if warranted.

consent is key. if another roleplay is intentionally ignoring your boundaries, notify an admin immediately. be sure to include trigger warnings if your threads include sensitive content.

keep your out of character and in character emotions separate. remember: you are not your characters. if you feel that you are being negatively impacted by your roleplay, take a break. come back after a day or two, discuss civilly with your partner what needs to change(if needed) and move on.

while we do accept new accounts, if we find that you using multiples to double up on characters, you will be immediately banned.

inactivity is set to 10 days. you will receive one warning from an admin; if you are not active within 48 hours of receiving, you will removed and unable to rejoin for 3 days. if you are unable to keep up with maintaining activity, consider dropping threads/characters.

instead of a point requirement, we are requiring that participants have either 1-2 active threads or 3-4 threads in the plotting stages within the first 10 days of joining the roleplay.

while we are a multi-pov roleplay, we encourage users to be semi-literate to literate. be descriptive, do not give one liners(unless using a social media room or a fast-paced conversation).

we require participants to have a basic profile set up with 3 days upon joining the roleplay; this means having your trivial information and character quirks completed. completed profiles must be done within 2 weeks upon joining. we will accept dot points or shorthand sentences for longer content such as personality and character backgrounds.

we will allow up to 4 characters per user. please refer to the request room to find out how you can obtain your additional characters. 

we do not accept faceclaims that fit into the following categories: problematic, have been convicted of a crime or have had serious allegations brought against them, under the age of 20 internationally, deceased, ographic actors/actresses, cosplayers and/or have stated they do not want to be roleplayed.

bubble roleplaying, userchasing, facechasing, etc., are not allowed. for a welcome 15 points, tell us your favourite song.
